Pale or orange-looking reds almost always mean magenta is low, or a refilled cartridge is feeding toner unevenly. Check the supplies page on the printer panel first. No manual step is required in most cases. The M251 and M276 run an automatic colour calibration after a new cartridge is installed, which takes about one minute. If colours still look off, run "Calibrate Now" from the printer menu. Print one test flyer before starting a large batch. That habit catches problems early and saves paper. Calibration uses a small amount of each colour, so avoid running it repeatedly without reason. Once per cartridge change is normally enough.

The correct code is CF213A, printed on the box end panel and on the cartridge label. Some price lists shorten it to CF213, but the full part number always ends in "A". Your printer's supplies status page also lists the required code for each slot. Note that in this family, magenta is CF213A and yellow is CF212A, so the numbers do not follow colour order. Keep it sealed in the new cartridge's foil bag and box to prevent toner dust spilling in your office. Do not burn it or throw it into open refuse, since toner powder is flammable and irritates the lungs. HP runs a cartridge return programme in several markets, though collection points in Kenya vary.
