Does it come with a PoE injector, and how do I power it?
There is no injector in the box. The U7 LR takes power over the same Ethernet cable that carries data, drawing up to 14W with an input range of 42.5 to 57V DC. Feed it from a PoE switch or a separate 802.3at PoE+ adapter such as Ubiquiti's 2.5G 30W unit. Do I need a UniFi controller or Cloud Key to run it?
You need UniFi Network software version 9.1.120 or later running somewhere, but that does not have to be paid hardware. It can run on a Cloud Gateway, a Cloud Key, or free on a Windows, macOS or Linux machine in your office. Once adopted, day to day changes happen from the UniFi mobile app on iOS or Android. Many Kenyan installers run one controller centrally and manage client sites remotely from Nairobi.
Is WiFi 7 worth it if my Safaricom line is only 30 Mbps?
