Mascom International stocks the Logitech MK850 Performance at KSh 20,500, brand new and sealed. This set pairs a curved full-size keyboard with a cushioned palm rest and a contoured right-handed mouse. The Logitech MK850 Performance connects through one Logitech Unifying USB receiver or over Bluetooth, and both pieces switch between three devices at the press of a button. The keyboard runs up to 36 months on two AAA batteries, and the mouse up to 24 months on one AA battery. Try the Logitech MK850 Performance at our store in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for sales teams, logistics coordinators, accountants and managers across Kenya, the Logitech MK850 Performance answers a daily frustration. Many professionals juggle an office desktop, a laptop and a tablet, and keep separate keyboards and mice for each. With this set, one keyboard and one mouse control all three. A dispatcher in Industrial Area can type delivery notes on a desktop, answer WhatsApp on a tablet, then return to the laptop in seconds. The curved keyframe and soft palm rest keep wrists level during long sessions, and the mouse adds a fast-scrolling wheel for long spreadsheets and reports.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell no-name desktop sets that drop their link or wear out within months, Mascom International supplies the original Logitech MK850 Performance with a written warranty. Customers across Nairobi tell us they choose it when they want one desk setup that serves both work and home machines. Buyers throughout Kenya report that the long battery life means batteries are changed once in a long while. Visit us to try both pieces, or order on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties.
Common Questions About the Logitech MK850 Performance
How much is the Logitech MK850 Performance in Kenya?
The Logitech MK850 Performance costs KSh 20,500 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. That price buys both the keyboard and the mouse, plus a Logitech Unifying USB receiver, three batteries, a 6-month Mascom International warranty against manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery across Kenya. Bought as a set, both pieces share one receiver, so a single USB port serves the pair. No charging cables are needed, since the keyboard and the mouse run on standard AA and AAA batteries.
Should I buy the Logitech MK850 Performance or the Logitech MK540?
Choose the Logitech MK850 Performance if you work across several devices, and the Logitech MK540 if you use one computer and want to save KSh 12,500. The MK540 costs KSh 8,000 at Mascom International and connects through a USB receiver to a single computer only, with no Bluetooth. The Logitech MK850 Performance adds Bluetooth, three-device switching on both pieces, a curved keyframe with a cushioned palm rest and a contoured mouse. For one office desktop, the cheaper set covers the basics well.
How does Easy-Switch work on the Logitech MK850 Performance?
Easy-Switch lets the Logitech MK850 Performance keyboard and mouse each remember three devices and jump between them at the press of a button. The keyboard has three dedicated keys, while the mouse has a small button that cycles through its three channels. You might pair channel one to an office desktop through the receiver, channel two to a laptop over Bluetooth, and channel three to a tablet. Switching both pieces takes two presses, so a Kilimani home office can share one set between work and personal machines.
Will the Logitech MK850 Performance keep working during KPLC power cuts?
Yes, the Logitech MK850 Performance runs on batteries, so a KPLC power cut never affects it while your laptop or UPS-backed desktop stays on. The keyboard uses two AAA batteries and the mouse uses one AA battery, both widely sold in supermarkets and shops. Nothing needs a socket or charging cable, which matters when outages last hours. In dusty offices, shake the keyboard upside down now and then and wipe the palm rest with a damp cloth to keep grit from collecting under the keys.
How long do the batteries last on the Logitech MK850 Performance?
Logitech rates the Logitech MK850 Performance keyboard for up to 36 months on two AAA batteries and the mouse for up to 24 months on one AA battery. Actual life depends on how many hours you type and scroll each day. Both pieces have an on-off switch, so you can save power over weekends and holidays. At KSh 20,500 spread over a 24-month mouse battery cycle, the set costs under KSh 900 a month, a small sum for tools used throughout every working day.
What devices and systems does the Logitech MK850 Performance support?
The Logitech MK850 Performance works with Windows, macOS, ChromeOS, Android and iPadOS, with support depending on the connection. Over Bluetooth it pairs with Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.10 or later, ChromeOS, Android 3.2 or later and iOS 5 or later on iPhone and iPad. Through the Unifying receiver it supports Windows 7 or later, macOS and ChromeOS. Keys carry both Windows and Mac legends, and the Logi Options+ app lets you customise shortcut keys and mouse buttons on either system.
Is the Logitech MK850 Performance good for accountants and long spreadsheet work?
Yes, the Logitech MK850 Performance suits accountants because the keyboard is full-size with a dedicated number pad and the mouse has a fast-scrolling wheel. Unlock the wheel to spin through thousands of spreadsheet rows, then lock it again for line-by-line control. The cushioned palm rest keeps wrists supported during month-end reconciliations and KRA filing weeks. Back and forward buttons under your thumb speed up moving through browser tabs and accounting software, and the 15 hot keys give one-press access to media and common shortcuts.
Who should buy the Logitech MK850 Performance, and who should skip it?
Buy the Logitech MK850 Performance if you switch between two or three devices daily and want one comfortable desk set for all of them. It suits managers, sales staff, accountants and home-office workers. Skip it if you are left-handed, because the mouse is shaped for the right hand. Skip it too if you work on a single computer, where the MK470 slim set or MK540 cost less, or if your IT team needs a Logi Bolt receiver, which the MK650 Combo for Business provides.
Technical Specifications

- 15 hot keys — one-press media, volume and shortcut controls that save trips through menus during a busy workday.
- Curved keyframe — keys follow the natural arc of your fingertips, so each hand reaches the outer keys with less stretching.
- Cushioned palm rest built in — soft padding along the front edge supports the heel of each hand during long typing sessions.
- Adjustable tilt legs — raise the back of the keyboard to the typing angle that feels most natural for your desk height.

Mouse Core Function
- Contoured right-handed shape — the body fills the palm and supports the thumb, which reduces grip effort over a full day.

- Fast-scrolling wheel — unlock it to spin freely through long documents, then lock it for precise, click-by-click scrolling.

- Wireless range of up to 10 metres — work from across a small office or meeting room while the computer sits away.
- Bluetooth support for Windows 7 or later, macOS 10.10 or later, ChromeOS, Android 3.2 or later and iOS 5 or later.
- Unifying receiver support for Windows 7 or later, macOS and ChromeOS — plug in and start typing without any setup.
Battery and Power
- Keyboard battery life of up to 36 months — Logitech's rating on two AAA batteries; heavier daily use shortens that.
- Mouse battery life of up to 24 months — rated on one AA battery, which is easy to replace whenever needed.
- On-off switches on both pieces — power them down over weekends so batteries are not drained while you are away.
- No charging cables — nothing to plug in, and no wear on charging ports that can fail on rechargeable sets.
- Standard battery sizes — AA and AAA cells are sold almost everywhere, so a flat battery is a one-minute fix.
Build and Dimensions
- Keyboard measures 430 mm wide, 210 mm deep and 25 mm high — plan desk space for this plus the mouse.
- Keyboard weighs 733 grams — heavy enough to stay planted on the desk while you type firmly through long sessions.
- Mouse measures 74 mm wide, 115 mm long and 45 mm high — sized for medium to large right hands.
- Mouse weighs 135 grams with its battery — light enough to glide easily, with enough weight to feel controlled.
- Black finish on both pieces — a dark colour that hides fingerprints and fits most office furniture and computers.
