Mascom International stocks the iMac M4 with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory and a 512GB SSD at KSh 295,000, brand new and sealed. Apple builds the iMac M4 around a 24-inch 4.5K Retina screen with a 12MP camera, six speakers and three microphones in the same thin frame. This configuration doubles the internal drive of the 256GB models, so large files can live on the machine instead of a pile of flash disks. The iMac M4 is ready to view at our showroom in the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for content creators, architects, journalists and university lecturers across Kenya, the iMac M4 512GB keeps raw footage, drawings and research folders on hand without constant clean-ups. A common frustration on smaller drives is the "storage almost full" warning in the middle of a deadline. With 512GB, a YouTube creator in Kilimani can keep a month of projects on the iMac M4 while still exporting the next video. The Touch ID keyboard, Gigabit Ethernet and four Thunderbolt 4 ports come standard on this model, and those ports drive two extra monitors for editing timelines.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops push buyers toward the cheapest configuration, Mascom International explains which storage size fits your actual work before you pay. Customers across Nairobi tell us the 512GB iMac M4 is the version they stop outgrowing. At Mascom International, we're seeing creators and small studios pick this model because it saves the cost of an external drive in year one. Every unit carries a 12-month Apple warranty handled through our service desk. Come to our Kimathi Street store to try it, or order on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the iMac M4
How much is the iMac M4 10-core 16GB 512GB in Kenya?
The iMac M4 10-core 16GB 512GB is KSh 295,000 brand new and sealed at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi. The price covers the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, the Magic Mouse, the 143W adapter with Ethernet, and a 12-month Apple warranty handled through Mascom International. Delivery anywhere in Kenya is pay-on-arrival. You pay KSh 25,000 more than the 256GB version at KSh 270,000 for double the storage, and KSh 55,000 less than the 24GB 512GB model at KSh 350,000.
Should I choose the iMac M4 16GB 512GB or the 24GB 512GB model?
Both iMac M4 models carry 512GB of storage, a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU; the 24GB version adds 8GB of memory for KSh 55,000 more. Extra memory matters when you run heavy apps together, such as Final Cut Pro with Photoshop, or virtual machines for software testing. For document work, design layouts and 1080p or short 4K edits, 16GB handles the load. Pick 24GB if you edit long 4K timelines or code with several tools open at once.
How does the iMac M4 cope with dust, heat and coastal humidity in Kenya?
Apple rates the iMac M4 for rooms between 10°C and 35°C with 5-90% non-condensing humidity, which covers most offices in Nairobi, Kisumu and Mombasa. In dusty areas near busy roads, wipe the vents and screen weekly with a dry microfibre cloth. Along the coast, an air-conditioned or well-ventilated room keeps moisture from condensing on the electronics. Keep it out of direct afternoon sun near windows, since the aluminium body warms up quickly in Kenyan heat.
Who should buy the iMac M4 16GB 512GB, and who should skip it?
Buy the iMac M4 16GB 512GB if you keep photo shoots, video projects or large research files on your computer and want room to grow. Creators, architects and lecturers fit this model best. Skip it if your files already live in Google Drive or OneDrive, because the 256GB version at KSh 270,000 offers the same chip and ports. Developers running virtual machines or long 4K edits are better served by the 24GB model at KSh 350,000.
How many photos and videos fit on the iMac M4 512GB drive?
After macOS and your apps, the iMac M4 512GB leaves room for roughly 130,000 phone photos at about 3MB each. In video terms, that is around 20 hours of 4K footage at roughly 350MB a minute, or more than 50 hours of 1080p. Photographers covering weddings in Nakuru or Naivasha can keep several full shoots on the drive at once. When a project ends, move it to an external SSD through a Thunderbolt 4 port.
Can I edit 4K YouTube and TikTok videos on the iMac M4?
Yes, the iMac M4 10-core edits 4K video in Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, CapCut and Adobe Premiere Pro. Its Media Engine handles H.264, HEVC and ProRes in hardware, so playback stays smooth while you trim clips. The 4.5K screen shows a 4K frame with room left for the timeline. Kenyan creators filming on iPhones or mirrorless cameras will find 512GB holds several active projects. For long multi-camera edits, consider the 24GB model.
Can I pay for the iMac M4 using M-Pesa at Mascom International?
Yes, you can pay for the iMac M4 by M-Pesa at Mascom International, either in our Nairobi CBD store or on delivery. Pay-on-arrival means you inspect the sealed box first, then complete payment when the iMac M4 reaches you. Does the iMac M4 work with my iPhone and iPad?
The iMac M4 links closely with an iPhone or iPad signed in to the same Apple Account. AirDrop moves photos and videos from your phone to the iMac M4 in seconds without a cable. You can answer phone calls and send iMessages from the desk, and copy text on the iPhone to paste on the iMac. iPhone Mirroring shows your phone screen on the Mac, so you can check WhatsApp or M-Pesa messages without picking up the handset.
