The 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 5,000, and measures exactly 540mm wide by 320mm high. That makes it a taller sheet than our other 24-inch filter, cut for 24-inch monitors whose lit area is close to those dimensions. It arrives brand new and sealed, unbranded and black. The 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm keeps the screen clear for the user facing it and dark from about 30 degrees off centre on either side. Mascom International fits it free at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for finance managers, procurement officers, HR leads and estate agents, the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm handles a familiar risk in Kenyan workplaces. Shared offices in Westlands and Industrial Area often seat several people at one bench, and supplier reps or tenants drop in unannounced. Tender figures, rent ledgers and staff appraisals then sit in plain view. Once the filter is on, the person at the keyboard reads everything as usual, and anyone at the side sees a dark rectangle. The anti-glare face also helps on desks facing the bright afternoon windows typical of Nairobi office blocks.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops stock a single 24-inch size and hope it fits, Mascom International carries two 24-inch cuts and fits the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm at the Kimathi Street counter as part of the price. Customers across Nairobi tell us that matching the exact millimetres is what makes a filter sit flat and stay put. Bring the monitor in and we will measure it before fitting. Prefer delivery? Order the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm on WhatsApp, pay on arrival, and attach it with the supplied tabs.
Common Questions About the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm
How much does the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm cost in Kenya?
The 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm costs KSh 5,000, brand new, at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. The price includes the sheet, mounting tabs, a cleaning cloth, free fitting at our Kimathi Street counter and a 6-month warranty. Delivery is pay-on-arrival anywhere in Kenya. The 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 531 x 298mm sells for the same KSh 5,000, while the 27-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 598 x 337mm costs KSh 6,000, which is KSh 1,000 more.
Which 24-inch filter do I need: 540 x 320mm or 531 x 298mm?
Pick the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm when your lit screen measures about 540mm wide and 320mm high, and the 531 x 298mm sheet when it measures close to that size. The 540 x 320mm sheet is 9mm wider and 22mm taller, so it suits monitors with a taller picture. Both cost KSh 5,000 at Mascom International and use identical film and tabs. A 22mm height gap is too large to ignore, so measure the height carefully before you choose.
How do I measure my monitor for the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm?
Switch the monitor on and measure only the glowing picture area, leaving out the black plastic border. Run a tape across the width, then from top to bottom of the lit area, and write both figures in millimetres. Readings near 540 x 320mm mean the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm is the right sheet. If the height comes out nearer 298mm, choose our other 24-inch cut. WhatsApp the figures to +254 708 852 521 and our team will confirm the match.
Will the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm hide my screen from someone behind me?
No, the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm blocks side views, not a person looking straight over your shoulder. The micro-louver film turns the picture dark beyond roughly 30 degrees left or right of centre, which covers colleagues at neighbouring desks and visitors beside you. Someone standing directly behind you sees roughly what you see. For full cover, place your desk so its back faces a wall, or angle the monitor away from walkways and doorways.
Can the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm stay on during KPLC power cuts and generator switchovers?
Yes, the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm is a passive sheet with no electronics, so power cuts, surges and generator changeovers cannot affect it. It needs no power, drivers or software of any kind. When KPLC supply drops and your UPS or generator takes over, the filter simply stays in place on its tabs. It also adds no heat to the monitor, which matters in warm offices in Mombasa and Garissa where screens already run hot through the afternoon.
Who should buy the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm, and who should skip it?
Buy the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm if your 24-inch monitor measures close to 540 x 320mm and you handle budgets, contracts or personal data near other people. Procurement teams, property managers and HR officers get the most from it. Skip it if your monitor's picture is only about 298mm tall, because the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 531 x 298mm fits that shape. Skip it too if you work at a 27-inch monitor; the 27-inch filters in our range suit those screens.
Does the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm affect touchscreen use?
The 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm is meant for standard non-touch monitors, and Mascom International does not promise touch response through it. The sheet sits in front of the panel on bezel tabs, so on a touch-enabled monitor it would come between your finger and the glass. Most 24-inch office monitors in Kenya are not touchscreens, so this rarely matters. If yours is, send us the model on WhatsApp before ordering and we will advise you honestly.
How long does the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm take to fit at Mascom International?
Fitting the 24-inch Monitor Privacy Filter 540 x 320mm at our Kimathi Street counter is quick, and you can wait while a technician does it. The work involves measuring the lit area, cleaning the bezel, attaching the slim tabs and seating the sheet. There is no curing time, because no glue touches the screen. Bring the monitor with its power cable so we can switch it on and show you the side blackout working before you leave the store.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Privacy Performance
- Micro-louver privacy layer — fine internal slats direct the screen's light forward, so content reads clearly only from in front.
- Readable cone of about 60 degrees — beyond roughly 30 degrees off centre on either side, the display appears dark to onlookers.
- Left and right coverage — blocks viewers on both sides at once, useful at shared benches and reception counters with traffic both ways.
- Glare-cutting matte face — softens reflections from windows and lighting, so spreadsheets stay easy to read through bright afternoons.
- Small front dimming — louver film trims some brightness head-on; nudging the monitor's brightness up a step or two restores comfort.
- Removable whenever needed — lifts off for team reviews or presentations and slides back on before private work resumes.
- Suited to open benches — procurement, finance and HR staff can keep tender figures and appraisals private while sitting elbow to elbow with others.
Compatibility and Sizing
- Exact sheet size 540 x 320mm — cut to sit over a 24-inch monitor whose lit area measures close to those figures.
- Taller than our other 24-inch cut — 22mm more height and 9mm more width than the 531 x 298mm sheet.
- Measure the lit area — tape the width and height of the glowing picture with the monitor on, excluding the plastic frame.
- Landscape use for side privacy — turning the monitor to portrait rotates the blocking to top and bottom instead.
- Standard non-touch monitors — the sheet sits in front of the panel, so it suits regular office displays rather than touchscreens.
- WhatsApp fit check — send your measurements or the rear model label, and our team confirms the correct sheet before payment.
- Any video connection — because the sheet is passive, it works the same whether the monitor runs from HDMI, DisplayPort or VGA.
Build and Finish
- Black colour — matches the black bezels found on most office monitors, so the fitted filter looks tidy on any desk.
- Bezel tab mount — slim tabs attach to the frame only, so no adhesive ever touches the display surface.
- Clean removal — lifts away without residue, leaving leased or company-owned monitors in their original condition.
- Front guard — takes the dust, fingerprints and light knocks that would otherwise land on the monitor's own panel.
- Matte, low-smudge face — shows fewer prints than glossy film and wipes clean with the cloth supplied in the pack.
- Passive sheet — no electronics, power or software, so it works the same through power cuts and generator changeovers.
- Flat storage when off — keep the sheet in a document folder or drawer while it is removed, so the film does not bend or crease.
Inclusions and Service
