Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery stock is in at Mascom International, priced at KSh 3,200 for a brand new 10.8V 4400mAh replacement pack. The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery also replaces packs coded PA3537U and PABAS100, which Toshiba fitted to the same family of large laptops. It suits older 17-inch Satellite P200, P205, P300, P305, X200, X205, L350 and L355 models, along with the Satellite Pro P200, P300 and L350 and the Equium P200. Pick it up from the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or have it delivered.
Built for owners of large Toshiba machines that serve as the main computer at home or in the office, the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery suits accountants, estate agents, graphic designers on older software and families sharing one screen. A 17-inch Satellite often lives on a desk, so a dead battery goes unnoticed until the power drops. Then every KPLC outage switches the laptop off mid-task and risks corrupting open files. A fresh Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery acts as a built-in backup supply, keeping the screen alive long enough to save, finish a short task and shut down cleanly.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell any 10.8V pack that looks close, Mascom International confirms the exact code first. Send a clear WhatsApp photo of your old battery label or the model sticker under the laptop, or carry the machine to Kimathi Street so the team can check the fit. At Mascom International, we're seeing many owners of these large Satellites who assumed the laptop itself had failed, when a new battery was all it needed. Order the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery with pay-on-arrival delivery, or come in and match it in person.
Common Questions About the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery
How much does the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery cost in Kenya?
The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery sells for KSh 3,200 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, as a brand new 10.8V 4400mAh replacement pack. That figure includes a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects. It excludes a charger and fitting labour, but the team can check the fit at the counter when you bring the laptop. Delivery runs on pay-on-arrival terms across all 47 counties, so the pack is in your hands before any money changes hands.
Which Toshiba laptops does the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery fit?
The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery fits the 17-inch Satellite P200, P205, P300, P305, X200 and X205 series. It also suits the Satellite L350 and L355, the Satellite Pro P200, P300 and L350, and the Equium P200 and P300. Suffix models such as P200-1CB, X200-21D or L355-S7812 take the same pack. Since one series name can cover many builds, check the code on your old battery before ordering for a certain match.
Are the PA3536U and PA3537U batteries interchangeable?
Yes, PA3536U and PA3537U are two codes for the same Toshiba pack shape, connector and 10.8V rating, so the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery replaces either. Labels showing PA3536U-1BRS, PA3537U-1BRS or PABAS100 all point to this part. The different codes reflect different laptop builds and regions, not a different battery fit. If your label shows a number outside this list, send a photo to Mascom International on WhatsApp before buying, so you avoid a wasted trip.
How long will the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery run a 17-inch Satellite?
The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery stores about 47.5 watt-hours, worked out from its 10.8V and 4400mAh rating. Exact runtime depends on screen brightness, the processor and how worn the laptop's other parts are. A large 17-inch screen draws more power than a 15-inch one, so expect useful backup time rather than a full day. Dimming the screen and closing heavy programs stretches it further during an outage.
Should I choose the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery or the Toshiba Satellite C850 Laptop Battery?
Choose by laptop model, because these two 10.8V 4400mAh packs have different shapes and cannot swap. The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery fits older 17-inch Satellite P200, X200 and L350 machines, while the Toshiba Satellite C850 Laptop Battery fits the later Satellite C850, L850 and C55-A families. The C850 pack costs KSh 3,000, which is KSh 200 less. If your laptop says P200, P300, X200 or L350 on its sticker, this is the battery you need.
Is the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery useful in an office that faces KPLC outages?
Yes, a working Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery turns a 17-inch Satellite into a machine with its own backup power, which matters in Industrial Area and Westlands offices that lose power without warning. Without a battery, each blackout cuts the laptop off instantly and can damage unsaved spreadsheets or invoices. With one fitted, you have time to save and shut down. It is far cheaper than a separate UPS for a single laptop, though it will not power a printer or router.
Who should buy the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery, and who should skip it?
The Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery suits owners of a working 17-inch Satellite P200, P300, X200 or L350 whose only fault is a battery that no longer holds charge. Skip it if your Satellite is a 15-inch A200, A300 or L500 model, which takes the cheaper Toshiba PA3533U Laptop Battery. Skip it too if the laptop is too slow for your work now; a newer used business laptop will serve you longer than a fresh battery.
Can I order the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery from Kisumu or Mombasa without visiting?
Yes, upcountry buyers can order the Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery on WhatsApp and pay on arrival, with no trip to Nairobi needed. Send a photo of the label on your old pack or the sticker under the laptop, and Mascom International will confirm the match before dispatch. Kisumu and Mombasa orders arrive the next business day. When the rider arrives, compare the code on the new label with your old one before paying by cash or M-Pesa.
Technical Specifications
Cell and Capacity
- 10.8V nominal voltage, exactly what these 17-inch Toshiba laptops are built to draw, so charging and battery readings work as normal.
- 4400mAh rated capacity, about 47.5 watt-hours of stored energy, enough reserve to save work and shut down safely.
- Lithium-ion cells that take partial charges without losing capacity, so plugging in for ten minutes is never wasted.
- Brand new cells inside a new housing, giving the full rated capacity rather than the reduced figure of a used pack.
- A healthy battery also smooths out brief power dips, so the laptop keeps running when the mains flickers for a second.
Compatibility and Model Matching
- Replaces Toshiba codes PA3536U-1BRS, PA3537U-1BRS and PABAS100; the code sits on the label of your old battery.
- Fits Satellite P200, P205, P300 and P305 series, including suffix builds such as P200-1CB, P200D-11G and P305-S8822.
- Fits Satellite X200 and X205 entertainment laptops, plus the Satellite L350 and L355 and their D-suffix versions.
- Also fits Satellite Pro P200, P300 and L350 business models, and the Equium P200 and P300 sold in some markets.
- Not a match for the 15-inch PA3533U family or the later PA5024U packs used by the Satellite C850 range.
Build and Safety
- Moulded plastic housing shaped to the battery bay, so it locks flush with the base and stays steady on a desk.
- Protection circuitry, standard in lithium-ion laptop packs, shuts off current during overcharge, deep discharge or a short circuit.
- Clear label with voltage, capacity and part code, useful for checking the match before the pack goes into the laptop.
- Charged by the laptop itself through the normal Toshiba adapter, so there is no separate charger or cradle to buy.
- Keep large laptops on hard, flat surfaces so the cooling fan can move air; trapped heat shortens battery life.
Charging and Care
- Charge the pack to full on first fitting, then use the laptop normally on and off the mains.
- On a desk-bound laptop, run on battery for a while every week or two so the cells keep working.
- Store a spare or unused pack at about half charge, somewhere cool and dry, away from direct sun.
- Stop using any battery that bulges, leaks or heats up sharply, and bring it in for a technician to inspect.
- Runtime shrinks with high brightness and heavy programs, so dim the 17-inch screen when you need longer backup.
Inclusions
- One brand new Toshiba PA3536U Laptop Battery, ready for a matching Satellite P-series, X-series, L350 or Equium P200 laptop.
- No adapter in the package; compatible Toshiba laptop adapters are sold separately at Mascom International if yours has failed.
- The price does not cover fitting labour, but staff will check the fit when you bring the laptop in.
- The battery on these models is removable from underneath, so most owners can change it by hand with no tools.
- The printed code lets you verify the part against your old battery on delivery before you pay.
