Samsung 45W Power Adapter with its 2m 5A USB-C to USB-C cable is available at Mascom International for KSh 4,500, brand new and sealed in Samsung retail packaging. The Samsung 45W Power Adapter, model EP-T4510, supports Super Fast Charging 2.0 and USB-C Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS, the programmable power standard Galaxy phones use to adjust voltage while they charge. Its single USB-C port delivers up to 45 watts, and the matched 5A cable carries that full current. Collect it from our shop in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for pay-on-arrival delivery.
Built for busy Galaxy owners across Kenya, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter suits executives in Upper Hill, content creators filming all day, and sales teams who live on their phones between client visits. The common problem is a Galaxy S Ultra phone or Galaxy Tab S Ultra tablet stuck on an old low-wattage plug, crawling back to full while the day slips away. Plug the Samsung 45W Power Adapter in during a short window between KPLC power cuts, or before a long matatu ride home, and a supported phone draws the full speed it accepts. The bundled cable means nothing else to buy or test.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell loose copies with thin cables, Mascom International stocks the genuine Samsung 45W Power Adapter in sealed retail packaging with the correct 5A cable included. That cable matters: an ordinary 3A cable holds Galaxy phones back from 45W, so many buyers who pay for fast charging never actually get it. Customers across Nairobi tell us this kit finally gives their Ultra phones the speed Samsung promised. Walk into our Kimathi Street store to watch the Samsung 45W Power Adapter charge a Galaxy device in front of you, or WhatsApp us for same-day delivery within Nairobi.
Common Questions About the Samsung 45W Power Adapter
How much is the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with 2m cable in Kenya?
The Samsung 45W Power Adapter with the 2m 5A USB-C cable costs KSh 4,500, sealed, at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. That price includes the adapter, the 5A cable, a Quick Start Guide, a 6-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties. The adapter-only version sells for KSh 3,500, so the cable adds KSh 1,000. If you already own a genuine 5A USB-C cable, the cheaper version saves you that amount. If you do not, this kit is the simpler buy.
Is the Samsung 45W Power Adapter worth KSh 1,000 more than the Samsung 25W Power Adapter?
Yes, if your Galaxy phone or tablet supports 45W charging; otherwise the Samsung 25W Power Adapter is the sensible choice. At Mascom International the 25W kit with cable costs KSh 3,500, against KSh 4,500 for the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with its 2m cable. The 25W model stops at standard Super Fast Charging, while the 45W unlocks Super Fast Charging 2.0 on supported Galaxy S Ultra phones and Galaxy Tab S Ultra or Plus tablets. On a Galaxy phone rated for 25W, both adapters charge at the same speed.
Does the Samsung 45W Power Adapter cope with KPLC power cuts and voltage changes in Kenya?
Yes, the Samsung 45W Power Adapter accepts any input from 100 to 240 volts, so it runs on Kenya Power's 240V supply without a converter. During KPLC outages, short charging windows matter, and 45W charging puts more energy into a supported Galaxy phone in that time than a slower plug can. If your building suffers frequent surges, plug it into a surge-protected extension rather than straight into the wall. Ask on WhatsApp which plug style the stock unit carries before you order.
Who should buy the Samsung 45W Power Adapter with cable, and who should skip it?
Buy this kit if you own a 45W-capable Galaxy phone or tablet and lack a 5A cable, because the box gives you everything needed for Super Fast Charging 2.0. Skip it if your phone charges at 25W or less, as many Galaxy A models do; the Samsung 25W Power Adapter with cable at KSh 3,500 does the same job there. Also skip it if you already own a genuine 5A cable, since the adapter-only Samsung 45W Power Adapter at KSh 3,500 saves you KSh 1,000.
Which Samsung phones and tablets charge at 45W with the Samsung 45W Power Adapter?
Galaxy S Ultra phones that support Super Fast Charging 2.0, plus Galaxy Tab S Ultra and Galaxy Tab S Plus tablets, charge at the full 45W with the Samsung 45W Power Adapter. Samsung states that charging speed varies by device, so check your model's rated wattage on its box or spec sheet, or ask Mascom International on WhatsApp before buying. Other Galaxy phones and earbuds still charge safely, because PPS lets each device request only the power it can handle.
Why does the Samsung 45W Power Adapter need a 5A cable for full speed?
Full 45W charging on Galaxy phones runs at a higher current than the 3 amps most USB-C cables are built to carry. Samsung's spec sheet lists up to 4.05 amps between 3.3 and 11 volts in PPS mode. A 5A-rated cable, like the 2m one in this Samsung 45W Power Adapter kit, has the heavier wiring and identification chip needed for that current. With an ordinary 3A cable, the phone falls back to a lower speed and you lose much of what you paid for.
Is the Samsung 45W Power Adapter good for laptops and non-Samsung devices?
The Samsung 45W Power Adapter charges many USB-C laptops and non-Samsung phones because it follows the open USB Power Delivery 3.0 standard. Its fixed outputs include 9V and 15V at 3 amps and 20V at 2.25 amps. Small ultrabooks and Chromebooks that accept 45W charge normally, while larger laptops built for 65W or more charge slowly or only while idle. University students at Strathmore and JKUAT like carrying a single plug for phone and laptop through a long day of lectures.
Is the Samsung 45W Power Adapter at Mascom International genuine?
Yes, Mascom International sells the genuine Samsung 45W Power Adapter, model EP-T4510, sealed in Samsung retail packaging. Copies of the 45W brick are sold around Nairobi, often with lighter bodies and cables that cannot carry 5 amps. The genuine unit weighs about 115 grams and measures 43.5 by 84.8 by 28 millimetres, so you can check it in hand at our Kimathi Street store. Every unit carries our 6-month warranty and a walk-in shop that stands behind it.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Power Output
- Super Fast Charging 2.0 at up to 45 watts — Samsung's quicker charging mode for supported Galaxy S Ultra phones and Galaxy Tab S tablets.
- USB Power Delivery 3.0 with PPS — Programmable Power Supply lets the phone request small voltage steps, which keeps the battery cooler while it charges.
- PPS range of 3.3 to 21 volts, with up to 4.05 amps at 3.3-11 volts — the high-current band Galaxy phones use for 45W.
- Further PPS ratings of 2.8 amps at 3.3-16 volts and 2.1 amps at 3.3-21 volts — steady power for tablets and other devices.
- Fixed PD outputs of 9V and 15V at 3 amps, and 20V at 2.25 amps — standard profiles laptops and tablets recognise.
- Basic 5V at 3 amps output — gentle charging for earbuds, watches and older accessories that need little power.
- Single USB-C port — one device at a time receives the full 45 watts, with no power split between ports.
Compatibility
- Galaxy S Ultra phones that support 45W charging reach full Super Fast Charging 2.0 speed with this adapter and the included cable.
- Galaxy Tab S Ultra and Galaxy Tab S Plus tablets accept 45W, shortening the long wait their large batteries usually demand.
- Other Galaxy phones, including many A-series models, charge at their own rated speed, because PPS never pushes more power than requested.
- Non-Samsung USB-C phones and tablets charge through standard Power Delivery, so one plug can serve a household with mixed brands.
- USB-C laptops and Chromebooks rated for 45W or less can run and charge from it; bigger laptops expecting 65W charge slowly.
- Samsung notes charging speed varies by device, cable and surroundings, so heat and cable quality both affect the results you see.
- Earbuds and smartwatch chargers that use USB-C draw only the small current they need, so the adapter is safe for low-power accessories too.
Build and Safety
- Input of 100-240 volts — works on Kenya Power's 240V mains and on trips abroad without a voltage converter.
- Compact body of 43.5 x 84.8 x 28 millimetres — slips into a laptop bag pocket or handbag without adding bulk.
- Weight of 115.4 grams — light enough to carry every day between the office and home.
- Black finish — hides dust and marks from daily handling better than a white plug does.
- Genuine Samsung unit, certified by the relevant authority in each country where Samsung sells it, so it meets local electrical rules.
- One-piece wall plug with no loose parts apart from the cable, so there is less to lose in a busy bag.
- Detachable cable design — if the cable is ever damaged, you replace only the cable and keep using the same adapter.
Inclusions and Cable
- Samsung 2m 5A USB-C to USB-C cable included — the cable rating Samsung requires for full 45W charging.

- 2-metre length — reaches a bed, sofa or office desk from a wall socket on the far side of the room.
