Halo Campaign Evolved is now in stock at Mascom International for KSh 8,200, brand new and sealed on PS5 disc at our Nairobi CBD store. Made by Halo Studios, Halo Campaign Evolved rebuilds the 2001 campaign that introduced Master Chief and Cortana, this time on Unreal Engine 5. It launched on July 28, 2026, and it is the first time this story has reached PlayStation. Halo Campaign Evolved adds three prequel missions, nine extra weapons and four-player online co-op to the original adventure. Collect your copy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, or order it for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Halo Campaign Evolved suits PS5 owners who never played Halo because it lived only on Xbox and PC. It also fits university students at Kenyatta University and Strathmore sharing one console in a hostel room. Two-player split-screen lets a roommate or sibling join on the same TV with a second DualSense controller. Friends across town can join online, up to four players in one campaign. Returning fans get the story they remember, with new cinematics and a fully remastered soundtrack. For many Kenyan gamers the problem was simple: no PlayStation version existed. Halo Campaign Evolved closes that gap on the console already under your TV.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya, Mascom International lets you check the factory seal at the counter before you pay. PS5 owners across Nairobi tell us they prefer disc copies they can lend, trade or resell once the final mission is done. Halo Campaign Evolved also carries a 6-month Mascom International warranty, explained in full below. Nairobi orders arrive the same day, and you settle by M-Pesa or cash only when the parcel reaches you. Walk in Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or message us on WhatsApp to reserve a copy today.
Common Questions About the Halo Campaign Evolved
How much is the Halo Campaign Evolved PS5 Physical Disc in Kenya?
Halo Campaign Evolved costs KSh 8,200 at Mascom International in Nairobi, brand new and factory sealed on PS5 disc. That price covers the disc in its original retail case and a 6-month Mascom International warranty against disc manufacturing defects. Delivery is pay-on-arrival, so you inspect the sealed case before handing over any money. Nairobi buyers usually receive it the same day, and every other major town gets it within 1 business day.
How does Halo Campaign Evolved compare with the original Halo Combat Evolved?
Halo Campaign Evolved keeps the full 2001 story but adds three prequel missions and nine extra weapons the original never had. The 2001 release left the Covenant Wraith tank to the enemy, while the 2026 version lets you drive it. Cinematics are rebuilt and the soundtrack is remastered. Pick the original only if you already own it on Xbox or PC and want the untouched classic. On PS5, Halo Campaign Evolved is the only way to play this campaign at all.
Can I play Halo Campaign Evolved co-op with friends in Kenya?
Yes, Halo Campaign Evolved supports four-player online co-op and two-player split-screen on a single PS5. Split-screen needs only a second DualSense controller, which Mascom International stocks. Online sessions run comfortably on Safaricom Home Fibre, Zuku or Faiba connections, and a 4G router works for lighter evenings. Cross-play links you with friends on PC, and cross-progression carries your save between console and PC. Sony's rules for paid PS5 games usually call for PlayStation Plus for online play, so check your membership first.
Will the Halo Campaign Evolved disc work on a PS5 Slim Digital Edition or PS5 Pro?
Halo Campaign Evolved runs on any PS5 that can read discs, including the standard PS5 and the PS5 Slim with its built-in drive. The PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro ship without a drive, so they need Sony's detachable disc drive attached first. The original 2020 PS5 Digital Edition cannot take that drive and cannot read this disc. If you are unsure which console you own, send a photo of it on WhatsApp and our team will confirm.
Does Halo Campaign Evolved need internet, and how does it cope with power cuts?
Halo Campaign Evolved installs from the disc, and split-screen co-op works without a live connection once installed. Connect once to pick up any patches Halo Studios has released since launch, then play offline whenever you like. A KPLC power cut mid-mission is the bigger risk, because unsaved progress since your last checkpoint can be lost. Players in outage-prone estates often run the PS5 from a UPS, which gives you enough time to reach a checkpoint and shut down properly.
Is Halo Campaign Evolved worth KSh 8,200 for someone new to Halo?
Halo Campaign Evolved is a strong starting point, because it is the first story in the series and needs no earlier games. You meet Master Chief, Cortana and the Covenant from their first meeting. Improved wayfinding points newcomers toward each objective, so large levels feel less confusing. The three prequel missions give context before the main story starts. Optional Skulls, including one that removes the HUD entirely, let you raise the challenge later and replay the campaign in a different way.
Why buy the physical disc instead of a PlayStation Store download?
A physical copy of Halo Campaign Evolved gives you a licence you can hold, lend to a friend, trade in, or resell later. A Store download stays locked to your PlayStation account for good. Buying the disc also means no card payment online, since Mascom International accepts M-Pesa or cash when the parcel arrives. Households sharing one console can pass the case between siblings without sharing account passwords. The trade-off is that you need a PS5 with a working disc drive.
Who should buy Halo Campaign Evolved, and who should skip it?
Halo Campaign Evolved suits story players, couch co-op households, and PS5 owners curious about the series that defined Xbox. It is not for anyone wanting ranked online matches, because this release is campaign-only with no competitive multiplayer mode. Xbox Series X or Series S owners with Game Pass already had access on day one, so a PS5 disc adds nothing for them. Owners of a disc-free PS5 Pro should budget for the detachable drive, or wait until they have one.
Technical Specifications
Campaign Content and Story
- The full original campaign from 2001 is rebuilt, covering Master Chief, Cortana, the Covenant and the Halo ring megastructure.
- Three new prequel missions star Master Chief and Sgt. Johnson, set before the original story, so veterans get fresh levels.
- Every mission carries high-definition visuals, so familiar battles on the ring look current on a modern television.
- Built on Unreal Engine 5, replacing the 2001 game's engine with technology used for current-generation releases.
- Campaign-only release with no competitive multiplayer, so every hour on the disc goes to story and co-op play.
Co-op and Cross-Play
- Four-player online co-op lets a full squad clear missions together, each player on their own console or PC.
- Two-player split-screen couch co-op on PS5 needs one TV and a second DualSense controller, with no extra console.
- Cross-play connects PS5 players with friends on PC, so a group with mixed machines can still share one campaign.
- Cross-progression carries campaign progress between console and PC, useful for players who own both platforms.
- Online sessions on paid PS5 games usually require PlayStation Plus, while split-screen play runs without any membership.
Weapons, Vehicles and Skulls
- Nine additional weapons from across the Halo series join the original arsenal, giving more ways to clear each encounter.
- Expanded enemy and vehicle line-ups add variety to levels that returning players already know by heart.
- You can hijack enemy vehicles mid-fight, turning a Covenant patrol into your own transport and firepower.
- For the first time in this campaign, the Covenant Wraith tank becomes drivable instead of staying enemy-only.
- The largest set of Skulls in the series lets you randomize weapons, enemies and environments for different repeat runs.
- One Skull switches off the HUD entirely, and another turns Grunt headshots into confetti for lighter sessions.
Presentation and Sound
- Rebuilt cinematics retell each story scene with new animation work, replacing the original 2001 cutscenes.
- A fully remastered soundtrack brings the original score up to current audio quality for TV speakers or a headset.
- Rebuilt sound design gives weapons, vehicles and environments new audio, which you hear most clearly through headphones.
- Smoother controls and movement make Master Chief handle like a recent shooter rather than an early-2000s one.
- Improved wayfinding and combat flow cut the time newcomers spend lost in large outdoor levels.
PS5 Compatibility
- Plays on the standard PS5 and the PS5 Slim with built-in disc drive, straight from the sealed case.
- PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro owners must attach Sony's detachable disc drive before the console reads it.
- The original 2020 PS5 Digital Edition cannot take the detachable drive, so it cannot play this disc.
- The game installs to the console's internal SSD from the disc, as every PS5 disc game does before first launch.
- Patches download over Wi-Fi or Ethernet after install, keeping your copy on the same version as online friends.
Disc and Case
- One PS5 game disc ships inside the original PS5 retail case, factory sealed in its shrink-wrap.
- The licence lives on the disc rather than an account, so you can lend, trade or resell it freely.
- Keeping the disc in its case protects it from the dust that settles on shelves during the dry season.
- Store the case upright away from direct sun, since heat can warp discs left on a windowsill or car dashboard.
- Any disc defect from manufacture falls under the Mascom International warranty set out in its own section.
