Pause to add forgotten items mid-cycle, soak stubborn grime, and set the end time to match your evening return home.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Mascom International stocks the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load at KSh 40,800, brand new and sealed, in a Titanium Crystal Grey cabinet. Inside sits a 9kg stainless steel drum driven by a durable, low-noise universal motor. The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load runs eight programmes, including Normal, Intensive, Delicate and a dedicated Tub Clean cycle. Two water inlets let it draw from hot and cold supplies, and Memory Backup resumes a wash after a blackout. See it at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Families with school-going children feel the pressure of laundry most on Sunday evenings. Uniforms, games kits and church clothes all need washing before Monday morning. The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load clears that pile in fewer rounds than an 8kg machine, and its Soak setting loosens red-soil stains from playground knees. Pause and Add lets you drop in a sock found under the bed after the cycle starts. Delay End schedules the finish, so damp clothes do not sit in the drum while parents are still at work in Industrial Area or Upper Hill.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops stop at phones and laptops, Mascom International also carries a full Hisense laundry range, from twin tubs to 17kg top loaders. That range lets you compare the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load against its siblings side by side before choosing. Buyers throughout Kenya tell us the 9kg size is the point where a family stops running a second load every evening. Pay by M-Pesa when the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load reaches your gate, or carry it home from our Kimathi Street store. Our staff will explain every programme before you decide.
Common Questions About the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load
What does the extra KSh 3,300 over the WT1D8021UT 8kg actually buy?
The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load gives you one extra kilogram per cycle, plus Pause and Add, a Soak option and dual water inlets. Spread over a year, the KSh 3,300 difference works out to roughly KSh 9 per day. For a family that washes most days, one extra kilogram per load means fewer cycles each week. That saves water, detergent and time. Couples with light laundry gain less and can stay with the 8kg model. Families who add relatives' clothing to the weekly load feel the difference quickly.
Does the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load fit a small Kenyan kitchen or balcony?
The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load measures 532mm wide, 532mm deep and 920mm tall, so it fits most apartment kitchens and service balconies. Measure the gap before ordering, and leave extra room above the cabinet for the lid to swing open. Many Kilimani and South B apartments put the washer beside the sink, which keeps both the tap and the drain hose within easy reach. A flat, level floor also matters, because an uneven tile surface makes any top loader rock during spin.
Can the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load use warm water from a solar heater?
Yes, the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load has two water inlets, so it can connect to both a hot and a cold supply. Homes with a rooftop solar water heater can feed warm water into the hot inlet. Warm water helps detergent dissolve and lifts greasy kitchen stains better than cold water alone. Where only a cold tap exists, connect that inlet and the washer still runs every programme normally. Mascom International can advise on the right hose length when you call us before delivery.
Will the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load lose its progress during a KPLC blackout?
No, Memory Backup stores the active programme, and Auto Restart resumes the cycle on its own once the supply returns. You will not find a drum of half-washed clothes waiting for a manual restart. That matters in estates where evening outages are frequent. Pair the washer with a surge-protected wall socket for extra peace of mind, since sudden voltage spikes can stress any appliance's electronics after a blackout. The same protection covers Airtel and Safaricom home internet routers sharing that wall.
Does the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load have an inverter motor?
No, the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load uses a universal motor, which Hisense describes as durable and low in noise. Universal motors are proven, simple to service and common across affordable top loaders. Buyers who specifically want an inverter drive should ask Mascom International about current stock before ordering. For most households, the motor type matters less than drum size, programmes and reliable after-sales support close to home. Mascom International handles that support directly from Kimathi Street rather than sending you to a distant service centre.
Which programmes does the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load include?
The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load includes eight programmes: Normal, Quick, Eco, Delicate, Intensive, Air Dry, Spin and Tub Clean. Normal suits everyday mixed loads, while Intensive tackles muddy sports kits and work overalls. Air Dry pushes extra moisture out of clothes, which helps during the cold, damp July weather in Nairobi. Spin alone is useful for hand-washed items that still need wringing out quickly. Quick refreshes lightly worn office wear, and Eco trims water use on small loads.
Is the WSRB113W 11kg twin tub a better buy than the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load?
The WSRB113W 11kg twin tub costs KSh 31,000, which is KSh 9,800 less and holds two more kilograms. The trade-off is labour, because you fill it by hand and move clothes between tubs yourself. The Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load runs every stage without supervision. Choose the twin tub for big loads on irregular water, and the fully automatic model if your time matters more. Both machines are stocked at Mascom International, so you can compare their tubs, lids and controls in person.
Who should buy the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load, and who should skip it?
Buy the Hisense WT3K9022UB 9kg Top Load if you are a family with children, or a household that washes bedding every week. Skip it if you live alone with a light wardrobe, because the WT1D8021UT 8kg saves you KSh 3,300. Large households washing duvets and curtains regularly should step up to the WT3K1123UB 11kg at KSh 47,000, which handles bulky items in one load. Homes with unreliable water pressure, where taps run dry for days, are better served by a hand-filled Hisense twin tub such as the WSRB143W 13.5kg at KSh 37,500.
Technical Specifications

- 9kg dry load capacity clears a week of school uniforms and games kits in fewer evening rounds.
- Stainless steel drum resists rust and holds up to years of hard water found in many Kenyan towns.
- Cabinet measures 532mm by 532mm wide and deep, fitting narrow apartment kitchens and service balconies.
- Height of 920mm sits close to standard counter level, making loading and unloading easy on your back.
- Top-loading access means no crouching, which suits older family members and anyone with knee discomfort.
- Titanium Crystal Grey cabinet hides splashes and dust better than white, keeping the machine looking newer.
Programme Selection
- Eight programmes cover daily laundry, fragile fabrics, heavy soiling and drum maintenance from one selector.
- Normal programme handles everyday mixed loads of shirts, trousers and towels without extra adjustment.
- Intensive programme gives muddy football kits and workshop overalls the longer agitation they need.
- Delicate programme reduces drum movement, protecting chiffon blouses, lace and knitted school sweaters.
- Air Dry programme pushes out extra moisture, helping clothes dry faster during cold, overcast weather.
- Quick and Eco programmes cut time or resource use when loads are only lightly worn.
Water Supply and Temperature
- Dual water inlets connect to both hot and cold taps, giving you warm, hot or cold wash options.
- Warm water from a rooftop solar heater helps detergent dissolve fully and lifts oily kitchen stains.
- Automatic sensors set the water level to match each load, so small washes do not waste water.
- Soak option holds clothes in water before washing, loosening dried mud and food stains first.
- Bleach support lets you add whitening agent for white school shirts and hospital or salon linens.
- Hot water option helps sanitise baby clothes, kitchen towels and bedding when a heated supply is connected.
Motor and Wash Action
- Universal motor is described by Hisense as durable and quiet, suiting apartments with shared walls.
- Bubble Clean technology mixes detergent into foam, helping it reach deep into thick fabric fibres.
- Stainless drum surface treats fabrics gently, reducing pilling on sweaters and bobbling on fleece blankets.
- Spin programme runs on its own to extract water from hand-washed garments in minutes.
- Tub Clean programme washes the drum itself, stopping mould and stale odours from building up.
- Rinse stage clears leftover detergent from fabrics, which helps prevent stiff towels and itchy school jerseys.
Convenience Controls
- Pause and Add lets you stop the cycle and drop in forgotten items without draining the drum.
- Delay End schedules the wash to finish when you get home, so clothes never sit damp.
- Door damper slows the lid as it closes, preventing slams and protecting small fingers.
- Automatic water and time settings remove guesswork for house helps or teenagers new to the machine.
- Fully automatic sequence runs fill, wash, rinse and spin without anyone standing beside the machine.
- Soak setting adds a pre-wash stage you can switch on only for heavily stained loads.
Power Interruption Protection
- Memory Backup stores the active programme and all its settings at the moment power is lost.
- Auto Restart resumes the cycle on its own once electricity returns, with no button press needed.
- Protection against lost cycles saves water and detergent that a full restart would otherwise waste.
- A surge-protected socket is still recommended to shield the electronics from spikes after outages.
- Sealed factory packaging guarantees the motor and control board have never been run before purchase.
