Spider-Man 2 | PS5 Physical Disc | Standard Edition | Action Adventure | ESRB Teen
Swing through Brooklyn and Queens as Peter Parker or Miles Morales while Venom and Kraven hunt both heroes across New York.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Spider-Man 2 is in stock at Mascom International on PS5 disc for KSh 6,300, brand new and sealed in its standard retail case. Insomniac Games developed Spider-Man 2 for PlayStation, built around the Marvel characters fans already know, and the game released in October 2023 with an ESRB Teen rating. You control two heroes, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and switch between them across Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens. Collect your copy of Spider-Man 2 at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Spider-Man 2 suits PS5 owners who want a long single-player story rather than another online shooter. University students at Kenyatta University and Strathmore fit it into evening sessions, while working adults play it in weekend blocks. Buying on the PlayStation Store means paying in US dollars with a card, and the full download is large. A disc solves both problems. You pay in shillings, the disc installs most of the game straight from the drive, and you can lend Spider-Man 2 to a friend or trade it later. Parents shopping for teenagers also get a clear age rating printed on the cover.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that mix open and pre-owned discs on one shelf, Mascom International sells this game sealed, with a written disc warranty and a real store address behind it. Spider-Man 2 sits beside Spider-Man Miles Morales on our shelf, so you can compare the two titles in person before you choose. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us they value seeing the seal and checking the edition before paying. Walk in Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or call and the disc reaches your door on pay-on-arrival terms.
Common Questions About the Spider-Man 2
How much is Spider-Man 2 for PS5 in Kenya?
Spider-Man 2 on PS5 physical disc costs KSh 6,300 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. That price covers the standard edition disc in its retail PS5 case, with no console or controller included. It also includes the 6-month Mascom disc warranty described below and pay-on-arrival delivery, so you check the seal before any money changes hands. Nairobi buyers receive the game the same day, and most other towns receive it within 1 business day.
Should you buy Spider-Man 2 or Spider-Man Miles Morales?
Spider-Man 2 is the bigger game, while Spider-Man Miles Morales is the cheaper entry point at Mascom International. Spider-Man 2 gives you two playable heroes against one, and three boroughs (Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens) against Manhattan alone. It costs KSh 6,300 against KSh 4,400, a gap of KSh 1,900. The Miles Morales edition also bundles Spider-Man Remastered, the 2018 story, so pick it if you have not played either earlier game. Pick Spider-Man 2 if you already finished them and want the next chapter.
Will the Spider-Man 2 disc work on a PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Pro?
Spider-Man 2 on disc plays on any PS5 that has a disc drive fitted. The original PS5 disc model and the PS5 Slim disc model read it straight away. The PS5 Slim Digital Edition and the PS5 Pro need the detachable PS5 Disc Drive first, while the original 2020 Digital Edition cannot take a drive at all. Spider-Man 2 is a PS5-only title, so it will not run on a PS4 at all. If you are unsure which console you own, send Mascom International a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm.
Do you need internet to play Spider-Man 2 in Kenya?
Spider-Man 2 is a single-player game, and PlayStation does not list an online connection as a requirement to play it. Connecting once after installing is still wise, because updates fix bugs and add features released since October 2023. A home connection on Safaricom Home Fibre or Zuku handles the update download comfortably overnight. The full install takes about 98GB of console storage, so clear at least 100GB before inserting the disc. Online features, such as cloud saves, need a free PlayStation account.
What happens to your Spider-Man 2 progress during a KPLC power cut?
Spider-Man 2 saves progress automatically at regular points, so a sudden power cut usually costs you only the time since the last save. The bigger risk is the console itself, because a PS5 that loses power mid-write can need a database rebuild on restart. A UPS gives you minutes to save and shut down properly when the lights go out. Mascom International stocks UPS units sized for a PS5 and TV, so ask about pairing one with Spider-Man 2.
Is Spider-Man 2 suitable for children and younger teenagers?
Spider-Man 2 carries an ESRB Teen rating, which means the content suits players aged 13 and older. The rating lists blood, drug references, mild language and violence, mostly in comic-book style fight scenes rather than graphic gore. Parents of younger children should watch a few missions first before deciding. The game includes 30 accessibility features across visuals, audio, subtitles, controls and gameplay. Those settings let you slow combat or simplify button presses, which helps newer or younger players finish the story.
What do you actually do in Spider-Man 2?
Spider-Man 2 puts you in control of Peter Parker and Miles Morales, and you can switch between them while exploring the city. The story pits both heroes against Venom, Kraven the Hunter and Dr. Curt Connors, also known as the Lizard. New Web Wings let you glide across rivers and use wind tunnels between buildings, which speeds up travel across three boroughs. Side activities reach Coney Island and other Brooklyn and Queens landmarks. Fast travel loads in seconds thanks to the PS5 solid state drive.
Who should buy Spider-Man 2, and who should skip it?
Spider-Man 2 is right for PS5 owners who enjoyed the earlier Insomniac Spider-Man games and want a story that continues both heroes. Skip it if you only own a PS4, because it will not run there. Skip it, too, if you own a drive-less PS5 and do not plan to buy the disc drive. Players new to the series on a tight budget get better value from Spider-Man Miles Morales at KSh 4,400, which includes two complete stories on PS5 at Mascom International.
Technical Specifications
Game Content and Story Scope
- Two playable heroes, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, so missions switch style and abilities between both characters.
- Villains include Venom, Kraven the Hunter and the Lizard, giving the story three distinct boss threats.
- The map covers Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens, so you explore three boroughs rather than one island.
- Web Wings and wind tunnels add gliding, which cuts travel time over rivers and open city blocks.
- Single-player only, so the whole story plays without needing a second controller or online partner.
- Coney Island and other outer-borough landmarks host side activities that add play time after the main story.
- Hero switching takes seconds in free roam, so you pick whichever character's powers suit the next activity.
Console Compatibility and Disc Requirements
- PS5 exclusive title, so this disc will not install or run on any PS4 console.
- Plays directly on the original PS5 disc model and the PS5 Slim disc model.
- PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro need the detachable Disc Drive; the 2020 Digital Edition cannot use discs.
- The disc must sit in the drive each time you play, which confirms ownership of the copy.
- A free PlayStation account handles updates and online features without any paid subscription for single-player play.
- Save files live on the console storage, so your progress stays even after you lend the disc out.
- Supported voice and on-screen text languages include English, French, Brazilian Portuguese and Mexican Spanish.
DualSense and Accessibility Features
- Haptic feedback lets you feel web swings, impacts and surfaces through the controller grips.
- Adaptive triggers add resistance to the trigger buttons, so web shooting and gadgets feel different from punches.
- Vibration and trigger effects work with the standard DualSense controller that ships with every PS5 console.
- Tempest 3D AudioTech places sounds around you through compatible headphones, helping you locate enemies by ear.
- Thirty accessibility features across five categories include control remapping and slower game speed for tough fights.
- Game Help support offers in-game hints on the PS5 home screen when a mission stalls your progress.
Graphics Modes and Storage
- Fidelity mode favours sharper image detail, while Performance mode targets a smoother 60 frames per second.
- Ray-traced reflections show glass towers and puddles reflecting the city around them in real time.
- PlayStation lists the game as upgraded for PS5 Pro, so Pro owners get extra visual improvements.
- The install needs about 98GB of free storage, roughly a tenth of a standard PS5 drive.
- The PS5 solid state drive cuts loading, so character switching and fast travel take only seconds.
- Most game data installs from the disc, so only patches come down over your home connection.
- Cloud streaming to PS5 and PlayStation Portal needs a PlayStation Plus Premium subscription, separate from this disc.
Disc and Edition Details
- Standard edition on a single PS5 Blu-ray disc, with no extra bonus content or upgrade codes inside.
- Developed by Insomniac Games and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment for PlayStation 5 consoles.
- Released in October 2023, so the current disc version runs with all later updates once patched.
- ESRB Teen rating printed on the cover, listing blood, drug reference, mild language and violence.
- Brand new and sealed in shrink wrap, so you are the first owner of this copy.
- The game also appears in the PlayStation Plus Extra catalogue, but this disc stays yours without any subscription.
- A physical copy can be lent, gifted or traded later, which a digital purchase does not allow.
