The disc carries a PEGI 18 rating for violence and strong language. Pick up Call of Duty Black Ops 6 at our store in Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Built for PS5 owners who want a shooter that rewards quick hands, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 changes how a firefight feels. Omnimovement lets you sprint, slide and dive in any direction, including backwards and sideways, so you break line of sight instead of standing still. University students sharing a hostel PS5 at Kenyatta University get a story campaign, competitive multiplayer and co-op Zombies on one disc. Working players with only two free evening hours get matches that load fast and wrap up in minutes, with no commitment to a long grind.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops hand over a disc with no after-sales backing, Mascom International supplies Call of Duty Black Ops 6 in factory shrink-wrap you can inspect before paying. Customers across Nairobi tell us the Zombies mode alone keeps their weekend sessions going long after the campaign ends. Unlike a digital purchase, the disc can be lent to a friend or resold once you finish. Call of Duty Black Ops 6 costs the same KSh 7,000 as Black Ops 7, so the questions below explain which one suits you.
Common Questions About the Call of Duty Black Ops 6
Is Call of Duty Black Ops 6 worth KSh 7,000 in Kenya?
Yes, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 gives you three complete modes for KSh 7,000: a story campaign, online multiplayer and round-based Zombies. Multiplayer launched with 16 maps, made up of 12 core 6v6 maps plus 4 Strike maps playable in 2v2 or 6v6. Zombies launched with two maps built for co-op squads. Play 4 evenings a week for three months and that is about 48 sessions, under KSh 150 each. A sealed disc from Mascom International also keeps resale value afterwards.
What is omnimovement in Call of Duty Black Ops 6?
Omnimovement is the movement system in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 that lets you sprint, slide and dive in any direction, not just forward. Earlier Call of Duty games tied sprinting to the direction you faced. Now you can sprint sideways along a wall, slide backwards out of a doorway, or dive sideways while still aiming. You can even land on your back and keep shooting. Skilled players chain these moves to dodge fire, so gunfights reward reactions more than first sight.
What is the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 campaign about?
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 is an early-1990s spy thriller set during the Gulf War, just after the Cold War ended. Frank Woods and his team are disowned and hunted by their own government, so they work outside the system to uncover a conspiracy. Missions swing between stealth infiltration, heists and full-scale firefights rather than one long battlefield. If you enjoyed the paranoid tone of earlier Black Ops stories, this campaign carries it into a new decade.
Does Call of Duty Black Ops 6 bring back round-based Zombies?
Yes, Call of Duty Black Ops 6 restores classic round-based Zombies, where each round sends a bigger, tougher wave until your squad falls. Two Zombies maps were available at launch, each with its own storyline, hidden objectives and wonder weapons. You earn points by killing the undead, then spend them on doors, wall weapons, perks and the Pack-a-Punch machine. Squads of four play together online. Fans who disliked open-map Zombies have their preferred format back here.
Call of Duty Black Ops 6 vs Black Ops 7, which should you buy at KSh 7,000?
Pick Call of Duty Black Ops 6 if you want the 1990s spy story and a Zombies mode with two years of added maps behind it. Pick Black Ops 7 if you want the newest seasonal content, its near-future setting and the longest support window ahead. Both cost KSh 7,000 at Mascom International, so the choice comes down to taste, not budget. Story and co-op Zombies fans often lean towards Black Ops 6, while competitive players chasing fresh maps usually prefer Black Ops 7.
Do you need PS Plus to play Call of Duty Black Ops 6 online in Kenya?
Yes, online multiplayer in Call of Duty Black Ops 6 requires an active PlayStation Plus subscription on your PS5 account. Online lobbies hold up to 40 players in the largest modes. Mascom International sells PS Plus memberships too, so you can buy the disc and subscription together and pay through M-Pesa. Without PS Plus you still own the disc, but online playlists stay locked until you subscribe. A wired Ethernet cable to your Safaricom Home Fibre or Zuku router keeps ping steadier than Wi-Fi.
How large is the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 download, and does the disc hold the full game?
The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 disc installs the base game, but expect a large update download before your first online match. Call of Duty updates often run to tens of gigabytes, so plan that first session on a home fibre line rather than mobile data bundles. Clear room on your PS5 SSD first, because several big shooters fill it quickly. If a KPLC power cut interrupts the download, the PS5 resumes from where it stopped once power returns.
Will the Call of Duty Black Ops 6 disc work on a PS5 Digital Edition?
Yes, but only when the console has a disc drive, either built in or attached. The Call of Duty Black Ops 6 disc plays on the standard PS5, and on the slim Digital Edition or PS5 Pro once fitted with Sony's detachable Disc Drive, sold separately. The original launch-model Digital Edition has no drive and cannot take one, so it cannot read this disc. Check your console for a disc slot, or send Mascom International a photo on WhatsApp.
Who should buy Call of Duty Black Ops 6, and who should skip it?
Buy Call of Duty Black Ops 6 if you are an adult PS5 owner who enjoys fast online shooters, co-op Zombies nights or a cinematic spy story. Skip it if you are buying for a child under 18, because the PEGI 18 rating reflects violence and strong language. A family household is better served by Nacon Cricket 26, which Mascom International also stocks for PS5. Skip it too if you cannot keep PS Plus active, since most of the long-term value sits online.
Technical Specifications
Release Details and Age Rating
- Title: Call of Duty Black Ops 6 standard edition for PS5, the exact retail version Mascom International stocks.
- Developers: Treyarch and Raven, the studios behind earlier Black Ops entries, so the series tone stays consistent.
- Publisher: Activision, which runs the servers, seasonal updates and online services that multiplayer depends on.
- Release: October 2024, which means two years of patches and balance fixes already sit in the current version.
- Age rating: PEGI 18 for violence, strong language and in-game purchases, so it suits adult players only.
- Genre: first-person shooter combining a story campaign, competitive multiplayer and co-op survival in one purchase.
Campaign Setting and Story
- Era: the early 1990s during the Gulf War, a period few Call of Duty campaigns had explored in depth.
- Premise: Frank Woods and his team are exiled and hunted by their own government, giving the plot a betrayal theme.
- Tone: a spy thriller built on infiltration and deception rather than a straight battlefield war story.
- Mission variety: stealth sections, heists and large firefights alternate, so the campaign rarely repeats the same rhythm.
- Play style: single-player throughout, so you finish the story at your own pace without depending on teammates.
Multiplayer Maps and Omnimovement
- Launch maps: 16 in total at release, giving plenty of variety before any seasonal additions arrived.
- Core maps: 12 designed for standard 6v6 matches, the format most competitive Call of Duty players prefer.
- Strike maps: 4 smaller arenas playable in 2v2 or 6v6, ideal for a quick session with one friend.
- Omnimovement: sprint, slide and dive in any direction, which rewards reaction speed and evasive play over camping.
- Player count: up to 40 players online in the largest modes, so bigger matches stay busy from start to finish.
Round-Based Zombies Content
- Format: classic round-based survival, with each round sending stronger undead waves until your squad finally falls.
- Launch content: two Zombies maps at release, each with its own storyline and hidden objectives to uncover.
- Economy: points earned from kills buy doors, weapons and perks, so every round involves real spending decisions.
- Squad size: up to four players cooperate online, which suits friends who prefer teamwork over head-to-head competition.
- Upgrades: the Pack-a-Punch machine strengthens your weapons, giving long sessions a clear sense of progress.
PS5 Features and DualSense Feedback
- Controller effects: DualSense vibration and adaptive trigger effects give different weapons their own resistance and feel.
- Display output: high-resolution output on 4K televisions and higher frame rates on 120Hz-capable screens with a matching cable.
- Load times: the PS5 SSD keeps menus and match loading short, so you spend more of each evening playing.
- Platform: this disc is the native PS5 version, built for the newer console's hardware rather than PS4 limits.
- Physical copy: the disc can be resold or lent, unlike a digital licence locked to one PlayStation account.
Storage, Online Access and Languages
- Installation: the disc installs the base game, then the console downloads updates before full online play is available.
- Free space: keep plenty of SSD space free, because Call of Duty updates arrive often and run large.
- Online play: PlayStation Plus is required for online multiplayer, so budget for the subscription alongside the disc.
- Languages: voice and on-screen text in English, French, German, Italian, Polish, Russian and Spanish.
- Connection: a wired Ethernet link keeps latency steadier than Wi-Fi during fast matches with dozens of players.
