Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band in Black is available at Mascom International for KSh 7,400, brand new and sealed, with single-lead ECG, heart rate and blood oxygen tracking, IP68 dust and water protection, Bluetooth 5.4 and up to 14 days of use per charge. The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band has no display at all. Every reading goes to the Porodo Fit app on your phone, and the data can be shared with Apple and Google health apps. It weighs 25g and pairs with Android 8.0 or later and iOS 12 or later. Collect yours from our showroom on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for people who want health data without another screen on the wrist, the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band suits lawyers, doctors, accountants and executives who already wear a classic watch to work. Many buyers keep a dress watch on one wrist and the band on the other. With no screen, nothing lights up during client meetings in Upper Hill or lectures at Strathmore. The missing display is also why the battery lasts far longer than a typical fitness watch. The band records sleep stages, stress through heart rate variability, steps and daily movement, and you review the trends when you choose.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell unbranded bands with vague sensor claims, Mascom International stocks the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band with a named Goodix ECG sensor and a 12-month warranty. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us they want fewer charging chores, and a band that runs close to two weeks between charges answers that directly. You can see the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band at our Old Mutual Building store, pair it with your own phone before paying, and leave with it working. If you cannot visit, we deliver with pay-on-arrival to every county.
Common Questions About the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band
How much is the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band in Kenya?
The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band costs KSh 7,400 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, factory sealed in Black. That price includes the 12-month warranty against manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya, so you inspect the band before paying in cash or by M-Pesa. It sits KSh 1,500 above Porodo's size 11 touch-control ring, also stocked at Mascom International. The extra money buys single-lead ECG, blood oxygen tracking and a much longer battery in a wrist format.
Does the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band take a real ECG reading?
The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band records a single-lead ECG through its Goodix GH3228T sensor and shows the trace in the Porodo Fit app. Single-lead means the band reads the heart's electrical signal along one path, the same principle used by ECG features on many wrist wearables. Its ECG, heart rate, blood oxygen, blood pressure and temperature readings are for wellness tracking, not diagnosis. If a reading worries you, see a doctor, and treat the band as a prompt for that visit rather than a replacement for it.
Should I buy the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band or a Porodo health ring?
Choose the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band if you want ECG and the longest time between charges, and choose Porodo's size 11 touch-control ring if you want something smaller. The band adds single-lead ECG and blood oxygen tracking, and lasts up to 14 days against the ring's 5 days. The ring costs KSh 5,900, tracks heart rate and body temperature, and adds touch control on the finger. People who lift weights often prefer the band, because a ring can press against a bar.
Will the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band cope with Kenyan heat, rain and power cuts?
The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band carries an IP68 rating, so dust, sweat and rain on a boda boda ride will not harm it. IP68 means the body is sealed against dust and protected against immersion in fresh water. Power cuts matter little, because one full charge takes about 2 hours and covers 12 to 14 days of normal use. Top it up whenever KPLC power is on, or from a power bank. It links to your phone over Bluetooth, so it behaves the same on Safaricom, Airtel Kenya or Telkom.
Who should buy the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band, and who should skip it?
Buy the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band if you want round-the-clock health trends without a screen, or if you already own a watch you love wearing. It is not for runners who want pace and live stats on the wrist mid-run, or for anyone who likes reading WhatsApp messages without lifting the phone. Those buyers are better served by a fitness watch with a display. Anyone who needs clinical heart monitoring should ask a cardiologist about a prescribed medical device instead.
How long does the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band battery last?
The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band runs 12 to 14 days of regular use on its 150mAh battery, and up to 20 days on standby. Porodo rates a full charge at about 2 hours on the pogo-pin charger, which clips onto metal contacts on the band. Frequent ECG checks and constant heart rate tracking draw more power, so heavy use shortens the gap between charges. A simple routine is to charge it every second weekend while you shower and dress.
Does the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band work with iPhone and Android phones?
Yes, the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band pairs with Android 8.0 or later and iOS 12 or later through the Porodo Fit app. That covers almost every phone sold in Kenya in recent years, from Tecno and Samsung models to iPhone. Readings can also flow into Apple and Google health apps, so your history sits beside data from other apps you use. At our Kimathi Street store we pair the band with your own phone before you pay, so you see it working.
Is the Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band comfortable to sleep in?
The Porodo TrackFit Apex Screenless Fitness Band weighs 25g and has no screen to glow in a dark bedroom, so it is easy to keep on overnight. It tracks sleep automatically, including REM stages, and the app shows a breakdown each morning. Sleep is where a screenless band earns its place, since you can wear it 24 hours a day without distraction. Morning HRV trends then show how well your body recovered, which helps you plan a hard workout or a lighter day.
Technical Specifications
Display and Data Viewing
- Screenless design — there is no display, so nothing lights up during meetings, worship or sleep.
- All readings appear in the Porodo Fit app, with charts covering days, weeks and months of history.
- Sleep, stress, step and heart charts update each time the band connects to your phone.
- No screen also means no glass display to crack or replace, a common repair cost on fitness watches.
- Checking data takes a deliberate glance at your phone, which suits people trying to cut screen time.
Health Sensors
- Goodix GH3228T sensor — the named chip that handles single-lead ECG and optical heart rate readings.
- Single-lead ECG — records the heart's electrical rhythm along one path and shows it as a trace.
- Heart rate and blood oxygen (SpO2) tracking — SpO2 shows how much oxygen your blood carries, useful for sleep trends.
- HRV stress monitoring — heart rate variability, the small timing changes between beats, gives a picture of daily stress.
- Body temperature and blood pressure monitoring, plus automatic sleep tracking with REM stages and all-day activity counts.
- SC7A20H motion sensor — an accelerometer that counts steps and picks up movement during the day and at night.
Battery and Charging
- 150mAh battery — rated by Porodo for 12 to 14 days of regular working use on one charge.
- Up to 20 days on standby — handy when the band sits unused in a bag during travel.
- About 2 hours for a full charge — one evening at home covers roughly the next two weeks.
- Pogo-pin charger — spring-loaded pins press onto metal contacts, so there is no open port to collect dust.
- Heavy use of ECG and continuous heart rate tracking draws more power and shortens the runtime.
Connectivity
- Bluetooth 5.4 — a recent Bluetooth version that keeps a steady, low-power link to your phone.
- Works with Android 8.0 and later and iOS 12 and later through the Porodo Fit app.
- Shares data with Apple and Google health apps, so records sit alongside other fitness data.
- JieLi 7073A8 chipset — the small processor that runs the sensors and manages the Bluetooth connection.
- 284K RAM and 1MB flash memory — onboard memory that runs the band's firmware and sensor routines.
Build and Durability
- IP68 rating — sealed against dust and protected against immersion in fresh water, so sweat and rain pose no problem.
- Stainless steel, ABS plastic and IML glass construction — metal and tough plastic finished with an in-mould glass layer.
- 25g weight — light enough to forget on the wrist through work, workouts and sleep.
- Black finish — understated enough to wear beside a dress watch or with office clothes.
- The screenless body has fewer fragile parts than a fitness watch, leaving little to break in a fall.
