Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate is in stock at Mascom International for KSh 4,300, a brand new and sealed PlayStation 5 disc from NetherRealm Studios and Warner Bros. Games. One disc carries the base game, Kombat Pack 1, the Aftermath expansion and Kombat Pack 2. That bundle adds up to 37 playable fighters and two separate story campaigns. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate sits on the shelf at our store in Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD. Buyers can collect it in person or order it for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Fighting game fans across Kenya often buy a base game, then discover the guest characters and extra story chapters cost more online. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate settles that problem at the counter. Rambo, RoboCop, The Joker, Spawn and the Terminator T-800 are already part of the roster, alongside Scorpion, Sub-Zero and Raiden. University students hosting weekend tournaments in hostel rooms get a full lineup without topping up a PlayStation wallet. Parents buying for older teenagers should note the ESRB Mature 17+ rating before checkout, because the finishing moves are graphic. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate also works as a gift that needs no top-up card, voucher or extra download purchase to feel complete.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell loose or resealed discs, Mascom International supplies Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate in its factory wrap. Customers across Nairobi tell us they prefer the disc because it can be traded, lent to a cousin or kept for years. The PS5 version adds 4K dynamic resolution and much shorter load times than the PS4 release. Pay with M-Pesa when the courier hands it over, or walk in and inspect the seal yourself before paying.
Common Questions About the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate
How much is the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate PS5 disc in Kenya?
Mascom International sells the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate PS5 disc for KSh 4,300, brand new and sealed, at our Kimathi Street store in Nairobi. That price covers the base game plus Kombat Pack 1, the Aftermath expansion and Kombat Pack 2, with no extra character purchases needed. It also includes the 6-month disc warranty described below and pay-on-arrival delivery to every county. Mortal Kombat 1 costs KSh 4,800 at Mascom International, so this edition is KSh 500 cheaper.
What content does the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate include beyond the base game?
The Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate includes three paid add-ons that originally sold separately. Kombat Pack 1 brings six fighters: Shang Tsung, Nightwolf, Sindel, The Joker, the Terminator T-800 and Spawn, plus 25 extra skins. The Aftermath expansion adds Fujin, Sheeva and RoboCop, a second story campaign and 10 more skins. Kombat Pack 2 contributes Mileena, Rain and Rambo. At launch in the United States, Aftermath alone listed at $39.99 and Kombat Pack 1 at $19.99.
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate vs Mortal Kombat 1, which is better for you?
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate gives you more fighters for less money: 37 playable characters at KSh 4,300, against 23 in the Mortal Kombat 1 launch roster at KSh 4,800. Mortal Kombat 1 arrived in September 2023 and adds Kameo assist fighters plus the seasonal Invasions mode. Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate launched in November 2020 with two story campaigns. Pick Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate for roster size and value. Pick Mortal Kombat 1 for the newest story and online scene.
Does buying the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate on disc save data in Kenya?
Yes, the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate disc installs the bulk of the game from the Blu-ray, so your Safaricom or Airtel bundle only covers the update. Gamers on capped home connections in Kisumu or Nakuru avoid downloading the full game over several nights. A short patch still downloads on first connection, so plug in once on Wi-Fi or Safaricom Home Fibre before your first match. Story progress saves to the console, so a KPLC power cut costs you one fight only.
Can you play the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate offline and with friends on one PS5?
Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate runs offline for both story campaigns, the Towers of Time challenges and local versus matches on one console. Add a second DualSense controller and a friend fights you on the same screen with no internet at all. Online ranked play and the Krypt rewards need a connection, and online multiplayer on PS5 requires a PlayStation Plus membership. Krossplay lets PS5 owners fight PS4 and Xbox players in select modes.
Will the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate disc work on a PS5 Digital Edition?
The Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate disc needs a PS5 with a working disc drive. It runs on the standard PS5, the PS5 Slim with its built-in drive, and a PS5 Pro or Slim Digital fitted with Sony's detachable Disc Drive. An original PS5 Digital Edition cannot read it at all. PlayStation 5 game discs carry no region lock, so a Kenyan console reads this copy without any setting changes. Ask us on WhatsApp if you are unsure which model you own.
Is the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate suitable for younger players?
The Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate carries an ESRB Mature 17+ rating for blood, gore, intense violence and strong language. Fatalities show detailed injuries in slow motion, so the game does not suit primary school children. The PS5 parental controls let you block Mature titles on a child's account with a passcode. Families with mixed ages often keep this disc for adults and older teens. Younger players in the house are better served by a lighter title from our PS5 shelf.
Who should buy the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate, and who should skip it?
Buy the Mortal Kombat 11 Ultimate if you want the biggest Mortal Kombat roster on PS5 at KSh 4,300, or play mostly offline against friends. It also suits PS4 owners planning an upgrade, since Krossplay still links both consoles. Skip it if you chase the newest online ranked scene, because most competitive players have moved to Mortal Kombat 1. Skip it too if gore bothers you, and choose a non-violent sports or racing title instead.
Technical Specifications
Game Content and Roster
- 37 playable fighters in total, so local tournaments rarely repeat matchups even across a long Saturday session.
- Guest fighters include Rambo, RoboCop, The Joker, Spawn and the Terminator T-800, all unlocked without separate purchases.
- Two story campaigns: the original cinematic story plus the Aftermath chapter that continues it with new fights.
- Kombat Pack 1 adds 25 character skins and Aftermath adds 10 more, giving each fighter extra looks.
- Custom Variations let you change each fighter's moves and gear, so two Scorpion players can fight differently.
- Fatalities, Brutalities and Fatal Blows remain in every version, which explains the Mature rating on the cover.
Modes and Single-Player Depth
- Towers of Time deliver rotating challenge ladders with modifiers, keeping solo players busy between story chapters.
- Klassic Towers give each fighter a personal arcade ending, rewarding players who finish them with every character.
- The Krypt is an explorable island where earned coins unlock costumes, art and gear without paying extra.
- Practice and tutorial modes break down frame data and combos, so beginners learn the basics within a weekend.
- Local versus works fully offline with two controllers, which suits homes with unreliable internet connections.
PlayStation 5 Performance
- 4K dynamic resolution on a 4K television sharpens character models and arenas compared with the PS4 disc.
- Load times between fights drop sharply on the PS5 solid-state drive, so menus and matches start quickly.
- The game targets the standard PS5 controller layout, and every button can be remapped in settings.
- A 1080p television still shows a clean picture, so a 4K set is a bonus rather than a requirement.
- Saves sit on the console's internal storage, so progress survives unplugging the disc between gaming sessions.
Compatibility and Online Play
- Runs on the standard PS5, PS5 Slim and on Digital models fitted with Sony's detachable Disc Drive.
- An original PS5 Digital Edition without a drive cannot read this disc, so confirm your model first.
- PlayStation 5 game discs are region-free, so this copy works on consoles bought in Kenya, Dubai or Europe.
- Krossplay matches PS5 owners with PS4, Xbox One and Xbox Series players in select online modes.
- Online multiplayer on PS5 needs a PlayStation Plus membership, while offline modes work without any subscription.
- A first-time update downloads after installation, so connect to Wi-Fi once before starting ranked online matches.
Disc Format and Physical Build
- Standard PS5 Blu-ray game disc in a blue PlayStation 5 case, factory sealed in clear shrink wrap.
- The disc stays in the console while you play, which acts as the licence check for the game.
- A physical copy can be resold, traded or lent, unlike a digital purchase tied to one PSN account.
- Store the case upright away from direct sun, since heat and dust can warp or scratch the disc surface.
- Developer is NetherRealm Studios and publisher is Warner Bros. Games, both printed on the back cover.
Rating and Release Details
- ESRB Mature 17+ for blood and gore, intense violence and strong language, printed on the front cover.
- Released on 17 November 2020 for PS5, PS4, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Switch and PC.
- Original United States launch price was $59.99, before Kombat Pack 2 joined this edition.
- PS5 parental controls can block Mature games by account, giving parents a simple way to manage access.
- Kombat Pack 2 reached owners on the same release date, completing the 37-fighter roster on this disc.
