Persona 5 is available at Mascom International for KSh 4,500 as a brand new and sealed PS4 disc, ready for collection or delivery today. Developed by Atlus, Persona 5 is a turn-based Japanese role-playing game set in modern Tokyo. You play a transferred student who joins a group called the Phantom Thieves. The disc plays on any PS4, PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro, and on a PS5 with a disc drive. Mascom International stocks Persona 5 at our shop in the Old Mutual Building on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for story lovers, anime fans and university students across Kenya, Persona 5 rewards patient players who enjoy long campaigns. Many PS4 owners finish their action games in a weekend and then have nothing new to play. Persona 5 solves that with a calendar system that splits each day between school, part-time jobs, friendships and dungeon raids. A single run can last weeks of evenings, which suits a student in a Kenyatta or JKUAT hostel sharing one console. The battles are turn-based, so you plan each move instead of relying on fast reflexes, and you can pause whenever dinner is ready.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell loose or pre-owned discs with scratched cases, Mascom International sells Persona 5 factory sealed, with a written warranty on the disc. This is the original release, not Persona 5 Royal, and we say so plainly so you buy the edition you want. Customers across Nairobi tell us they come for one game and leave with a clear answer about which version fits their budget. Pay with M-Pesa when the order reaches you, or walk into our Kimathi Street shop and pick up your copy of Persona 5 the same day.
Common Questions About the Persona 5
How much is Persona 5 for PS4 in Kenya?
Persona 5 for PS4 costs KSh 4,500 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and factory sealed. That price covers the physical disc in its original case and a 6-month warranty against disc defects. Delivery is pay-on-arrival across Kenya, so you can check the seal before you hand over cash or M-Pesa. Because the story runs for weeks of evenings, the cost per hour of play stays low compared with short action games.
What is the difference between Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal?
Persona 5 Royal is an expanded re-release of Persona 5 with extra story, a new party member and more endings. Royal adds Kasumi as a playable character, a third semester with a new Palace, the Kichijoji district, a grappling hook for dungeons, Showtime team attacks and about 30 new music tracks. The original Persona 5 tells the complete main story without those additions and usually costs less. Pick Royal if you want the most content; pick Persona 5 if you want the core story at a lower price.
Will Persona 5 play on a PS5 in Kenya?
Yes, the Persona 5 PS4 disc runs on a PS5 through backward compatibility, as long as the console has a disc drive. A standard PS5 reads the disc directly. A PS5 Digital Edition needs the separate disc drive attached first. Your PS4 save files can also move to the PS5 through the console's data transfer or cloud storage with PS Plus. Many buyers in Nairobi keep their PS4 game library when they upgrade, and this disc stays useful on both machines.
How do KPLC power cuts affect saving progress in Persona 5?
Persona 5 saves only at safe rooms in dungeons and at certain points in the daily calendar, not at any moment. A KPLC outage in the middle of a long Palace run can wipe out the progress since your last save. The habit that works is simple: save at every safe room you pass. A small UPS for the PS4 gives you a few minutes to reach a safe room and save before shutting down. Mascom International stocks UPS units if outages hit your area often.
Does Persona 5 need an internet connection or PS Plus?
No, Persona 5 is a single-player game and plays fully offline without PS Plus or a home fibre line. The whole story, every dungeon and every battle sits on the disc. An internet connection only matters for downloading game patches or optional add-on content from the PlayStation Store. If you have Safaricom or Airtel home fibre, let the console fetch the latest patch once. After that, students in hostels with weak Wi-Fi can play Persona 5 for months without going online.
Is Persona 5 in English, and does it have Japanese voices?
Persona 5 has full English text and English voice acting, and the original Japanese voice track is a free download from the PlayStation Store. Once it is installed, you choose the audio language in the settings menu, and subtitles stay in English either way. Anime fans in Kenya often pick the Japanese voices with English subtitles. Others prefer English voices so they can follow conversations without reading every line. Persona 5 contains a great deal of dialogue, so the choice matters more here than in most games.
Who should buy Persona 5 and who should skip it?
Persona 5 suits players who enjoy long stories, anime-style characters, turn-based battles and managing a daily schedule. It is a strong choice for students with free evenings and for anyone who wants weeks of play from one disc. Skip it if you want fast action, online matches with friends or short play sessions, since much of the game is reading and conversation. Players who want shooting or racing should look at Payday 2 or Project CARS 3, both on PS4 disc at Mascom International.
Is the Persona 5 disc genuine and will it work on a Kenyan PS4?
Every Persona 5 disc at Mascom International is a genuine, factory-sealed retail copy bought through regular supply channels. PS4 games are not region-locked for play, so the disc runs on PS4 consoles bought in Kenya, Dubai, the UK or the US. You can inspect the seal at our Nairobi CBD shop or on delivery before paying. Customers across Nairobi tell us they buy from a walk-in store because loose discs from street stalls often turn out scratched or unreadable.
