Is EA Sports FC 27 worth KSh 9,000 on PS5?

EA Sports FC 27 is worth KSh 9,000 if you play FUT online or want this season's squads, and it is the PS5 game we restock most often. Manager Career gets a rebuilt Transfer Market with buy-back and performance clauses. Dynamic OVRs make player ratings rise and fall with form, morale and fitness.

The PS5 edition also carries The Grounds, a social football space with Kickabouts, 1v1s and Clubs, which the PS4 version leaves out. Offline players can save money. EA Sports FC 26 costs KSh 4,700 (October 2026), and EA Sports FC 25 costs KSh 4,000 (October 2026). Both still play Career and Kick-Off without internet. Lounges that charge per match usually want the newest edition, because players notice old squads.

Which PS5 sports and racing games can you buy in Kenya?

Sports games are our busiest PS5 shelf after football. NBA 2K27 carries this season's rosters for MyCAREER and MyTEAM players. EA Sports UFC 6 is the dearest game on the shelf and runs only on PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, so it suits buyers who have already upgraded. WWE 2K26 also has no PS4 version.

Cricket 26, the official game of the 2025-26 Ashes, costs KSh 7,000 (October 2026) and is rated PEGI 3. For racing, MotoGP 26 covers the 2026 championship, while F1 25 at KSh 5,900 (October 2026) gives a full Formula 1 season for less. The trade-off: yearly sports titles lose value fastest once the next edition arrives.

Which PS5 action and shooter games are worth buying?

Ghost of Yotei costs KSh 8,300 (October 2026) and has been a PS5 exclusive since October 2025. It follows a revenge hunt across the snowfields of northern Japan. 007 First Light is a young James Bond origin story from the makers of Hitman, rated PEGI 16. Crimson Desert is a single-player open world from Pearl Abyss. Assassin's Creed Black Flag Resynced rebuilds the 2013 pirate game, and its listing notes that you need internet to install it.

For shooters, Call of Duty Black Ops 7 costs KSh 7,000 (October 2026) and is rated PEGI 18. Halo Campaign Evolved brings Master Chief's first campaign to PlayStation, with rebuilt cinematics and four-player online co-op. Resident Evil Requiem lets you switch between first-person and third-person views. Spider-Man 2 at KSh 6,300 (October 2026) is rated ESRB Teen, a better fit for younger teenagers. The trade-off: most games in this group carry 16 or 18 ratings, so check before you buy for a child.

What are the best PS5 games for children and families?

Astro Bot costs KSh 6,400 (October 2026). It is a 3D platformer from Team Asobi, built around the DualSense controller's haptic feedback. LEGO Batman Legacy of the Dark Knight is rated Everyone 10+ and has two-player split-screen co-op, so siblings can share one console.

Minecraft Legends costs KSh 5,150 (October 2026) and mixes the Minecraft world with action strategy. Sonic X Shadow Generations at KSh 4,700 (October 2026) is a fast platformer that younger players pick up quickly. The trade-off: Astro Bot is single-player, so it will not end arguments over whose turn it is.

Which PS5 games cost less than KSh 5,000 in Kenya?

Many of our older PS5 games sit between KSh 4,000 and KSh 5,000, which suits students and anyone paying through M-Pesa on a tight month. Far Cry 6 costs KSh 4,000 (October 2026). Hogwarts Legacy and Grand Theft Auto V each cost KSh 4,300 (October 2026). Mortal Kombat 1 costs KSh 4,800 (October 2026), and EA Sports FC 25 sits at KSh 4,000. The trade-off: older sports titles get fewer new online events once a newer edition launches.

How should you choose a PS5 game in Kenya?

1. Check the age rating. Shooters and horror games are mostly PEGI 16 or 18, while LEGO, Sonic and Astro Bot suit children.
2. Decide online or offline. Most online multiplayer needs PS Plus. A Safaricom or Airtel home fibre line gives steadier matches than a phone hotspot.
3. Know your console. A PS5 Digital Edition has no disc slot, so it needs the add-on disc drive first. Our PS5 Disc vs Digital Edition guide explains the difference.
4. Pick new or last season. Buy the new edition for live events and current squads; buy last season's game for offline play at about half the price.
5. Plan for power cuts. Large game updates are best downloaded over Wi-Fi, and a small UPS keeps a match and your save safe during a KPLC outage.

Can I play PS4 games on a PS5 in Kenya?

Yes, Sony says the PS5 plays the overwhelming majority of PS4 games, so a PS4 disc works on a PS5 with a disc drive. The game runs as the PS4 version, without PS5-only features such as The Grounds in EA Sports FC 27. Sony also notes that PS4 discs cannot be used with the PS5 Digital Edition. Ask us on WhatsApp before buying a PS4 disc for a PS5.
