The UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 700 for two adapters, brand new and sealed. Each adapter is rated at up to 10Gbps under the USB 3.2 Gen 2 standard and handles both charging and data. That works out to KSh 350 per adapter. The UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack comes from UGREEN, a well-known accessory maker. Collect yours from our store in the Old Mutual Building on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or have it delivered to your door anywhere in Kenya.
Designed for university students, accountants, journalists and sales teams, the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack handles a mismatch that new gadgets create every day. Your phone, flash drive or charging cable now ends in Type-C, yet office desktops, older laptops, car dashboards and wall chargers still offer only the wider rectangular port. One adapter closes that gap. With two in the pack, one can live on the office PC in Upper Hill while the other rides in your laptop bag on the matatu home. Students at Kenyatta University and JKUAT use them to move assignments from Type-C flash drives onto lab computers.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell loose, unbranded converters that charge slowly or drop files halfway, Mascom International supplies the boxed UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack. Buyers throughout Kenya report that the second adapter in the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack is what they value most, because these small parts go missing easily. At Mascom International, we're seeing teams in Mombasa and Kisumu order several packs at once for shared desks. Walk into the Kimathi Street store to test one with your own phone, or order it and pay on arrival.
Common Questions About the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack
What is the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack price in Kenya?
The UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack costs KSh 700 for two sealed adapters at Mascom International in Nairobi. That is KSh 350 per adapter, with a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects. Delivery is pay-on-arrival to all 47 counties, so you can check the pack before paying by cash or M-Pesa. If you need only one adapter in a metal shell, the UGREEN US276 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter costs KSh 1,000, so the pair costs KSh 300 less.
Will the UGREEN US701 let my Type-C phone connect to a laptop or desktop?
Yes, the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack lets a Type-C phone cable plug into any standard USB-A port on a laptop or desktop. Push the adapter into the computer, then connect your phone's own Type-C cable to it. You can charge the phone or move photos, videos and documents, provided the cable supports data. Some cheap phone leads carry power only, so use the cable that came with your phone for file transfers.
Does the US701 really reach 10Gbps on any laptop?
No, the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack reaches 10Gbps only when every link in the chain supports USB 3.2 Gen 2. Most laptop USB-A ports sold in Kenya run at 5Gbps, and older ones at 480Mbps under USB 2.0. The adapter never slows a connection, so you always get the best speed your port, cable and device allow. A fast Type-C SSD on a 10Gbps port gains the most; a typical flash drive is limited by its own memory chips.
Should I buy the US701 2-Pack at KSh 700 or the UGREEN US276 at KSh 1,000?
Choose the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack if you want two adapters and the higher 10Gbps rating for KSh 700. Choose the UGREEN US276 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter at KSh 1,000 if you want one adapter in an aluminium shell with a stated 3A charging rating. The US701 suits people who split gear between home and office. The US276 suits buyers who keep one adapter on a keyring or car charger and want metal casing.
Can I use the UGREEN US701 to charge from a power bank or car charger during KPLC outages?
Yes, the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack lets a Type-C charging cable draw power from a power bank, car charger or wall plug with a USB-A port. That is useful during KPLC power cuts, when an older power bank becomes the only source in the house. Charging speed depends on the power bank or charger, not the adapter. Most USB-A sources deliver standard charging, so expect a slower top-up than from a dedicated Type-C fast charger.
Who should buy the UGREEN US701 2-Pack, and who should skip it?
Buy the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack if your newer gadgets use Type-C but your computers, chargers or car only offer USB-A ports. It suits households and offices with several devices. Skip it if you need to join two USB-A cables end to end; the UGREEN US381 USB 3.0 Female to Female Adapter at KSh 800 does that job. Skip it too if your laptop already has Type-C ports, since a plain Type-C cable works directly.
Which devices work with the UGREEN US701 adapters?
The UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack works with Type-C flash drives, smartphones, card readers, keyboards, mice, hubs, power banks and chargers. On the host side, any computer, charger or console with a USB-A port can accept it. Extra Type-C features, such as video output to a monitor, depend on the connected hardware and are generally not carried through a USB-A port. For files, charging and everyday accessories, it covers most of what people plug in.
Is the UGREEN US701 2-Pack useful for students sharing files on campus?
Yes, the UGREEN US701 USB-A Male to USB-C Female Adapter 2-Pack suits students who carry Type-C flash drives or phones into computer labs with USB-A ports only. At the University of Nairobi, Strathmore or Moi University, lab PCs are often older desktops. With the adapter on your keyring, you can print a project or submit a document without hunting for a borrowed cable. The second adapter can stay with a classmate or at your hostel desk.
