Mascom International stocks the Samsung 45W Power Adapter on its own, without a cable, at KSh 3,500, brand new and sealed. This Samsung 45W Power Adapter, model EP-T4510, delivers up to 45 watts through one USB-C port, using Super Fast Charging 2.0 and USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS. PPS, short for Programmable Power Supply, lets a Galaxy phone ask for the exact voltage it wants as it fills. You can buy it at our store in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or have it delivered and pay when it arrives.
Designed for Galaxy owners who already have a good cable, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter handles the one job an old plug cannot: feeding an S Ultra phone or a Galaxy Tab S Ultra or Plus tablet at full speed. Lawyers rushing between courts, accountants in Westlands and field engineers on the road all hit the same problem, a big battery and too little time near a socket. The Samsung 45W Power Adapter answers it at a lower price than the boxed kit. Pair it with a 5A-rated USB-C cable, because a 3A cable caps the speed below 45W.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell only bundles or unmarked copies, Mascom International gives you the choice of the genuine Samsung 45W Power Adapter alone. Buyers throughout Kenya report that they replaced a lost or broken brick and kept the 5A cable that came with their earlier kit, saving KSh 1,000 against our cable bundle. At Mascom International, we're seeing more Galaxy Tab owners do the same. Visit our Kimathi Street shop to check the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with your own cable and phone, or send a WhatsApp message to order delivery to your county.
Common Questions About the Samsung 45W Power Adapter
What is the Samsung 45W Power Adapter adapter-only price in Kenya?
The Samsung 45W Power Adapter without a cable costs KSh 3,500, brand new and sealed, at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi. You get the adapter itself, a 6-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya. No cable is included, so you need your own 5A USB-C to USB-C cable for full speed. The version bundled with a Samsung 2m 5A cable costs KSh 4,500, which makes this option KSh 1,000 cheaper for anyone who already owns that cable.
Should I buy the Samsung 45W Power Adapter or the Samsung 25W Power Adapter without a cable?
Pick the Samsung 45W Power Adapter if your Galaxy device accepts 45W; pick the Samsung 25W Power Adapter if it tops out at 25W. Both are sold adapter-only at Mascom International, the 45W at KSh 3,500 and the 25W at KSh 2,500. The extra KSh 1,000 buys Super Fast Charging 2.0 for S Ultra phones and Tab S Ultra or Plus tablets. A phone limited to 25W gains nothing from the bigger brick, so the cheaper one is the honest choice there.
What cable do I need to get full 45W from the Samsung 45W Power Adapter?
You need a USB-C to USB-C cable rated for 5 amps to reach the full 45W on a Galaxy phone. Samsung's own figures show PPS output of up to 4.05 amps between 3.3 and 11 volts, which is more than a typical 3A cable can carry. With a 3A cable the Samsung 45W Power Adapter still works, but the phone drops to a slower mode. The cable that came with an earlier Samsung 45W kit is 5A rated; most phone box cables are not.
Can the Samsung 45W Power Adapter run on solar inverters and generators during KPLC blackouts?
Yes, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter accepts input from 100 to 240 volts, so a home solar inverter or generator supplying normal mains power runs it fine. Many Kenyan homes in Kisumu, Nakuru and rural areas switch to solar backup when KPLC supply drops, and the adapter draws modest power from it. Generators can produce rough voltage, so use a surge-protected extension cable between them. Plug type can vary by batch, so confirm the version in stock with Mascom International on WhatsApp.
Can the Samsung 45W Power Adapter charge an iPhone or other brands?
Yes, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter charges any phone that supports USB Power Delivery, including USB-C iPhones and many Oppo, Tecno and Infinix models. Each device takes only the speed it was built for, so a non-Samsung phone charges at its own rate rather than at 45W. Super Fast Charging 2.0 itself is a Galaxy feature. Households in Kenya with mixed phone brands often keep one Samsung 45W Power Adapter by the bed and share it between everyone.
Will the Samsung 45W Power Adapter damage my phone battery?
No, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter does not force 45W into a phone; the phone decides how much power it takes. PPS lets a Galaxy phone adjust voltage in small steps, which keeps heat lower than older fixed fast charging. Samsung notes that speed changes with the device, the cable and the room temperature. On hot afternoons in Mombasa or inside a parked car, charge in a shaded, airy spot and remove thick cases to keep temperatures down.
How can I tell a genuine Samsung 45W Power Adapter from a fake in Nairobi?
A genuine Samsung 45W Power Adapter, model EP-T4510, weighs about 115 grams and measures 43.5 by 84.8 by 28 millimetres. Fakes sold on Nairobi streets are often lighter and print the wrong output ratings. Check that the label lists PPS output from 3.3 to 21 volts and the 45W rating. Mascom International sells only sealed Samsung units, and you can weigh and inspect one at our Kimathi Street shop before paying by M-Pesa or cash.
Who should buy the adapter-only Samsung 45W Power Adapter, and who should skip it?
Buy it if you own a 45W-capable Galaxy phone or tablet and already have a 5A USB-C cable, or need a spare brick for the office. Skip it if you have no 5A cable; the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with 2m cable at KSh 4,500 is better value than buying a cable separately. Owners of 25W Galaxy A phones should skip it too and choose the Samsung 25W Power Adapter, sold without a cable at KSh 2,500.
Technical Specifications
Charging Output and Standards
- Super Fast Charging 2.0 up to 45 watts — Samsung's faster mode, active on Galaxy S Ultra phones and Galaxy Tab S Ultra or Plus tablets.
- USB Power Delivery 3.0 — the open USB-C charging standard, so phones, tablets and laptops from many brands recognise this adapter.
- PPS from 3.3 to 21 volts — the phone requests tiny voltage changes as it fills, which reduces heat inside the battery.
- Up to 4.05 amps at 3.3-11 volts in PPS mode — the high current that needs a 5A cable to pass in full.
- PPS steps of 2.8 amps up to 16 volts and 2.1 amps up to 21 volts — steady supply for tablets with bigger batteries.
- Fixed outputs of 9V or 15V at 3 amps and 20V at 2.25 amps — the profiles most USB-C laptops and tablets expect.
- Standard 5V at 3 amps — gentle power for earbuds, smartwatch pucks and older Bluetooth speakers that charge over USB-C.
Device and Cable Compatibility
- Reaches full 45W on Galaxy S Ultra phones that support Super Fast Charging 2.0, when paired with a 5A-rated USB-C cable.
- Galaxy Tab S Ultra and Galaxy Tab S Plus tablets also accept 45W, cutting the long wait their large batteries need.
- Galaxy A-series and other 25W phones charge at their own top speed, so the adapter stays useful if you change phones.
- USB-C iPhones and Android phones from other brands charge at their own rated speed through standard Power Delivery.
- Small laptops and Chromebooks rated for 45W or less can charge from it; machines expecting 65W or more charge slowly.
- No cable included — use a 5A USB-C to USB-C cable for 45W, or any USB-C cable for slower everyday charging.
- Samsung states charging speed varies with the device, the cable and surrounding conditions such as heat.
Build and Electrical Safety
- Input from 100 to 240 volts — runs on Kenya Power's 240V supply, solar inverters and foreign mains without a converter.
- Body measures 43.5 x 84.8 x 28 millimetres — small enough for a jacket pocket or the side pouch of a backpack.
- Weighs 115.4 grams — light for daily carrying, and a useful check against fake units that weigh noticeably less.
- Black casing — keeps a clean look on an office desk and hides marks from regular plugging in and out.
- Certified by the relevant authority in each country where Samsung sells it, meeting local electrical safety requirements.
- Single USB-C port — the full output goes to one device, with no sharing that would slow the charge.
- Detachable design — the adapter works with any USB-C cable, so a worn cable never means replacing the whole charger.
Inclusions and Value
- Adapter only — the box contains the Samsung 45W Power Adapter without any cable, which keeps the price at KSh 3,500.
- KSh 1,000 below the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with 2m cable — the saving for buyers who already own a 5A cable.
- KSh 1,000 above the adapter-only Samsung 25W Power Adapter — the cost of stepping up to Super Fast Charging 2.0.
- Sealed Samsung retail packaging — proof the unit has never been opened, used or swapped before it reaches you.
- Spare brick option — keep one at home and one at the office so your cable is the only thing you carry.
