Porodo TV Stick 4K | 2GB RAM | 16GB Storage | Android 14 | Google Assistant Voice Remote | White
Hides behind your screen and turns a basic set into a full home cinema in minutes.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
The Porodo TV Stick 4K, with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, Android 14 and a white finish, is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 7,100 and brand new and sealed. The Porodo TV Stick 4K plugs straight into your television's HDMI port, runs a quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor with Mali-G31 graphics, and outputs 4K at 60 frames per second. Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 links it to your router, and a Bluetooth voice remote with Google Assistant handles search. You can watch it working on a screen at our shop in the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for renters, young professionals and hotel or guesthouse owners, the Porodo TV Stick 4K handles Netflix, YouTube, Showmax and music apps on a TV that has no app store. Many flats in Westlands, Mombasa and Eldoret have wall-mounted screens with no shelf below them. A box needs a spot to sit; the stick hangs from the HDMI port and stays out of sight. Moving house or travelling to a lodge in Naivasha? Pull it out, drop it in a bag and plug it into the next TV. Voice search saves you from typing long titles with arrow keys.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell unbranded sticks with no paperwork, Mascom International stocks the Porodo TV Stick 4K with a written warranty and a counter in Nairobi CBD. Buyers throughout Kenya report that a tidy setup with no extra cables matters more to them than spare ports. If you want Ethernet or a memory card slot instead, the questions below compare it with the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box at KSh 7,500. Visit the store to try the Porodo TV Stick 4K, or order on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the Porodo TV Stick 4K
What is the Porodo TV Stick 4K 2GB 16GB price in Kenya?
The Porodo TV Stick 4K with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage costs KSh 7,100, brand new, at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. The price includes a 12-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties across Kenya. It sits KSh 400 below the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box, which we also stock. That gap buys the box an Ethernet port, a microSD slot and a USB port, so pick the stick when a hidden, cable-free setup matters more than extra connections.
Is the Porodo TV Stick 4K better than the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box?
The Porodo TV Stick 4K is the better choice for wall-mounted TVs and travel, while the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box suits wired internet and memory cards. Both run Android 14 with 2GB RAM, 16GB storage, dual-band Wi-Fi and Google Assistant voice search. The stick plugs directly into HDMI, needs no shelf space and costs KSh 400 less. The box adds Ethernet, a microSD slot for cards up to 64GB, USB and AV output, but it sits visibly beside the television.
Does the Porodo TV Stick 4K work well on Safaricom and Airtel home internet?
The Porodo TV Stick 4K streams over any home Wi-Fi in Kenya, including Safaricom Home Fibre, Airtel 5G home internet and Zuku. Its dual-band Wi-Fi 6 radio joins the 5GHz band near the router for faster streams, or 2.4GHz in a far bedroom. The stick has no Ethernet port, so a router in the same room or a mesh point helps on large compounds. 4K video needs a fast plan; slower bundles stream better with apps set to HD to save data.
How do I set up the Porodo TV Stick 4K on my television?
Setting up the Porodo TV Stick 4K takes a few minutes: plug it into an HDMI port, connect power, then follow the on-screen steps. Pick your Wi-Fi network, sign in with a Google account and download the apps you use. The stick draws 5V at 2A, so a USB power adapter or a TV USB port that supplies that much works. Customers across Nairobi call our team on WhatsApp when a TV shows no signal, and the fix is usually choosing the right HDMI input.
Can the Porodo TV Stick 4K run apps like Netflix and YouTube?
Yes, the Porodo TV Stick 4K runs Android 14, so popular streaming apps such as Netflix and YouTube install and play on it. The 16GB of storage holds the usual mix of video, music, news and kids' apps for a household. You can pay for subscriptions with M-Pesa through each service's own website or app, then sign in on the stick. Storage cannot be expanded with a memory card, so families who download many films offline should consider the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box.
Is the Porodo TV Stick 4K good for hotels, Airbnbs and guest rooms?
The Porodo TV Stick 4K suits short-stay rentals because it hides behind the screen and guests cannot easily knock it off a shelf. Airbnb hosts in Kilimani and along the Diani coast use streaming sticks to offer Netflix and YouTube without paying for a cable package. Hosts can sign out of a guest's streaming accounts after checkout, and a voice remote is easier for visitors than typing. Hosts with several rooms can order multiple units on one WhatsApp request with pay-on-arrival delivery.
Who should buy the Porodo TV Stick 4K, and who should skip it?
Buy the Porodo TV Stick 4K if you want the neatest possible setup, move house often, or have a wall-mounted TV with no space below. Students heading to Strathmore or USIU hostels get a full app library for KSh 7,100 that fits in a pocket. Skip it if your router is far from the TV and you need a cable connection, or you play films from flash drives; the Porodo Echobox 4K Android TV Box handles both. Console gamers need a PlayStation instead.
How much power does the Porodo TV Stick 4K use during KPLC outages?
The Porodo TV Stick 4K runs on a 5V, 2A supply, which is a small load for a home UPS or power bank setup. If your TV and router stay on backup power during a KPLC cut, the stick keeps streaming as long as the internet holds. When power returns after an outage, it restarts and reconnects to your saved Wi-Fi without new setup steps. A surge protector on the TV socket also protects the stick, since both share the same electrical point.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Streaming Performance
- Quad-core ARM Cortex-A53 processor — four processing cores share the work of loading apps, decoding video and running the menus.
- Mali-G31 graphics with OpenGL ES 3.2 — keeps the home screen and app menus responsive on a large 4K television.
- 4K output at 60 frames per second — sharp, fluid video on a 4K TV whenever the streaming app and your plan allow it.
- Android 14 operating system — a recent Android release, so current versions of popular streaming apps install without trouble.
- Built-in Google Assistant — say a film, series or artist name into the remote and results appear on screen in seconds.
- Plug-and-play design — no drivers or technical steps beyond connecting Wi-Fi and signing in to your accounts.
Compatibility and Connectivity
- HDMI connector — plugs directly into any TV, monitor or projector with an HDMI port, no separate video cable needed.
- Works on non-app televisions — gives older LED and LCD screens from any brand a full Android app library.
- Dual-band Wi-Fi 6 (802.11 b/g/n/ac/ax) — chooses between the faster 5GHz band and the longer-range 2.4GHz band for your room.
- Bluetooth 5.0 — links the voice remote to the stick, so you can point it anywhere in the room rather than at the TV.
- Sound passes through HDMI — audio plays through the TV speakers or a connected soundbar with no extra wiring.
Build, Memory and Storage
- 2GB DDR3 RAM — working memory that holds one streaming app open with a couple more paused for quick switching.
- 16GB internal storage — room for the system and a typical household set of streaming, music and kids' apps.
- Stick form factor — hangs from the HDMI port out of view, ideal for wall-mounted screens with no stand or shelf.
- White casing — a clean finish that stays discreet even when the TV sits on a light-coloured wall.
- DC 5V/2A power input — a low power need that suits backup power setups and keeps running costs minimal.
Inclusions and Everyday Use
- Bluetooth voice remote — controls the stick and starts Google Assistant search with one button press.
- Portable size — slips into a laptop bag for hotel stays, family visits upcountry or a move to a new flat.
- Account sign-in on screen — log in to each streaming service you already pay for and pick up where you stopped.
- Quick restart after power returns — the stick reconnects to your saved Wi-Fi network without fresh setup.
- Recent Android base — Android 14 keeps the stick compatible with current app versions for longer than older sticks.
Package Contents
The Porodo TV Stick 4K comes brand new and sealed in Porodo retail packaging. Inside is the white streaming stick and its Bluetooth voice remote with Google Assistant. Because the stick draws 5V at 2A, use a USB power adapter rated at 2A or higher; Mascom International can add a compatible adapter or HDMI extension cable to your order if your TV's ports sit tight against the wall. Ask on WhatsApp for the full box contents of the unit in stock.

The Porodo TV Stick 4K ships with a 12-month warranty through Mascom International, covering manufacturing defects under normal use. Cover applies to the stick and its voice remote.
