The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 5,300, brand new and sealed, with two magnetic speaker units, Bluetooth 5.3, TWS stereo, RGB lights that sync with music and a charging case. Each unit puts out up to 8W, so the pair delivers about 16W across left and right channels, with up to 8 hours of play per charge. Budi, the accessory maker behind many of the chargers and cables we stock, built the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker for small rooms and desks. See it at the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for content creators, university students and young professionals across Kenya, the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker solves a familiar problem: one small speaker sounds flat, and two different speakers rarely play in step. The two units here are made to work as a true stereo pair. Stick one on each side of a fridge in a Kilimani apartment, or set them on a desk in a Strathmore hostel room, and music spreads across the space. The coloured lights pulse with the beat, which suits TikTok clips, birthday evenings and gaming sessions.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell twin speakers loose with no proper way to carry or charge them, Mascom International sells the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker with a case that charges both units and stands your phone upright. Customers across Nairobi tell us the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker becomes the talking point of the room once the lights come on. Two metal ring stickers in the box let the magnets hold on wood or plastic too. Test the pair at our Kimathi Street counter, or order on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker
How much does the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker cost in Kenya?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker costs KSh 5,300 brand new and sealed at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD. That buys both speaker units, the charging case, two metal ring stickers and a USB-A to USB-C cable. A 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties are included. It sits KSh 500 below the Budi SP18Y Bluetooth Speaker and KSh 2,500 above the Budi SP12B Bluetooth Speaker.
How do the two units of the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker stick to walls, desks and shelves?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker has strong magnets in the base of each unit, so it grips any steel surface on contact. Fridge doors, metal shelving, filing cabinets and steel window frames all hold it firmly. For wood, glass or plastic, peel and stick one of the two metal ring stickers from the box, and the magnet then holds on that ring. Keep the magnets away from bank and ATM cards, which magnets can damage.
What do the RGB lights on the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker actually do?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker has five-colour RGB lighting that changes in time with the music playing. RGB means red, green and blue light mixed into different colours. The effect works well for evening gatherings, gaming setups and creators filming short videos for TikTok or Instagram Reels in a Westlands studio flat. The lights draw some battery, so turning them off during long daytime listening helps each charge last closer to the 8-hour figure.
Which is better for a living room, the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker or the Budi SP18Y Bluetooth Speaker?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker gives you two magnetic units, RGB lights and a charging case for KSh 5,300. The Budi SP18Y Bluetooth Speaker is a single container-shaped box with a 4000mAh removable battery and about 10 hours of playtime for KSh 5,800. Both run Bluetooth 5.3. Pick the SP15B pair for stereo out of one box and lights for parties. Pick the SP18Y for longer playtime and a battery you can replace later.
How many hours of music does the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker give, and how does the case charge it?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker plays for up to 8 hours on a full charge, according to Budi's published figure. Actual hours drop at high volume or with the lights on. Both units and the case use USB-C ports. Drop the two speakers into the case, connect the case with the supplied USB-A to USB-C cable, and they charge together. Each unit can also be charged on its own through its USB-C port.
Can the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker charge from a laptop or car USB port during a blackout?
Yes, the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker charges from any USB-A port through the supplied cable, including laptops, power banks and many car dashboards. That matters during KPLC outages, when a power bank keeps the music running for a whole evening. Kenyan three-pin wall sockets work with any phone adapter that has a USB-A port. On a matatu or long drive to Eldoret, the car port keeps the pair topped up between stops.
Can the charging case of the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker hold my phone while I watch videos?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker case is dual-purpose: it charges both units and also works as a phone stand. Set your phone upright on it, place the two speakers left and right, and you get stereo sound for YouTube, Showmax or a Netflix series without holding the handset. This suits students watching lectures, sales teams reviewing videos on a desk in Upper Hill, and anyone following a recipe in the kitchen.
Who is the Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker made for, and who would be better served by another speaker?
The Budi SP15B Bluetooth Speaker suits students, creators and home listeners who want stereo from two small units, music-synced lights and a tidy case. It is not the best pick if you need a full day of play from one charge; the Budi SP18Y Bluetooth Speaker runs longer. Buyers who want something worn on the body should choose the Budi SP12B Bluetooth Speaker. Outdoor event hosts need a large party speaker with far more output.
Technical Specifications
Audio Hardware
- Two separate speaker units — each plays its own channel, giving true left and right stereo instead of one mono box.
- Up to 8W output per unit — about 16W from the pair, which fills a bedroom, office or small sitting room.
- Placement flexibility — spread the units across a room or a desk to widen the stereo image as you like.
- Clear speech as well as music — podcasts, sermons, lectures and video soundtracks all play through the same pair.
- Volume control from the phone — the media slider on your phone sets the level for both units together.
Wireless Connectivity
- Bluetooth 5.3 — a current Bluetooth generation with a steadier link and lower power draw than older 4.x versions.
- TWS (True Wireless Stereo) — the two units link to each other, then your phone connects to the pair as one.
- Up to 10 metres of range — about 33 feet in open space, so the phone can sit across a typical living room.
- Pairs with any Bluetooth device — Android phones, iPhones, tablets, Windows laptops and MacBooks connect from their Bluetooth menu.
- No app required — tap the speaker's name in Bluetooth settings and playback starts on both units.
Battery
- Up to 8 hours of playtime — Budi's stated figure for continuous playback on a full charge at moderate volume.
- Charging case refills both units — drop them in, plug in the case, and the pair charges together.
- USB-C ports on each unit and on the case — the same reversible connector most current Android phones use.
- USB-A to USB-C cable included — plugs into laptops, power banks, car ports and phone wall adapters.
- Lights affect runtime — switching off the RGB effect during daytime listening stretches each charge further.
Build and Durability
- Strong magnetic bases — each unit grips steel surfaces such as fridges, metal shelving, cabinets and window frames.
- Two metal ring stickers — fix them to wood, glass or plastic, and the magnetic units hold onto the rings.
- Dual-purpose case — protects and charges the pair in transit, then doubles as an upright phone stand.
- Compact units — each speaker measures about 8 by 7 by 4.5 centimetres, small enough for a handbag or backpack pocket.
- No published water rating — keep the pair indoors, away from rain, sinks and spilled drinks, and wipe dust off gently.
Controls and Inputs
- Five-colour RGB lighting — red, green and blue light mixed into colours that change in time with the music.
- Phone-side playback control — play, pause, skip and volume all work from the paired phone's music app.
- Pairing order — link the two units together first, then connect your phone; our staff demonstrate it at the counter.
- Streaming apps — Spotify, YouTube, Boomplay, Audiomack, Showmax and podcast apps all play through the pair.
- Charging inputs — USB-C on each unit and on the case, so one cable type covers the whole set.
