Returnal is in stock at Mascom International for KSh 5,400, brand new and sealed, as the standard edition on a PS5 physical disc. Developed by Housemarque and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment under PlayStation Studios, it first launched on April 30, 2021. Returnal is a third-person roguelike shooter carrying an ESRB Teen rating on the cover. You play Selene, a space scout stranded on the alien world of Atropos. Each time she dies, the loop drags her back to her crash site and the land around her changes shape. Collect your copy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for PS5 owners who have finished the big story releases and want something that tests their reflexes, Returnal rewards patience more than grinding. Many action games feel easy after the first weekend, then sit on the shelf. Returnal solves that problem by rebuilding its world after every failure, so no two attempts play out the same way. University students at Strathmore, USIU and Kenyatta University can fit a run between lectures and still feel progress. Working adults who prefer one tense hour after dinner to a sprawling open world will find the pacing suits them well.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell games loose or rewrapped, Mascom International keeps Returnal in its original factory seal until it reaches you. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us they value checking the wrap before paying, and our pay-on-arrival delivery allows exactly that. Returnal also costs less than many newer PS5 releases while offering a free co-op update and an endless tower mode. Walk into our store to see the copy in person, or order online and inspect Returnal at your door.
Common Questions About the Returnal
How much is the Returnal PS5 physical disc in Kenya?
Returnal costs KSh 5,400 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, sold brand new and sealed in the standard edition. That price covers the disc in its retail case, the 6-month Mascom disc warranty, and pay-on-arrival delivery to any county. You inspect the seal before any money changes hands. Nothing else needs buying to play the full campaign, and the later Ascension content, which adds co-op and the Tower of Sisyphus, arrives as a free update.
Will Returnal work on my PlayStation 5 Slim, Pro or Digital Edition?
Returnal plays on any PS5 with a disc drive, including the original disc model and the PlayStation 5 Slim disc version. The PlayStation 5 Slim Digital and PlayStation 5 Pro ship without a drive, so they need the detachable PS5 Disc Drive attached first. The original PlayStation 5 Digital Edition cannot take that drive at all. Returnal does not run on a PS4. If you are unsure which console you own, send Mascom International a photo on WhatsApp before ordering.
Is Returnal worth buying in Kenya, and what kind of game is it?
Returnal is worth buying at KSh 5,400 if you enjoy demanding action, because its loop keeps it fresh for months. Every death sends Selene back to her crash site, rooms and enemies reshuffle, and most weapons and items are lost. Some upgrades and story discoveries stay with you, so even a failed attempt moves you forward. Expect fast bullet-dodging combat viewed from behind the character. For a Kenyan buyer wanting long replay value from one disc, it delivers.
Returnal vs Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart, which should I buy?
Returnal suits players who want challenge, while Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart suits families and younger gamers. Returnal supports up to 2 players in online co-op, against 1 player only for Rift Apart. Returnal carries an ESRB Teen rating, against Everyone 10+ for the Insomniac Games title. Returnal arrived on April 30, 2021, and Rift Apart followed on June 11, 2021. Pick Returnal for tension and repeat runs; pick Rift Apart for a lighter, story-led adventure.
Can I play Returnal with a friend on the same console?
No, Returnal has no split-screen; co-op works online only, for up to 2 players on separate PS5 consoles. Each player needs an internet connection, an active PlayStation Plus membership, and Returnal patch 3.0 or later. The Tower of Sisyphus, the House sequences and Challenge Mode stay single-player, so co-op covers the main runs only. Pairing up with a friend across town makes the hardest bosses more manageable, since a fallen partner can be revived during the fight.
Do I need internet for Returnal, and what happens during a power cut?
Returnal installs from the disc and plays its single-player campaign without internet, though you need a connection for co-op and updates. A KPLC blackout in the middle of a run switches the console off, and that run is usually lost. Because a strong attempt can stretch past an hour, many Mascom International customers pair their PS5 with a UPS. A unit sized for the console gives you enough minutes to reach a safe point and power down cleanly.
Who should buy Returnal, and who should skip it?
Returnal is for teenagers and adults who enjoy hard action games and do not mind losing progress while they learn. Fans of fast shooters and players who finished Demon's Souls will feel at home. Skip it if you want a relaxed story you can finish in one steady pass, or if the player is under 13. In that case, Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart is the better fit, and our team can check whether it is in stock.
Is this Returnal disc region-locked, and which languages does it include?
This Returnal copy is the ESRB edition, and PS5 game discs carry no region lock, so it plays on consoles bought locally or abroad. Voice acting and on-screen text come in English, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish. Trophies and saves link to whichever PlayStation account is signed in, not to the disc. You can lend the disc to a friend, and their progress stays on their own account.
Should I choose the Returnal disc or the digital download?
Choose the Returnal disc if you want resale value and fewer large downloads. A physical copy installs most of its data from the disc instead of pulling the whole game over Safaricom Home Fibre or Zuku. You can later sell, trade or lend the disc, which a digital licence never allows. The trade-off is that the disc must sit in the drive whenever you play. Digital suits owners of the original PlayStation 5 Digital Edition, which has no drive.

Package Contents
Returnal arrives as the sealed game disc inside its retail PS5 case, with the original cover art and ESRB Teen label. No console, controller, cables or headset are included, since this purchase is the game alone. Check the factory wrap when the courier hands it over, before you pay. Keep the case closed and upright, especially in the humid air of Mombasa and the coast, so the disc stays clean between sessions.
Warranty
Mascom International covers the Returnal disc for 6 months against manufacturing defects, such as a disc that will not read or install on a working PS5. Claims are handled in person at our Nairobi CBD store at Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, where our team checks the disc with you.
