Mascom International stocks the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor at KSh 2,200, a brand new 20V 3.25A charger with a USB-C plug, ready for collection or delivery. Twenty volts at 3.25 amps gives 65 watts, sent through USB Power Delivery, the standard that lets laptops, tablets and phones agree on a safe charging level before power flows. This replacement adaptor for HP laptops is meant for the HP Spectre range and other HP models that charge over USB-C. The HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor is available at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, with same-day delivery across Nairobi.
Built for executives, lawyers, consultants and content creators across Kenya who carry a thin HP Spectre between meetings, the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor replaces a charger that is painful to lose. A Spectre without its charger is dead weight by mid-afternoon, and the small phone charger in your bag is too weak to keep it running through a client presentation in Upper Hill. This adaptor puts the full 65W back on your desk. Because it follows USB Power Delivery, it can also charge many USB-C phones and tablets, so one brick handles the whole kit on a work trip.
Many USB-C chargers sold around town are phone chargers rated well below what a laptop needs. Mascom International sells the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor at the 65W rating HP's USB-C laptops are designed to take. At Mascom International, we're seeing more buyers move to USB-C laptops and ask for one charger that does everything, and this is the unit we point HP owners to. Send your laptop model on WhatsApp for a quick fit check, then pick up the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor at our Kimathi Street counter or order it with pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor
How much is the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor in Kenya?
The HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor costs KSh 2,200, brand new, at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD. The price includes the adaptor with its attached USB-C cable, a detachable mains power cord and a 6-month warranty, plus pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya. It is the same price as the Dell 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor at KSh 2,200 and KSh 100 below the Lenovo 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor at KSh 2,300.
Which laptops can the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor charge?
The HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor charges HP Spectre and Spectre x360 laptops that have a USB-C charging port, plus USB-C charging models in HP's Envy, EliteBook, ProBook and Chromebook lines. Because it uses USB Power Delivery, it also works with many USB-C laptops from other brands. One check matters: the laptop's USB-C port must accept charging, since some ports carry data only. Look for a battery or lightning icon beside the port, or send your model on WhatsApp for confirmation.
HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor or Dell 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor: does the brand matter?
For most USB-C laptops, the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor and the Dell 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor do the same job, because both deliver 65W over USB-C and both cost KSh 2,200 at Mascom International. The difference is matching: the HP unit follows HP's own 20V 3.25A rating, which suits Spectre owners who want the figures their laptop lists. Dell owners may prefer the Dell unit for the same reason. The Lenovo 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor, at KSh 2,300, suits ThinkPad users.
Can the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor handle KPLC surges and travel around Kenya?
The HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor works on Kenyan mains power, but connect it through a surge protector, because the surge that follows a KPLC outage can damage both the adaptor and the laptop's USB-C port. For trips to Mombasa or Kisumu, one USB-C brick can replace separate laptop and phone chargers, which lightens the bag. In coastal humidity, store it dry and keep the USB-C plug clean, since a little lint in the port can stop charging altogether.
Will the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor charge my phone and tablet safely?
Yes, the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor can charge many USB-C phones and tablets, because USB Power Delivery lets each device ask for only the power it can take. A phone does not receive 20V unless it requests it. Charging speed depends on the device: some phones reach their top speed only on their maker's own fast-charging system, so they may charge more slowly here. Tablets, earbud cases and power banks with USB-C Power Delivery generally charge without trouble.
Is 65W enough for every HP laptop with a USB-C port?
65W covers most HP Spectre, Envy and EliteBook laptops that charge over USB-C, running office work, video calls and browsing while the battery tops up. A few larger HP models with dedicated graphics ship with a higher-watt USB-C charger, and on the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor they may charge slowly during heavy work such as video editing or gaming. Check the wattage on your original charger: if it reads 65W or less, this adaptor matches it. If it reads higher, ask us first.
Who should buy the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor, and who should skip it?
Buy the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor if you own a Spectre or another HP laptop with a USB-C charging port, or if you want one charger for a USB-C laptop, tablet and phone. It suits executives, consultants and students who travel light. Skip it if your HP has a round charging socket, because the HP 65W Bullet Pin Laptop Adaptor and HP 30W 4.0mm Laptop Adaptor fit older round-socket models. Skip it too if your original charger is rated above 65W.
Can I leave the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor plugged in all day?
Yes, you can leave the HP Spectre 65W USB-C Laptop Adaptor connected through the working day, because the laptop controls charging and stops filling the battery once it is full. Some HP laptops also offer battery care settings that hold the charge below full when the machine stays plugged in for long periods. Keep the brick on the desk rather than under papers or cushions, so it stays cool. Unplug it at the wall overnight if your area sees frequent outages.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Power Output
- 20V at 3.25A output — 65 watts at the highest voltage the adaptor offers, matching the USB-C rating HP lists for its 65W laptops.
- USB Power Delivery — a charging standard where adaptor and device agree on voltage before power flows, so each gadget gets a safe level.
- Lower voltages for smaller devices — phones, tablets and accessories request less power, and the adaptor supplies only what they ask for.
- 65W capacity — runs a USB-C laptop through office work, browsing and video calls while its battery recharges at the same time.
- AC-to-DC conversion — the brick turns mains electricity into the low-voltage direct current that laptops and phones store in their batteries.
- One charger for several devices — replaces separate laptop and phone chargers, freeing space and weight in a work bag.
- Overnight top-up — leave the laptop connected with the lid closed, and it starts the morning on a full battery.
Compatibility and Port Support
- HP Spectre and Spectre x360 laptops — models with a USB-C charging port take this adaptor directly, with no extra converter.
- Other HP USB-C laptops — USB-C charging models in the Envy, EliteBook, ProBook and Chromebook lines accept the same plug.
- Other brands — many USB-C laptops from other makers that support USB Power Delivery can charge from this adaptor.
- Phones and tablets — USB-C devices with Power Delivery support charge at the speed they negotiate with the adaptor.
- Charging port check — look for a battery or lightning icon beside the port, since data-only USB-C ports will not charge.
- Higher-watt laptops — models that shipped with chargers above 65W may charge slowly under heavy load such as editing or gaming.
- WhatsApp fit check — send your laptop model to +254 708 852 521 and get a clear answer before you pay.
Build and Design
- Two-piece design — the brick and the mains cord come apart, so a damaged cord can be swapped without replacing the adaptor.
- Attached USB-C cable — fixed to the brick and built to carry the full 3.25A, which many loose phone cables are not rated for.
- Reversible USB-C plug — goes into the port either way up, so there is no fumbling at a dim conference table.
- Single standard connector — the same oval USB-C plug fits laptops, tablets and phones, unlike older round barrel tips.
- Warm brick during heavy charging — normal for any 65W adaptor; leave it uncovered on a hard surface so heat escapes.
- Brand new stock — never a used or pulled-from-a-machine unit, so the cable, plug and casing arrive unworn.
- Cable care — the joint where the cable meets the USB-C plug wears first, so coil it loosely rather than folding it tight.
Inclusions and Support
- Adaptor brick with attached USB-C cable — plug straight into your laptop, phone or tablet with nothing else needed.
- Detachable mains power cord — joins the brick to the wall socket; the plug type can be confirmed on WhatsApp before dispatch.
- 6-month warranty from Mascom International — covers manufacturing defects, with claims handled at our Nairobi CBD service desk.
