The iMac M4 with a 10-core CPU, 10-core GPU, 16GB of unified memory and a 256GB SSD is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 270,000. Every unit is brand new and sealed. Designed by Apple, the iMac M4 joins a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display, a 12MP camera and a six-speaker sound system in one slim aluminium frame. This version adds Touch ID on the keyboard, four Thunderbolt 4 ports and Gigabit Ethernet. Come and see the iMac M4 in person at our showroom in the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for accountants, graphic designers, estate agents and sales teams, the iMac M4 10-core handles client presentations, Canva and Lightroom edits, and long Excel workbooks in one sitting. Busy offices often share one computer between several people, and passwords end up on sticky notes. Touch ID solves that: each staff member unlocks their own account with a fingerprint. The four Thunderbolt 4 ports also mean a printer, a backup drive and a second screen can stay plugged in. Offices in Westlands and Upper Hill can wire the iMac M4 straight into the network for steady video calls.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that ship Macs without local support, Mascom International gives you a sealed iMac M4 with a 12-month Apple warranty handled through our Nairobi service desk. Buyers throughout Kenya report that the fingerprint keyboard and the extra ports are why they chose the 10-core model over the entry version. At Mascom International, we're seeing design studios and accounting firms buy this configuration in pairs. Walk into our Kimathi Street store for a demonstration, or order on WhatsApp and pay when the iMac M4 reaches your door.
Common Questions About the iMac M4
How much is the iMac M4 10-core 16GB 256GB in Kenya?
The iMac M4 10-core 16GB 256GB sells for KSh 270,000 brand new and sealed at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. That includes the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, the Magic Mouse, the 143W power adapter with built-in Ethernet port, and a 12-month Apple warranty handled through Mascom International. Delivery is pay-on-arrival across Kenya. It sits KSh 25,000 above the 8-core model at KSh 245,000 and KSh 25,000 below the 512GB version at KSh 295,000.
Should I buy the iMac M4 or the Mac mini M4 for my office?
The Mac mini M4 with 16GB and 256GB costs KSh 119,000 at Mascom International, KSh 151,000 less than the iMac M4 10-core. The Mac mini comes as the computer alone, so you still buy a monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers and a webcam. The iMac M4 brings a 4.5K screen, a 12MP camera, six speakers and Touch ID in one box. Choose the Mac mini if you already own a good monitor. Choose the iMac M4 for a complete, tidy desk.
Does the iMac M4 work well with Safaricom Home Fibre and other Kenyan internet?
Yes, the iMac M4 10-core connects to Safaricom Home Fibre, Zuku or any office router through the Gigabit Ethernet port on its power adapter. A wired link avoids the dropped Zoom calls that crowded Wi-Fi often causes in apartment blocks. For wireless use, Wi-Fi 6E works with newer routers on the 6GHz band, and Bluetooth 5.3 pairs headsets. You can also share a Safaricom or Airtel phone hotspot when the fibre line goes down.
Who should buy the iMac M4 10-core 256GB, and who should skip it?
Buy the iMac M4 10-core 256GB if you want Touch ID, Ethernet and two external screens but keep most files in the cloud. Shared offices, accountants and sales teams fit it well. Skip it if you store large photo or video libraries on the computer itself, since 256GB fills quickly. Those buyers should move to the 512GB version at KSh 295,000. If you only browse and write documents, the 8-core model at KSh 245,000 saves money.
How does Touch ID on the iMac M4 keyboard help a shared office?
Touch ID lets each person on a shared iMac M4 unlock their own account with a fingerprint instead of a typed password. The sensor sits on the Magic Keyboard included with the 10-core model. It also approves app installs, password autofill and Apple Pay purchases online. For receptionists and front-desk teams, switching users takes a touch, and nobody needs to write passwords down. Each user can register their own fingers, so records stay private between staff.
Can the iMac M4 10-core run two extra monitors for trading or accounting?
Yes, the iMac M4 10-core drives two external displays at up to 6K and 60Hz, plus its own 24-inch screen, for three screens in total. It can instead run a single 8K display at 60Hz. Forex traders, accountants and logistics coordinators use the extra space for charts, ledgers and tracking dashboards side by side. Connect each monitor through a Thunderbolt 4 port. Mascom International stocks monitors and cables, so you can set up the whole desk in one visit.
Is the iMac M4 good for graphic design work in Kenya?
The iMac M4 10-core is a strong fit for graphic designers working in Canva, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom. Its display shows P3 wide colour and 1 billion colours, so brand colours and photos look close to print. The 10-core GPU speeds up filters and exports. Designers producing posters for Nairobi clients or social media content for Kenyan brands will find 16GB comfortable for layouts. Keep large archives on an external SSD, since 256GB fills with raw photo files.
Is the extra KSh 25,000 for the iMac M4 10-core worth it over the 8-core?
For offices and creative users, the extra KSh 25,000 on the iMac M4 10-core is usually worth it. You get two more CPU cores, two more GPU cores, Touch ID, built-in Gigabit Ethernet, and four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of two. Adding Ethernet and a Touch ID keyboard to the 8-core model later would cost part of that gap anyway. If your use stays at browsing, email and video calls, the 8-core model at KSh 245,000 does the job.
Technical Specifications
Processor and Chip Design
- Apple M4 chip with a 10-core CPU — four performance cores and six efficiency cores sharing the workload.
- The six efficiency cores take background jobs such as cloud sync and backups, leaving the performance cores free for your main task.
- 16-core Neural Engine — dedicated circuits for on-device AI such as live captions, dictation and object search in photos.
- Media Engine decodes and encodes H.264, HEVC and ProRes, and decodes AV1, so video playback stays smooth and quiet.
- macOS runs natively on the M4, so apps from the Mac App Store and Microsoft Office install and run directly.
Memory
- 16GB unified memory shared between the CPU and GPU, which removes the delay of copying data between them.
- 120GB/s memory bandwidth keeps design files, browser tabs and spreadsheets moving quickly through the chip.
- Comfortable with Photoshop, Teams, Outlook and twenty or more Chrome tabs open at the same moment.
- Memory cannot be upgraded after purchase, so 16GB is the figure this iMac M4 keeps for its whole working life.
- Users who run virtual machines or large video timelines should consider the 24GB iMac M4 at KSh 350,000.
Storage
- 256GB solid-state drive — flash storage that boots macOS in seconds and opens large files quickly.
- Holds roughly 60,000 photos at about 3MB each, or around 7 hours of 4K video at roughly 350MB a minute.
- Best paired with cloud storage such as iCloud, OneDrive or Google Drive so working files sync across devices.
- Four Thunderbolt 4 ports give plenty of room to keep a backup drive and a project drive connected at once.
- Time Machine backs up the internal drive to an external disk automatically, protecting client files from accidental loss.
Graphics and Display
- 10-core GPU inside the M4 chip — two more graphics cores than the 8-core model for faster rendering and exports.
- Hardware ray tracing renders realistic light and shadow in supported 3D apps and games.
- 24-inch 4.5K Retina panel, 4480 by 2520 pixels at 218 pixels per inch, sharp enough to read small fonts comfortably.
- 500 nits brightness, P3 wide colour and True Tone, which shifts screen warmth to suit office lighting.
- Drives two external displays at 6K and 60Hz, or one 8K display at 60Hz, alongside the built-in screen.
Connectivity and Ports
- Four Thunderbolt 4 ports — USB-C shaped connections for monitors, drives, docks and fast data transfer.
- Gigabit Ethernet built into the power adapter, giving a stable wired link to fibre routers and office switches.
- Wi-Fi 6E for faster, less congested wireless on routers that support the 6GHz band.
- Bluetooth 5.3 connects AirPods, headsets, printers and wireless speakers without extra adapters.
- 3.5mm headphone jack for wired headsets and studio headphones, handy for private calls in open offices.
Build and Form Factor
- One-piece aluminium body that holds the computer behind the screen, needing just one cable to the wall.
- Measures 54.7cm wide and 46.1cm tall, and weighs 4.44kg, easy for one person to lift onto a desk.
- 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View, which can show the surface of your desk to people on a video call.
- Six speakers with force-cancelling woofers and Spatial Audio support, plus three studio-quality microphones for clear calls.
- Works in rooms between 10°C and 35°C with 5-90% non-condensing humidity, so avoid placing it in direct sun.
