iMac M4 | Apple M4 10-Core CPU 10-Core GPU | 24GB Unified Memory | 512GB SSD | 24-inch 4.5K Retina
Comfort for architects, animators and software testers running demanding apps side by side.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
The iMac M4 with 24GB of unified memory, a 512GB SSD, a 10-core CPU and a 10-core GPU is available at Mascom International for KSh 350,000. Each unit is brand new and sealed in its original box. Made by Apple, the iMac M4 combines a 24-inch 4.5K Retina display, a 12MP Center Stage camera, six speakers and a Touch ID keyboard in a single aluminium design. This configuration carries 8GB more memory than the 16GB models, giving heavy software extra room to work. See it running at the Old Mutual Building on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for architects, software developers, data analysts and video producers, the iMac M4 24GB handles AutoCAD drawings, Xcode builds, Power BI dashboards and long 4K timelines without the stutter that 16GB can show under strain. When memory runs short, a Mac pushes data onto the drive and everything slows. With 24GB, a developer in Westlands can run Docker, VS Code, a simulator and Slack together. An architecture student at the University of Nairobi or JKUAT can keep a 3D model, reference PDFs and a render queue open on the iMac M4 at once.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that only stock base models, Mascom International holds the iMac M4 24GB in sealed stock, so you skip the weeks of waiting for a special order from abroad. Buyers throughout Kenya report that the extra memory is what keeps the machine feeling quick in its third and fourth year. At Mascom International, we're seeing construction consultancies and production houses choose this version for their senior staff. It comes with a 12-month Apple warranty handled through our service desk. Visit Kimathi Street or order on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the iMac M4
How much is the iMac M4 24GB 512GB in Kenya?
The iMac M4 24GB 512GB costs KSh 350,000, brand new and sealed, at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. This price includes the Magic Keyboard with Touch ID, the Magic Mouse, the 143W power adapter with Gigabit Ethernet, and a 12-month Apple warranty handled through Mascom International. Delivery to any county is pay-on-arrival, so you check the box before paying. The same chip and storage with 16GB costs KSh 295,000, a gap of KSh 55,000 for the extra 8GB of memory.
What do I get for the extra KSh 105,000 over the iMac M4 8-core?
The iMac M4 24GB 512GB costs KSh 105,000 more than the 8-core 16GB 256GB model at KSh 245,000. For that gap you get 8GB more memory, double the storage, two more CPU cores and two more GPU cores. You also gain Touch ID, Gigabit Ethernet, four Thunderbolt 4 ports instead of two, and support for two external screens. Pick the 8-core model for office and school work. Pick the 24GB model for development, 3D design or long video projects.
Can the iMac M4 24GB run AutoCAD, Revit or SketchUp for architecture work?
The iMac M4 runs AutoCAD for Mac, SketchUp, Rhino, Vectorworks and ArchiCAD natively on macOS. Revit is Windows-only, so architects who rely on it need a Windows virtual machine or a separate PC, and the 24GB of memory gives a virtual machine more room. The 4.5K Retina display shows fine line work clearly at 218 pixels per inch. Firms in Upper Hill and students at JKUAT and Moi University often confirm their exact software list with us on WhatsApp before buying.
Is the iMac M4 24GB good for software development in Kenya?
Yes, the iMac M4 24GB suits developers building mobile apps, web platforms and fintech tools for the Kenyan market. Xcode, Android Studio, VS Code and Docker all run on Apple silicon, and 24GB keeps an emulator, a database container and several browser tabs open together. Teams testing M-Pesa Daraja API integrations or USSD flows can run local servers alongside their code. The Gigabit Ethernet port keeps large Git pulls and package downloads quick on a fibre line.
Who should buy the iMac M4 24GB 512GB, and who should skip it?
Buy the iMac M4 24GB if your work runs several heavy apps at once: development tools, 3D models, data dashboards or long 4K edits. Senior designers, engineers and producers get the most from it. Skip it if you mainly write documents, browse and join video calls, because the 8-core model at KSh 245,000 does that well. Creators who need storage more than memory are better served by the 16GB 512GB version at KSh 295,000.
How long will the iMac M4 24GB stay useful before I need to replace it?
Apple sets the memory on the iMac M4 at purchase, so buying 24GB now is the only way to have more later. More memory gives macOS updates and future versions of apps extra room as they grow heavier over time. Apple has not published a fixed support period, so we cannot promise a set number of years. Customers across Nairobi tell us they choose 24GB so the machine keeps pace with their software instead of being replaced early.
Can the iMac M4 run on a solar or inverter setup during KPLC outages?
The iMac M4 accepts 100-240V at 50-60Hz through its 143W adapter, so it works with a pure sine wave inverter, a solar backup system or a UPS. Use a pure sine wave unit rather than a modified one, which can stress sensitive power adapters. Homes and offices in Karen, Ruiru and Kitengela that face frequent KPLC cuts often run their desk on a battery backup. Mascom International stocks UPS units and can advise on capacity for an all-in-one desk.
Can I use the iMac M4 24GB for gaming after work?
The iMac M4 24GB plays Mac games from Steam and the Mac App Store, including titles built for Apple silicon. The 10-core GPU supports hardware ray tracing for more realistic lighting in games that use it. Bluetooth 5.3 pairs a PlayStation or Xbox controller, which Mascom International also stocks. Many popular PC titles are Windows-only and will not run on macOS, so a PlayStation 5 or a Windows gaming laptop remains the better choice for a serious gamer.
Technical Specifications
Processor and Chip Design
- Apple M4 chip with a 10-core CPU — four performance cores for demanding tasks and six efficiency cores for background work.
- Performance cores speed up code compiling, 3D rendering and video exports, cutting the time spent waiting on long jobs.
- Efficiency cores manage file indexing, cloud sync and email in the background while drawing minimal power.
- 16-core Neural Engine accelerates on-device AI features such as dictation, live captions and object recognition in photos.
- Media Engine encodes and decodes H.264, HEVC and ProRes, and decodes AV1, freeing the CPU during video work.
Memory
- 24GB unified memory — 8GB more than the 16GB models, shared by the CPU and GPU in one pool.
- 120GB/s memory bandwidth feeds large datasets, 3D scenes and long video timelines to the chip without delays.
- Keeps an IDE, emulator, Docker containers, Slack and a browser full of documentation open together without slowing down.
- Leaves room for a Windows virtual machine through apps such as Parallels for software that runs only on Windows.
- Memory cannot be added later, so 24GB is chosen at purchase for buyers who plan to keep the machine for years.
Storage
- 512GB solid-state drive with no moving parts, so macOS boots quickly and large projects open in seconds.
- Holds roughly 130,000 photos at about 3MB each once macOS and apps take their share.
- Stores around 20 hours of 4K footage at roughly 350MB a minute for active editing projects.
- Leaves comfortable space for Xcode, Android Studio, Docker images and several software development kits at once.
- Thunderbolt 4 ports connect fast external SSDs for archives and Time Machine backups of every working file.
Graphics and Display
- 10-core GPU in the M4 chip handles 3D viewports, colour grading and video effects without a separate graphics card.
- Hardware ray tracing gives realistic light and reflections in supported 3D design tools and Apple silicon games.

- 500 nits brightness, P3 wide colour, 1 billion colours and True Tone for accurate colour across the screen.
- Drives two external displays at 6K and 60Hz, or a single 8K display at 60Hz, beside the built-in panel.
Connectivity and Ports
- Four Thunderbolt 4 ports — USB-C shaped sockets that carry displays, docks, drives and data at high speed.
- Gigabit Ethernet on the power adapter keeps large downloads, uploads and remote sessions steady on fibre.
- Wi-Fi 6E connects on the 6GHz band with compatible routers, reducing interference from neighbouring networks.
- Bluetooth 5.3 links wireless headphones, game controllers, drawing tablets and other accessories.
- 3.5mm headphone jack supports studio headphones for editing audio, voice-overs and video soundtracks.
Build and Form Factor
- Aluminium all-in-one body with the full computer behind the screen and a single cable to the wall socket.
- Measures 54.7cm wide and 46.1cm high, and weighs 4.44kg, sized for a standard office desk.
- 12MP Center Stage camera with Desk View records 1080p video for client calls and online design reviews.
- Six-speaker system with force-cancelling woofers and Dolby Atmos Spatial Audio, plus a three-mic beamforming array.
- Operates at 10°C to 35°C with 5-90% non-condensing humidity, suiting most Kenyan offices with steady airflow.
