Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Resident Evil 4 for PS5 is in stock at Mascom International as a brand new, sealed physical disc for KSh 4,300. This copy is the 2023 remake from Capcom, sold as the standard edition with the ESRB Mature rating printed on the cover. Resident Evil 4 retells the 2005 classic with new graphics, reworked combat and a story that digs deeper into its characters. The disc holds the full single-player campaign, ready to install on any PS5 with a working disc drive. Collect your copy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Built for adult PS5 owners who want a long, tense story they can play offline, Resident Evil 4 fits students and working professionals alike. University students at Kenyatta University and Strathmore often pick it as a reward after exams, because one copy lasts weeks of evenings. A digital purchase stays locked to one PlayStation account forever. A physical disc solves that problem: you can lend it to a friend, swap it for another game, or resell it once you finish. Players who missed the original in 2005 get the whole story in one package, with modern controls that feel natural on a DualSense controller.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell opened or uncertain-region copies, Mascom International stocks sealed Resident Evil 4 discs and tells you exactly which edition you are buying. Our team checks console compatibility with you before you pay, which matters now that some PS5 models ship without a disc drive. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us they value hearing that answer before the order rather than after delivery. Pay by M-Pesa or cash at the counter, or choose pay-on-arrival delivery to any county. Walk in, ask to see the case, and leave with Resident Evil 4 the same day.
Common Questions About the Resident Evil 4
How much is Resident Evil 4 for PS5 in Kenya?
Resident Evil 4 for PS5 costs KSh 4,300 at Mascom International in Nairobi, sold as a brand new, sealed physical disc. That price covers the 2023 remake in its standard edition, with the complete single-player campaign on the disc. It also carries a 6-month Mascom warranty on the disc against manufacturing defects. Nairobi buyers can get same-day delivery, and customers in every other county pay on arrival, so your money changes hands only once the sealed case is in your hands.
Is this Resident Evil 4 the 2023 remake or the 2005 original?
This Resident Evil 4 disc is the 2023 remake, built for PS5, not the 2005 original or a port of it. The core plot stays familiar: Leon S. Kennedy travels to a secluded European village to rescue Ashley Graham, the US president's kidnapped daughter. Nearly everything else changes. The camera sits over Leon's shoulder with modern controls, combat adds knife parries, and Ashley's sections play differently. Players who finished the original years ago still meet rewritten scenes and reworked boss fights throughout the campaign.
Will Resident Evil 4 work on a PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Pro?
Resident Evil 4 on disc plays on any PS5 that has a disc drive fitted. The original PS5 disc model and the PS5 Slim disc model read it straight away. The PS5 Slim Digital Edition and the PS5 Pro ship without a drive, but both accept the detachable Disc Drive from Sony. The original 2020 Digital Edition cannot take a drive at all, so it cannot play this disc. Unsure which console you own? Send a photo to our WhatsApp line before you order.
Resident Evil 4 vs Resident Evil Village, which should you buy first?
Both games cost KSh 4,300 at Mascom International, so the choice comes down to style and age. Resident Evil Village launched in May 2021 and plays in first person as Ethan Winters. Resident Evil 4 arrived in March 2023 and plays in third person, with the camera behind Leon S. Kennedy. Pick Resident Evil 4 if you prefer action-heavy combat and seeing your character on screen. Pick Village if slower, creepier first-person tension appeals more. Neither story requires you to play the other first.
Does Resident Evil 4 need internet, and how does it cope with power cuts in Kenya?
Resident Evil 4 needs no internet for its main campaign once the disc data is installed on your PS5. The game autosaves at regular points and also lets you save manually at typewriters placed around each area. During a KPLC outage, you lose only the progress made since your last save. Saving at every typewriter you pass keeps that loss small. A UPS from Mascom International keeps the console running long enough to save and shut down properly when the lights go out.
Is the ESRB-rated Resident Evil 4 disc region-locked?
No. PS5 games are not region-locked, so this ESRB-rated Resident Evil 4 disc plays on PS5 consoles bought in Kenya, Dubai, Europe or the US. The ESRB Mature label simply shows the copy was printed for the North American market, where the ESRB rates games instead of PEGI. English voices, menus and subtitles are included. Paid add-ons come from the PlayStation Store, so message us on WhatsApp before buying any, and we will check they suit your account and disc.
What extra content comes with Resident Evil 4, and what costs more?
The Resident Evil 4 standard edition gives you the full main campaign, which runs across 16 chapters. The Mercenaries, a timed score-attack mode, came as a free update, and a later free update added Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable characters. Both download quickly over Safaricom Home Fibre or Zuku. PlayStation VR2 owners can also download a free VR Mode. Separate Ways, the Ada Wong side story, is paid downloadable content. The Gold Edition bundles it, but this disc is the standard edition.
Who should buy Resident Evil 4, and who should skip it?
Resident Evil 4 suits adult PS5 owners who enjoy tense single-player action, light puzzles and careful resource management. Anyone who never played the 2005 original gets one of gaming's most praised stories told with modern controls. Skip it if you are buying for a child under 17, since the ESRB Mature rating reflects blood, gore, intense violence and strong language. Skip it too if you want online multiplayer, because the game is single-player only. Ask our staff for a family-rated PS5 game instead.
Technical Specifications
Game Content and Campaign Structure
- Title: Resident Evil 4, the 2023 remake of the 2005 survival horror game, rebuilt for current consoles.
- Edition: standard edition on disc, the base game without the paid Separate Ways story or Extra DLC Pack.
- Story: Leon S. Kennedy searches for Ashley Graham, the president's kidnapped daughter, through a cult-controlled European village.
- Campaign: 16 chapters across a village, a castle and an island, with puzzles, merchants and treasure to collect.
- Players: 1, offline single-player, so you progress at your own pace without needing friends online.
- Genre: survival horror, where scarce ammunition and careful inventory management matter as much as accurate aiming.
PS5 Graphics and DualSense Support
- Built on the RE Engine, which produces detailed lighting, lifelike faces and thick fog across the village areas.
- Graphics settings let you favour frame rate or resolution, depending on whether you value smooth aiming or sharper detail.
- Ray tracing toggle adds more realistic reflections, best paired with the resolution setting on a 4K television.
- HDR support makes torchlight and gunfire stand out against dark rooms on a compatible HDR television.
- DualSense haptic feedback lets you feel weapon recoil and impacts through the controller in your hands.
- Adaptive triggers add resistance when you fire, so each weapon type feels different under your finger.
Console Compatibility and Region
- Plays on the original PS5 disc model and the PS5 Slim disc model straight out of the box.
- PS5 Slim Digital Edition and PS5 Pro need the detachable Sony Disc Drive attached before the disc reads.
- The original 2020 PS5 Digital Edition cannot accept a disc drive, so it cannot play this copy.
- Not playable on PS4 consoles; PS4 owners need the separate PS4 release of the game instead.
- Region-free on PS5, so this North American ESRB copy runs on consoles bought in Kenya or abroad.
Disc, Installation and Updates
- Game data installs from the disc to the PS5 internal SSD before first play, then loads from there.
- Keep the disc in the drive to launch the game, since the console checks for it at startup.
- Free up SSD space before installing, because the game and its later updates take a sizeable share of storage.
- Updates download automatically when the console is online, adding fixes and the free modes released after launch.
- A sealed disc can be lent, traded or resold later, which a digital PlayStation Store purchase cannot.
Extra Modes and Downloadable Content
- The Mercenaries: timed score-attack mode where you defeat enemy hordes, added to the game through a free update.
- Mayhem Mode inside The Mercenaries gives a temporary stat boost that helps you push for higher scores.
- Free update on 21 September 2023 added Ada Wong and Albert Wesker as playable Mercenaries characters.
- VR Mode: free PlayStation VR2 download that requires the main game and the PS VR2 headset.
- Separate Ways: paid story expansion following Ada Wong, with a grappling gun for traversal and ranged melee attacks.
- Extra DLC Pack: paid costumes, weapons, a treasure map expansion and a soundtrack swap, sold separately from this edition.
Age Rating and Content Advisory
- ESRB Mature 17+ rating printed on the cover of this North American copy of the game.
- PEGI 18 is the matching rating on European copies, so both systems place it with adult players.
- Content descriptors cover blood and gore, intense violence and strong language throughout the campaign.
- PS5 parental controls can block Mature-rated games on a child's account using the age rating setting.
- Horror themes include body horror, cult imagery and sudden scares that some players find intense at night.
Package Contents
Resident Evil 4 arrives as a single game disc inside its retail PS5 case, factory-sealed in shrink-wrap. The cover carries the standard edition artwork and the ESRB Mature rating. No PS5 console, DualSense controller, cables or codes for paid add-ons come in the box, so you need your own PS5 with a working disc drive to play. Keep the case after opening: it protects the disc from dust and scratches between sessions and helps the copy hold its resale value.

Mascom International covers the Resident Evil 4 disc for 6 months against manufacturing defects. That protection applies to a disc that will not read, install or load because of a fault from the factory.
