Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Mascom International stocks Alien Isolation at KSh 4,500 as a brand new and sealed Xbox One physical disc from Creative Assembly and Sega. First released on 7 October 2014, Alien Isolation is a first-person survival horror game in which you play Amanda Ripley, daughter of Ellen Ripley from the original Alien film. The disc runs on any Xbox One with a drive and on the Xbox Series X, where Microsoft lists FPS Boost for a higher frame rate. Pick up Alien Isolation at our store in Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for horror fans who want tension rather than nonstop shooting, Alien Isolation drops you onto the Sevastopol space station with a single Alien that hunts you through its corridors. You cannot simply fight it, so you hide in lockers, watch a motion tracker and craft tools from scavenged parts. Progress is kept mainly at wall-mounted emergency save stations, which raises the stakes during a KPLC power cut, since anything after your last save can be lost. Players in Kilimani, Kisumu or Kakamega who play late at night with headphones get the most from its sound design.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that carry only the latest releases, Mascom International keeps Alien Isolation on the shelf for both Xbox One and PS4, so households with either console are covered without a special order. Buyers throughout Kenya report that sealed horror titles are hard to find in local shops, which is why we keep this one in stock. Order Alien Isolation for pay-on-arrival delivery to your county, or visit Kimathi Street to collect it and add a spare Xbox Wireless Controller at the same time.
Common Questions About Alien Isolation
How much is Alien Isolation for Xbox One in Kenya?
Alien Isolation costs KSh 4,500 brand new and sealed at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD. The price covers the physical Xbox One disc in its retail case and a 6-month warranty on disc defects. No subscription is needed, because the full campaign is single-player. We also stock Alien Isolation on PS4 for households with a PlayStation. Delivery is pay-on-arrival across all 47 counties, so you can check the seal before paying by cash or M-Pesa.
Should I buy Alien Isolation on Xbox One or PS4?
Buy Alien Isolation on the console you already own: the Xbox One disc for an Xbox One or Xbox Series X, and the PS4 disc for a PlayStation. Both versions tell the same story aboard Sevastopol station, and Mascom International stocks both. The Xbox disc gains one extra on newer hardware, as Microsoft lists FPS Boost for Alien Isolation on the Xbox Series X. Neither disc helps an Xbox Series S owner, since that console has no drive.
What happens to my Alien Isolation progress during a KPLC power cut?
A power cut can cost you everything since your last save in Alien Isolation, because the game relies mainly on manual saves at emergency stations on the walls. In Kenya, where KPLC outages arrive without warning, use every save station you pass. A small UPS for the console and television gives you time to reach a save point and shut down cleanly. Mascom International sells UPS units in Nairobi CBD, so ask us which one suits an Xbox and a TV.
Is Alien Isolation too scary for teenagers?
Alien Isolation carries an 18+ rating on Microsoft's Xbox store for high impact violence, so it is made for adults. The fear comes from long stretches of tension, sudden attacks and violent deaths when the Alien catches you. Parents should treat it like an 18-rated horror film and keep it away from younger players. Adult fans of the 1979 Alien film will find the game follows that film's look and sound closely, which is a large part of its appeal.
Can Alien Isolation be played offline in Kenya?
Yes, Alien Isolation plays fully offline once it is installed from the disc, so a weak connection never interrupts a session. It is a single-player game, and Microsoft's store lists no online features for it. The console may want an update on first launch, which is best downloaded over Safaricom or Airtel home fibre rather than a mobile bundle. After that, a student in a hostel near JKUAT or Moi University can play without spending any data.
Who should buy Alien Isolation and who should skip it?
Alien Isolation suits adult players who enjoy slow, tense horror and are patient enough to hide, listen and plan. Skip it if you want fast action or co-op with friends; Payday 2 Crimewave Edition gives you shooting with a crew instead. Skip it as well if you own only an Xbox Series S, since the disc cannot load there. Players who get frustrated repeating sections after a death may prefer a lighter Xbox game such as One Piece Burning Blood.
Is Alien Isolation still worth playing in 2026?
Alien Isolation is still worth playing in 2026 because its single hunting Alien reacts to how you move and hide, so encounters rarely play out the same way twice. The art direction copies the chunky computers and grainy monitors of the 1979 film, which has helped it age better than games that chased realism. On an Xbox Series X, FPS Boost adds smoother motion at no extra cost. A sealed disc is also yours to lend, keep or resell.
How do you survive the Alien in Alien Isolation if you cannot kill it?
You survive the Alien in Alien Isolation by avoiding it, using hiding spots, a motion tracker and crafted distractions. Noisemakers and flares pull the creature away from your path, and a flamethrower found later only drives it off for a moment. Hostile human survivors and Working Joe androids add more threats, so you will fight at times, just never win against the Alien itself. Patience, quiet movement and frequent saving matter more than aim.
Technical Specifications
Gameplay and Core Function
- First-person survival horror — you see through Amanda Ripley's eyes, which makes every corridor and vent feel close.
- One hunting Alien — the creature stalks you across the station, so you hide and plan rather than shoot.
- Motion tracker — a handheld screen shows nearby movement, warning you before something appears around a corner.
- Crafting system — combine scavenged parts into noisemakers, flares and other tools that distract or delay enemies.
- Manual save stations — progress is kept mainly at wall-mounted emergency stations, so saving often protects your work.
- Story set after the first film — Amanda searches Sevastopol station for answers about her missing mother, Ellen Ripley.
Compatibility
- Xbox One, Xbox One S and Xbox One X — the disc reads natively on any of these consoles with a working drive.
- Xbox Series X — plays through backward compatibility, with FPS Boost listed by Microsoft for higher frame rates.
- Xbox Series S and Xbox One S All-Digital Edition — no disc drive on either, so this physical copy cannot load.
- Xbox Wireless Controller — the standard pad works, and Mascom International stocks spares for long night sessions.
- PlayStation owners — a separate PS4 disc is required, and Mascom International sells that version on the same shelf.
- Single-player only — one controller is all you need, since there is no online or split-screen mode to set up.
Performance and Installation
- FPS Boost on Xbox Series X — Microsoft raises the frame rate, so movement and camera turns look smoother.
- Installs from disc — the game copies to console storage, and the disc stays in the drive each time you launch.
- First-launch update — the console may fetch a patch, which a home connection handles better than mobile data.
- No online requirement — Microsoft's store lists no online features, so the game runs without an internet connection.
- Optional in-app purchases — the store lists add-on content, sold separately and not needed for the main campaign.
Build and Rating
- Factory-sealed retail case — intact shrink-wrap confirms the disc has never been played, lent or copied.
- Physical Xbox One Blu-ray disc — the original Sega retail disc with no code to redeem for the main game.
- 18+ rating — Microsoft's store flags high impact violence, so this game belongs with adult players only.
- Developer Creative Assembly, publisher Sega — the British studio better known for its Total War strategy series.
- Licensed from the Alien films — machinery, sounds and set design closely follow the 1979 original by Ridley Scott.
