Attend a school of witchcraft and wizardry, cast spells through DualSense triggers, and fly a hippogriff, sealed and ready for your console.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 disc is available at Mascom International for KSh 4,300, brand new and sealed in its original retail case. Hogwarts Legacy is the single-player open-world action RPG developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros., set inside the wizarding world of the Harry Potter books. This Standard Edition disc outputs 4K HDR on a compatible TV, uses DualSense adaptive triggers for spellcasting, and loads quickly from the PS5 SSD. Pick up Hogwarts Legacy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Built for PS5 owners across Kenya who grew up on the books and films, Hogwarts Legacy lets you create your own student, join a house, learn spells and brew potions. University students with a free weekend and parents shopping for a teenager over the school holidays make up many of the buyers we serve. Buying from the PlayStation Store means paying in dollars by card, which stops many households. The Hogwarts Legacy disc removes that step: you pay in shillings, by M-Pesa or cash, and the game sits on your shelf to replay, lend or resell.
Unlike many Nairobi game stalls that mix pre-owned and resealed discs on one shelf, Mascom International sells this Hogwarts Legacy copy factory sealed, with a written disc warranty and a fixed shop address on Kimathi Street. Customers across Nairobi tell us that clear pricing and the chance to inspect the seal before paying are why they return for their next PS5 title. Walk in Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, or WhatsApp +254 708 852 521 for same-day delivery within Nairobi and next-day delivery to Mombasa, Kisumu, Nakuru and Eldoret.
Common Questions About the Hogwarts Legacy
What is the Hogwarts Legacy PS5 disc price in Kenya?
Hogwarts Legacy on PS5 disc costs KSh 4,300 at Mascom International in Nairobi, brand new and factory sealed. That price covers the Standard Edition disc in its original PS5 case and the 6-month Mascom warranty on disc defects. Nairobi orders arrive the same day, and you pay on arrival after checking the seal. You can settle by M-Pesa, cash or card at our Kimathi Street counter, so no dollar card is needed, which is the usual hurdle when buying Hogwarts Legacy online.
Is the Hogwarts Legacy disc a better buy than the digital version in Kenya?
For most Kenyan players, the Hogwarts Legacy disc is the better buy because you own a copy you can lend, swap or resell later. A digital licence stays locked to one PlayStation Network account for good. The PS5 still installs the game to its SSD and pulls updates, so the disc does not remove every download. On Safaricom Home Fibre or Zuku the patch finishes quickly, while on a mobile bundle you should plan ahead. The one trade-off is that the disc must sit in the drive whenever you play.
Should I buy Hogwarts Legacy for PS5 or the PS4 version?
Buy the PS5 version of Hogwarts Legacy if you own a PS5, because the PS4 copy misses the newer console's hardware. The PlayStation Store lists the PS5 Standard Edition at $69.99 against $59.99 for PS4, a $10 gap that pays for the upgrade. On PS5 you get 4K HDR output, Tempest 3D Audio, haptic feedback during hippogriff flight and adaptive-trigger spellcasting. The PS4 version suits only a household still running a PS4, since a PS5 disc will not load on that older console.
Does the Hogwarts Legacy disc work on a PS5 Digital Edition?
Hogwarts Legacy on disc needs a PS5 that can read discs. The standard PS5 and the disc-version PS5 Slim read it straight away, and so do a PS5 Slim Digital Edition or PS5 Pro fitted with the detachable Disc Drive. The original launch PS5 Digital Edition cannot take that drive, so its owners should buy the digital licence instead. The disc will not run on a PS4 either. If you are unsure which console sits under your TV, send us a photo on WhatsApp and we will confirm.
Can I play Hogwarts Legacy offline when my internet goes down?
Yes, PlayStation lists Hogwarts Legacy with offline play enabled, so the full single-player campaign runs without a connection once installed and updated. That matters in Kenya, where a fibre outage or an expired data bundle can cut the internet for hours. You only need a connection for game updates, trophy syncing and optional features tied to your PlayStation Network account. During a power cut, a UPS rated for your PS5 and TV gives you time to reach a save point and shut down cleanly.
Is Hogwarts Legacy suitable for children?
Hogwarts Legacy carries an ESRB Teen rating on its North American release, with descriptors for blood, fantasy violence, mild language and alcohol use. Combat means duelling dark wizards, goblins and creatures with spells, and an optional Dark Arts path lets you learn the Unforgivable Curses. Parents usually buy it for teenagers rather than younger children. Boxes printed for other regions carry their own age label, so check the back of the case, and use the PS5 parental controls to set playtime limits.
How does Hogwarts Legacy use the DualSense controller?
Hogwarts Legacy uses the DualSense controller's adaptive triggers for spellcasting and its haptic feedback during hippogriff flight, according to the official PlayStation listing. You feel resistance in the triggers as spells go out, and the vibration motors pass the rhythm of flight through your palms. Tempest 3D Audio places sounds around you through stereo headphones or TV speakers once set up. The settings menu also lets you switch between Fidelity and Performance graphics modes, trading image detail for smoother motion to suit your TV.
Who should buy Hogwarts Legacy, and who should skip it?
Hogwarts Legacy suits PS5 owners who enjoy long single-player adventures: exploring a castle, solving puzzles, collecting gear and following a story at their own pace. Fans of the books and films get the most from it. Skip it if you mainly play with friends, because it is a 1-player game with no online co-op or versus mode. Groups who gather for weekend matches are better served by a football or racing disc with local multiplayer, so ask Mascom International on WhatsApp which of those PS5 titles are in stock.
How do I know the Hogwarts Legacy disc is brand new and genuine?
Every Hogwarts Legacy disc from Mascom International arrives factory sealed in its original PS5 retail case, never opened or resealed. Look for intact factory shrink-wrap, sharp cover printing and the PS5 banner across the top of the case. Because delivery is pay-on-arrival, you inspect the seal before handing over money, and walk-in buyers on Kimathi Street can check it at the counter. If the disc fails to read because of a manufacturing defect, the Warranty section below explains how our Nairobi CBD desk handles the claim.
Technical Specifications
Game Content and Story Design
- Title: Hogwarts Legacy Standard Edition for PS5, the base game supplied on a physical disc in retail packaging.
- Genre: open-world action RPG, so you roam freely between the castle, nearby villages and the surrounding wilderness.
- Developer and publisher: Avalanche Software built the game and Warner Bros. published it, with release on February 10, 2023.
- Players: single player only, which suits solo evening sessions rather than group nights sharing one TV screen.
- Character creation lets you design your own student and join a house, so each playthrough starts from your choices.
- Activities include spell duels, potion brewing, plant growing, broom flight and hippogriff riding, giving variety beyond combat.
PS5 Hardware Support
- Resolution: 4K HDR output on a compatible TV, giving sharper castle detail and brighter spell effects than HD screens show.
- Graphics modes: Fidelity and Performance options let you favour image detail or smoother motion depending on your display.
- Adaptive triggers: the DualSense triggers respond during spellcasting, so each cast carries physical resistance instead of a flat press.
- Haptic feedback: controller vibration follows hippogriff flight, letting you feel movement through your hands while gliding over the landscape.
- Tempest 3D Audio: positional sound through stereo headphones or TV speakers helps you locate enemies and creatures by ear.
- PS5 Pro support: PlayStation badges the game for the Pro console, so PS5 Pro owners get extra visual tuning there.
- SSD loading: the PS5 solid-state drive shortens waits when moving between areas or loading a saved game.
Compatibility and Installation
- Runs on the standard PS5, the disc-version PS5 Slim, and a Slim Digital or Pro fitted with the Disc Drive.
- The original launch PS5 Digital Edition cannot read this disc, so owners of that console need the digital licence instead.
- PS4 consoles cannot run PS5 discs, so a household with both machines should keep this copy for the PS5.
- Installation copies game data to the console SSD, so clear some storage space before inserting the disc for the first time.
- The disc stays in the drive during play and acts as your licence each time you launch the game.
- Updates download over Wi-Fi or Ethernet after install, and the campaign then plays fully offline whenever you choose.
Age Rating, Languages and Online Requirements
- ESRB rating: Teen on the North American release, listing blood, fantasy violence, mild language and alcohol use as descriptors.
- Regional packaging may carry a different age label, so read the back of the case before buying for a child.
- Offline play is enabled, letting you continue the story during internet outages without losing access to the main game.
- Online features need a PlayStation Network account, used for trophies, game updates and optional add-on purchases from the store.
- In-game purchases are optional, so the complete story is playable without spending anything beyond the disc price.
- Remote Play is supported, so you can stream the game from your PS5 to another screen within your home network.
- English voice acting and on-screen text are available, with further language options depending on the region printed on the case.
Edition and Disc Format
- Edition: Standard, containing the base game, while the Deluxe Edition's Dark Arts Pack and Garrison Hat are not included.
- PlayStation Store lists the Haunted Hogsmeade Shop Quest with the PS5 Standard Edition, a side mission exclusive to PlayStation.
- Format: PS5 game disc in a standard PS5 retail case, factory sealed, so you become the first owner of this copy.
- Region: PS5 games are not region locked for play, so this disc runs on consoles bought in Kenya, Dubai or the UK.
- Resale value: a sealed physical copy can be resold or traded later, unlike a digital licence tied to one account.
- Care: keep the disc in its case and away from direct sunlight, since scratches and heat cause most read errors.
