Call of Duty Vanguard for PS5 sells at Mascom International for KSh 7,100, brand new and sealed in its original standard edition case. Sledgehammer Games developed Call of Duty Vanguard, Activision published it, and it reached shelves on November 5, 2021. The disc holds a story campaign, online multiplayer and a Zombies mode built with Treyarch, carrying a PEGI 18 rating for realistic war violence. You can collect Call of Duty Vanguard at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or have it delivered with pay-on-arrival anywhere in Kenya.

Built for history lovers and players who grew up on Second World War shooters, Call of Duty Vanguard tells its story across four fronts. You fight in the Pacific, North Africa, the Eastern Front and the Western Front, each through a different soldier's eyes. Many modern shooters feel interchangeable, with drones and glowing gadgets on every map. This campaign answers that with bolt-action rifles, paratroopers, dive bombers and burning cities. University students at Kenyatta University and the University of Nairobi who study twentieth-century history will recognise Midway, Stalingrad, El Alamein and Normandy straight from their lecture notes.

Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell loose or resealed discs, Mascom International supplies Call of Duty Vanguard factory sealed with its full cover insert. That matters when you plan to trade or resell the disc later, because sealed copies hold value. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us the period setting is the reason they pick this entry over newer releases. Mascom International stocks several Call of Duty titles side by side, so staff at our Kimathi Street counter can help you choose the right era before you pay by M-Pesa or cash.

Yes, if you want a complete Second World War package on one PS5 disc at a mid-range price. For KSh 7,100 at Mascom International you get a full story campaign, online multiplayer and a Zombies mode. That works out to less than KSh 2,400 per mode. Newer Call of Duty releases usually cost more on disc in Kenya, while this one still receives regular players online. A sealed copy also resells better than a loose disc if you trade it later.

The Call of Duty Vanguard campaign moves between four theatres of the Second World War, told out of chronological order. You defend Tobruk and fight at El Alamein in North Africa, and fly over Midway before landing on Bougainville in the Pacific. On the Eastern Front you hold out inside Stalingrad, and in the west you drop with paratroopers during Operation Tonga before Normandy. Later missions reach Hamburg and Berlin as the squad, Task Force One, hunts a Nazi secret.

Call of Duty Vanguard is set in the 1940s, while Call of Duty Black Ops Cold War follows spies and agents through the early 1980s. Vanguard leans on bolt-action rifles, trench and city combat and real battlefields such as Stalingrad and Midway. Black Ops Cold War favours espionage missions, story choices and a different Zombies storyline. Pick Vanguard for wartime history, and pick Black Ops Cold War for Cold War intrigue. Mascom International stocks both on PS5 disc.

Yes, online multiplayer and online Zombies sessions in Call of Duty Vanguard need an active PlayStation Plus subscription on PS5. The story campaign does not need PS Plus, so you can play it solo without subscribing. Mascom International sells PS Plus subscription codes, delivered by email or WhatsApp, so you can add online access when you buy the disc. Cross-play with PC and Xbox players is supported, which keeps matchmaking queues busy at most hours.

You can play the Call of Duty Vanguard campaign offline once the disc is installed, but multiplayer and Zombies need a live connection. Download the latest patch on Safaricom Home Fibre, Zuku or Faiba first, because updates are large and slow on mobile bundles. Campaign progress saves at checkpoints, so a KPLC power cut costs you a few minutes, not a whole mission. A small UPS behind the PS5 lets you finish a fight and save properly.

Call of Duty Vanguard gives every weapon its own trigger feel through the DualSense adaptive triggers. A 1911 pistol pulls with moderate tension, while the M1 Garand feels heavier, and attachments change trigger force and aim speed. Haptic feedback pulses through your hands when enemy rounds hit nearby cover or debris falls. Luftwaffe bombing in Stalingrad lands as heavy thuds. These effects work in both campaign and multiplayer, and you can switch them off in settings.

Zombies in Call of Duty Vanguard opens the Dark Aether story, created by Treyarch with Sledgehammer Games. The launch map, Der Anfang, is set in Morasko, Poland, in March 1944, matching the game's wartime setting. You earn Essence and Salvage, buy upgrades at the Altar of Covenants and use Pack-a-Punch and perks. Later free updates added Terra Maledicta, Shi no Numa and The Archon, with Shi no Numa bringing back a classic round-based design.

No, the Call of Duty Vanguard disc needs a PS5 with a disc drive to install. It works on the standard PS5, the PS5 Slim with disc drive, and any PS5 Slim Digital or PS5 Pro fitted with Sony's detachable disc drive. A PS5 Digital Edition without a drive cannot read the disc at all. If you are unsure which console you own, send a photo of it to Mascom International on WhatsApp before ordering.

Buy Call of Duty Vanguard if you love Second World War history, want a story told across several real battles, or miss older wartime Call of Duty games. Skip it if you prefer modern weapons, night-vision raids and present-day settings. Call of Duty Modern Warfare III suits that player better. Fans who want the newest round-based Zombies maps should look at Call of Duty Black Ops 6 instead. Mascom International stocks both, so ask our staff to compare.
