HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard is now available at Mascom International for KSh 2,500, the lowest-outlay fix for cyber café owners, shopkeepers and M-Pesa agents who need a dead keyboard sorted today. Each unit is brand new and sealed, built to original OEM grade with a US layout, black keycaps, a full numeric keypad and no backlight. It suits the standard ProBook 450 G6 that shipped without illuminated keys. Collect the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, Monday to Saturday from 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM.
A cyber café loses money every hour one station sits idle. An M-Pesa agent who cannot type float figures into a spreadsheet falls behind on reconciliation before lunch. The HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard solves that problem without the expense of a second computer. Retail managers, accountants and small-business owners from River Road to Kenyatta Avenue use these ProBooks for invoicing, KRA iTax returns and stock sheets. The HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard keeps a full numeric keypad for quick figure entry, and its standard non-backlit design matches the original part your ProBook was built around, so nothing changes about how the machine behaves once fitted.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell unmarked keyboards from a plastic bag, Mascom International states the exact layout, model fit and backlight type before you pay. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us the clear model matching saves them a wasted trip and a second purchase. The HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard costs KSh 1,000 less than the backlit version we also stock, which matters when you are repairing three or four shop machines at once. Walk in to compare both, or order on WhatsApp for same-day delivery across Nairobi.
Common Questions About the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard
Will the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard also fit a 455 G6 or a 450 G7?
Yes, the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard is listed for the 450 G6, 455 G6, 450 G7 and 455 G7. Parts sellers also match it to the 450R and 455R versions of both generations, which share the same 15.6-inch chassis. It will not fit the older 450 G5 or the newer 450 G8, because their keyboard shapes and connectors differ. Mascom International stocks keyboards for those generations separately. Send a photo of the label under your ProBook on WhatsApp and our Nairobi CBD team confirms the match before dispatch.
Why pick the standard HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard over the backlit version?
The standard HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard costs KSh 2,500, while the backlit version at Mascom International costs KSh 3,500. That KSh 1,000 gap pays for a day of data bundles across several shop machines. More importantly, many ProBook 450 G6 units left the factory without backlight wiring or a lighting key. On those machines a backlit keyboard types normally but never glows, so you pay extra for nothing. If your old keyboard never lit up, this standard version is the correct, like-for-like choice.
My ProBook 450 G6 has a UK layout, which keyboard should I order?
Order the UK-layout HP ProBook 450 G6 keyboard, which Mascom International lists separately at the same KSh 2,500. This listing covers the US layout only. A UK keyboard has a tall, two-row Enter key, a pound sign above the number 3 and an extra key beside the left Shift. A US keyboard has a wide, single-row Enter key and the @ symbol above the number 2. Mixing layouts leaves a gap in the top case, so check your Enter key shape before ordering.
How quickly can a cyber café get a ProBook 450 G6 running again with this keyboard?
Most Nairobi cyber cafés can have a ProBook 450 G6 running again on the same day they order. Mascom International delivers the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard to Nairobi and its environs the same day, and you pay only on arrival. Shops in Nakuru, Eldoret, Kisumu and other major towns receive it the next business day. A trained technician can fit it the same afternoon, though the ProBook must be opened fully. That turns a dead station into a paying one within one business day.
Is the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard worth KSh 2,500 compared with a USB keyboard?
Yes, for any ProBook that leaves the counter or travels, because a USB keyboard only patches the problem at a desk. An external board takes a USB port, needs desk space and gets knocked off a busy shop counter. A failing built-in keyboard can also keep firing stray keystrokes into M-Pesa records or customer forms, even with a USB keyboard attached. Replacing the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard removes that fault at the source. For a desk-bound ProBook with only a few dead keys, a USB keyboard can still work as a temporary bridge.
Does the numeric keypad help with M-Pesa agent and KRA iTax data entry?
Yes, the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard keeps the full ten-key numeric keypad on the right side of the deck. M-Pesa agents reconciling float sheets, and accountants entering KRA iTax figures, can key in long amounts with one hand without hunting across the top number row. That speed adds up across a full day of Lipa na M-Pesa till reports and supplier invoices. The keypad also includes its own Enter key and arithmetic keys, which suit Excel and accounting software used across Kenyan small businesses.
What does original OEM grade mean on this replacement keyboard?
OEM grade means the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard follows the original factory part for key layout, mounting points and ribbon connector. It is not a generic board trimmed to fit. Keys sit at the original height and spacing, so the top case closes flat and the touchpad area stays level. Every unit reaching Mascom International arrives brand new and sealed, never pulled from a scrapped machine. That matters in Kenya, where secondhand pulls often carry hidden dead keys or a cracked ribbon.
Who should buy the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard, and who should skip it?
Buy the HP ProBook 450 G6 Replacement Keyboard if your 15.6-inch ProBook 450 G6 or 455 G6 has a US layout and never had glowing keys. It suits cyber cafés, M-Pesa shops, schools and small offices repairing on a tight budget. Skip it if your old keyboard lit up and you want that feature kept, because the backlit 450 G6 and G7 version at KSh 3,500 is the better fit. Skip it too if your machine has the UK layout, since the UK version matches correctly.

Build Quality and Daily Durability
- Brand new and sealed stock, avoiding the hidden dead keys common on secondhand keyboards pulled from scrapped machines.
- Built to original OEM grade, so key height and spacing let the top case close flat as designed.
- Chiclet-style keys with even spacing suit long typing sessions at a busy cyber café counter.
- Flexible ribbon connector matches the original part, so it seats into the motherboard socket without modification.
- Sealed packaging keeps out the dust common along Nairobi CBD streets until the moment of fitting.
Connection and Installation
- Connects internally through a ribbon cable, so no USB port is used once the keyboard is fitted.
- Fitting requires opening the ProBook fully, so a trained technician handles it most reliably.
- An experienced technician can usually fit it on the day it arrives, keeping downtime to one business day.
- Supplied without the top case or frame, since the keyboard mounts into your existing ProBook body.
- Works with Windows 10 and Windows 11 using built-in drivers, with no extra software to install.
Kenya Use and Running Cost
- Priced at KSh 2,500, which works out to roughly KSh 7 per day across a full year of use.
- Same-day delivery across Nairobi means a dead cyber café station can earn again before closing time.
- Pay-on-arrival ordering lets small shops confirm the keyboard in hand before releasing any money.
- No backlight drawing power, so battery runtime during power cuts stays exactly as the original design allowed.
- Numeric keypad suits Lipa na M-Pesa till reconciliation and KRA iTax figure entry without extra hardware.
