NHL 25 is in stock at Mascom International for KSh 5,500, brand new and sealed as the PS5 Physical Disc Standard Edition. Published by EA Sports, NHL 25 carries New Jersey Devils centre Jack Hughes on the cover. It runs on ICE-Q, the gameplay intelligence system that reworked skating, reactions and CPU teammates for this edition. The title launched on October 4, 2024, for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles only, leaving older machines behind. Collect your copy at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order NHL 25 for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.

NHL 25 suits three kinds of players. Newcomers who have only watched highlights get NHL Arcade, NHL Arcade Plus and NHL Frenzy, quick modes back for the first time since 2017. Couch rivals get full matches where a second controller turns one PS5 into a weekend league. PlayStation lounge operators in Rongai, Kasarani and Umoja get a sports title beyond football that keeps customers paying for another round. Most hockey releases punish beginners with a steep learning curve. NHL 25 eases that curve through its arcade modes while keeping Franchise and club play deep enough for regulars.

Where most Nairobi electronics shops carry only football titles, Mascom International keeps sealed NHL discs beside PS5 consoles, controllers and storage. At KSh 5,500, NHL 25 costs KSh 1,900 less than the NHL 24 disc we also stock, which makes it the sensible starting point for most buyers. Customers across Nairobi tell us they prefer a disc they can lend, trade or resell once the season ends, something a download never allows. Walk in Monday through Saturday, 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM, to inspect the seal before paying. You can also order NHL 25 by WhatsApp today.

Common Questions About the NHL 25

How much is the NHL 25 PS5 disc in Kenya?

NHL 25 costs KSh 5,500 at Mascom International in Nairobi, brand new and sealed as the PS5 Physical Disc Standard Edition. That price includes the 6-month disc warranty described below and pay-on-arrival delivery, so you settle by M-Pesa or cash only when the parcel reaches you. The NHL 24 disc sits at KSh 7,400 on our shelf, KSh 1,900 more, because sealed stock of the older title is scarcer. If value matters most to you, NHL 25 is the copy to buy.

NHL 25 vs NHL 24: which one should you buy?

NHL 25 is the better buy for most players at Mascom International, because it is both newer and cheaper. It launched on October 4, 2024, against October 6, 2023, for NHL 24, and it costs KSh 5,500 against KSh 7,400. NHL 25 runs on ICE-Q, which rebuilt skating and CPU decision-making, while NHL 24 centres on the Exhaust Engine with its pressure and goalie-fatigue systems. Choose NHL 24 only if that earlier pressure-driven style is specifically what you want.

What does ICE-Q actually change in NHL 25?

ICE-Q is the gameplay intelligence system EA built for NHL 25, and it changes how every skater on the ice moves and decides. Next-Gen Vision Control modernises skating, the first difference returning players notice. Reactive Action animations let players respond to hits and loose pucks in the moment rather than finishing a preset move. CPU players also received a major reliability and accuracy upgrade. For you, that means AI partners who make fewer obvious mistakes when they fill empty spots in World of Chel.

Will the NHL 25 disc work on a PlayStation 5 Pro or a Digital Edition console?

The NHL 25 disc plays on any PS5 with a disc drive attached, including the original disc model and the PlayStation 5 Slim disc version. The PlayStation 5 Pro and both Digital Edition consoles ship without a built-in drive, so they need the detachable Disc Drive for PS5 before installing. Ask Mascom International on WhatsApp whether the drive is in stock when you order. After install, expect a game update download, which runs comfortably on Safaricom Home Fibre.

Can you play NHL 25 without internet or during a power cut?

Yes, NHL 25 runs Franchise, Be a Pro and quick matches offline once the disc has installed. HUT and World of Chel are online modes that need an EA account, an internet connection and PlayStation Plus on PS5. KPLC outages are the bigger risk, because a sudden cut while the console is saving can damage a save file. A UPS from Mascom International keeps the PS5 running long enough to save and shut down properly during a long Franchise season.

Is NHL 25 a good choice if you are new to ice hockey?

NHL 25 is a friendly entry point, because NHL Arcade, NHL Arcade Plus and NHL Frenzy offer short, simplified matches before you face full rules. Kenya has its own ice hockey story as well: the Kenya Ice Lions, the national team, train at the Panari Sky Centre rink on Mombasa Road. The ESRB rates NHL 25 E10+ for mild violence, so it suits most children aged 10 and above. Start in an arcade mode, then move to full matches once passing feels natural.

Can two people play NHL 25 on one PS5?

Yes, NHL 25 supports local matches on a single PS5, so a second controller turns one console into a head-to-head setup for friends or siblings. The PS5 DualSense Controller is sold separately at Mascom International, and buying it with the disc keeps both items on one pay-on-arrival delivery. Couch matches work offline, with no PlayStation Plus needed. The Grudge Match System also tracks competitive history between teams, which gives repeat rivalries in your living room a running storyline.

Who should buy NHL 25, and who should skip it?

Buy NHL 25 if you own a disc-equipped PS5, want a hockey title at KSh 5,500, and value dependable CPU teammates in club modes. Skip it if you still play on a PS4, because NHL 25 never released on that console. Skip it too if only this season's rosters matter to you, and ask Mascom International on WhatsApp whether NHL 26 is in stock. Players who prefer heavy hits and goalie fatigue may favour the NHL 24 disc, at KSh 1,900 more. Football-first players are better served by EA SPORTS FC.

Technical Specifications

Gameplay Systems and On-Ice Intelligence

ICE-Q gameplay intelligence system sits at the core, shaping how every skater reads the play and reacts to it.
Next-Gen Vision Control is the refreshed skating model, part of the ICE-Q package introduced with this edition.
Reactive Action animations let skaters respond to hits and loose pucks as they happen, not after canned moves.
CPU player reliability and accuracy received a major upgrade, cutting frustration when AI skaters fill your lines.
CPU player movement in World of Chel was overhauled, aimed at the AI skaters who fill empty club spots.
Grudge Match System tracks competitive history between teams, giving repeat fixtures a story beyond the final score.

Game Modes and Replay Value

Franchise returns with a revamped hub and streamlined navigation, so running a club across seasons takes fewer menus.
Be a Pro follows one player's career, suited to fans who prefer controlling a single skater over whole lines.
HUT, EA's card-based team builder, adds Wildcard Mode with unique rulesets that change how each match plays.
Squad Battles, Rivals and Wild Card XP now feed one progression path, so time in any HUT mode counts.
World of Chel delivers online club hockey with your own custom skater and an expanded Live Event schedule.
NHL Arcade, NHL Arcade Plus and NHL Frenzy return for the first time since 2017, offering shorter, simpler matches.

Platform and Console Compatibility

Built for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles only; this PS5 disc does not run on a PS4 or any Xbox.
Plays straight away on the original PS5 disc model and the PlayStation 5 Slim disc version.
The PlayStation 5 Pro and both Digital Edition consoles need the detachable Disc Drive for PS5 attached first.
The disc stays in the tray whenever you play, acting as the licence for the installed game data.
Installed data lives on the console's internal SSD, so clear some free space before inserting the disc.
PS5 game discs carry no region lock, so consoles imported from Dubai or the UK read this copy normally.

Online Play and Updates

HUT and World of Chel need an internet connection, an EA account and an active PlayStation Plus membership.
Cross-play in certain modes matches you against same-generation players on Xbox Series consoles, widening the opponent pool.
Game updates download after install and bring the fixes and content changes released since the 2024 launch.
Offline modes, including Franchise and local head-to-head matches, run without a connection after the disc installs.
Some offers and in-game rewards require an internet connection and an EA account, according to EA's own terms.
