Assassins Creed Valhalla PS5 | Physical Disc Edition | Ubisoft Action RPG | Viking Age England | 4K HDR at 60fps
Raid Saxon kingdoms, grow a Norse settlement and sail longships across a vast ninth-century map that lasts for months of evening play.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Assassin's Creed Valhalla for PS5 is now in stock at Mascom International for KSh 4,000, supplied as a brand new and sealed physical disc. Ubisoft released Assassin's Creed Valhalla in November 2020, and it remains one of the largest single-player worlds you can put in a PlayStation 5 disc drive. You play Eivor, a Viking raider who leaves Norway to build a new home among the Saxon kingdoms of ninth-century England. Collect your copy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for countrywide delivery.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla suits PS5 owners who want one game to fill many weeks of evenings. University students at the University of Nairobi, Kenyatta University and Strathmore often tell us a new release at full price is finished within one long weekend. That leaves the console idle until the next purchase. Assassin's Creed Valhalla answers that problem with sheer length. Player-tracked averages on HowLongToBeat put the main story near 50 hours and story plus side content near 65 hours. Working professionals who only play on Saturdays get a campaign that carries them through several months.
Among the Assassin's Creed discs on our shelves, Assassin's Creed Valhalla gives you the most map for every shilling. Mirage tightens the series into a single city, Black Flag Resynced puts you behind the wheel of a Caribbean pirate ship, and Shadows moves the action to feudal Japan. Valhalla instead stretches across English kingdoms, Norwegian fjords and mythic Norse realms. Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya, Mascom International lets you check the sealed case in person before paying. PS5 owners across Nairobi report this is the title they return to after finishing shorter games.
Common Questions About the Assassin's Creed Valhalla PS5 Disc
Is Assassin's Creed Valhalla worth KSh 4,000 in Kenya?
Assassin's Creed Valhalla costs about KSh 80 per hour of main story at Mascom International's KSh 4,000 price. Early HowLongToBeat averages place the main story near 50 hours, story plus side quests near 65 hours, and a full map clear above 80 hours. At 65 hours, you pay roughly KSh 62 for each hour of play. That compares well with a cinema ticket or a single evening at a Nairobi gaming lounge. Because it is a disc, you can also resell or swap it once you finish.
Assassin's Creed Valhalla or Assassin's Creed Mirage, which should you buy?
Choose Assassin's Creed Valhalla if you want a long open-world RPG, and choose Mirage if you want a shorter stealth game. Valhalla gives you a whole country to explore, a settlement to upgrade, longship raids, gear builds and skill trees. Mirage returns to the older Assassin's Creed style, focused on hiding, climbing and silent kills inside ninth-century Baghdad. Buyers with limited weekend time often finish Mirage faster. Buyers who want one purchase to last a full school holiday usually pick Valhalla. Mascom International stocks both PS5 discs in Nairobi CBD.
Will the Assassin's Creed Valhalla disc play on a PS5 Digital Edition or PS5 Pro?
The Assassin's Creed Valhalla disc needs a PS5 with a working disc drive to install and play. The standard PS5 and PS5 Slim with a built-in drive read it straight away. The PS5 Pro and the PS5 Slim Digital Edition ship without a drive, so you need Sony's detachable PS5 Disc Drive attached first. The original 2020 PS5 Digital Edition cannot take that drive at all. WhatsApp Mascom International your console model before ordering, and our team will confirm compatibility in minutes.
Does Assassin's Creed Valhalla need internet to play in Kenya?
You can play the full Assassin's Creed Valhalla campaign offline once the disc is installed on your PS5. Online features such as trophies syncing and optional Ubisoft rewards need a PlayStation account and a connection. We recommend downloading the latest update on first install, because patches fix bugs and improve stability. Use Safaricom Home Fibre, Zuku or Faiba for that download rather than mobile bundles, since update files are large. After that, the disc runs fine without any data at all.
What happens to my Assassin's Creed Valhalla progress during a KPLC power cut?
Assassin's Creed Valhalla autosaves often, so a sudden KPLC outage usually costs you only a few minutes of play. The game saves after quests, area changes and key story moments, and you can also save manually from the pause menu at any time. The bigger risk is to your PS5 itself, because repeated hard shutdowns can corrupt data on the internal SSD. A small UPS lets you save and shut down properly. Mascom International stocks UPS units sized for a console and TV.
Who should buy Assassin's Creed Valhalla, and who should skip it?
Assassin's Creed Valhalla is right for adult players who enjoy long campaigns, Viking history and slow-burn exploration. It is a poor fit for children, because it carries an ESRB Mature 17+ rating for blood, intense violence and strong language. Skip it if you want quick sessions with a clear end in sight; Assassin's Creed Mirage suits you better. Skip it too if naval combat is your main interest, where Black Flag Resynced fits best. For the newest visuals in the series, Assassin's Creed Shadows is the stronger pick.
Does Assassin's Creed Valhalla use the DualSense controller features?
Assassin's Creed Valhalla supports DualSense vibration and adaptive trigger effects on PS5. Both appear as switchable options in the game's accessibility settings, which tells you the controller responds to bow draws and weapon strikes. You can turn either effect off if long sessions tire your hands. The PS5 version also supports Tempest 3D Audio through compatible headphones or TV speakers, so footsteps and raiding parties sound positioned around you. A wired headset plugged into the DualSense works without extra setup.
Can I share or resell my Assassin's Creed Valhalla disc?
Yes, the Assassin's Creed Valhalla disc is yours to lend, swap or resell, which a digital download does not allow. Each PS5 keeps its own save files, so a friend can borrow the disc and play without touching your progress. The game is single-player only, so there is no split-screen mode for two people on one console. Many buyers in Nairobi finish the campaign, then trade the disc with friends for another title. A clean, unscratched disc also holds its resale value far better.
Technical Specifications
Game Overview and Setting
- Developed by Ubisoft Montreal and published by Ubisoft, the studio team behind several earlier main entries.
- First released in November 2020, alongside the launch window of the PlayStation 5 console itself.
- Action role-playing game with open-world exploration, so you choose your own route through the story.
- You play Eivor, chosen as a male or female Viking at the start, and can switch later.
- Set in ninth-century Norway and England, with mythic Norse realms visited through story sequences.
- Single-player campaign for one person, so every hour of playtime belongs to your own save file.
- Settlement building at Ravensthorpe lets you add a blacksmith, barracks and other buildings that unlock new gear and quests.
Visual Output on PS5
- Runs at up to 4K resolution with HDR at 60 frames per second on a compatible display.
- Dynamic 4K means resolution adjusts during busy scenes to hold the smoother 60 frames per second.
- HDR needs an HDR-capable TV or monitor; standard sets still show the full game without it.
- Full HD 1080p televisions run the game well, so you do not need a 4K TV first.
- Smooth 60 frames per second makes combat timing and dodges feel tighter than older 30 frame versions.
- Connect through the HDMI cable supplied with your PS5 for the full picture quality the console outputs.
- Sunlit coastlines, snowy fjords and torch-lit night raids benefit most from HDR on a TV that supports it.
Disc, Installation and Storage
- Supplied on a physical PS5 game disc, which must stay in the drive while you play.
- The game installs to the PS5 internal SSD from the disc before your first session can start.
- Check free space before installing, because large open-world games fill an 825GB or 1TB console quickly.
- The PS5 SSD cuts loading times sharply compared with the PS4 version on a hard drive.
- Updates download over the internet; Safaricom Home Fibre, Zuku or Faiba handle them faster than mobile data.
- Deleting the installed data later frees space, and the disc lets you reinstall without buying again.
- Saves stay on the console or in PlayStation Plus cloud storage, separate from the disc itself.
DualSense and Audio Support
- Adaptive trigger effects add resistance to the controller triggers during bow draws and heavy weapon swings.
- Controller vibration responds to combat and travel, giving physical feedback during raids, duels and longship crossings.
- Both vibration and trigger effects switch off in accessibility settings for players who prefer a lighter controller.
- Tempest 3D Audio places sounds around you through compatible headphones or supported TV speakers.
- A wired headset plugged into the DualSense 3.5mm jack works for 3D audio without extra adapters.
- Positional sound helps you hear enemy archers and approaching patrols before they appear on screen.
- Subtitles, text size and colour-blind display options sit in the menus for comfortable long sessions on smaller TVs.
Online, Account and Region
- Online play is optional, so the full campaign works offline once the disc has installed.
- Online features require a PlayStation account, which you can create free with a Kenyan email address.
- An optional Ubisoft Connect link unlocks extra rewards and lets you track progress across Ubisoft games.
- PS5 games are not region-locked, so this disc plays on consoles bought in Kenya or abroad.
- The console may need its latest system software before the game will run on first install.
- Rated ESRB Mature 17+ for violence, blood and strong language, so it suits adult players only.
- In-game purchases exist for cosmetic packs, but the complete story plays without spending another shilling.
