Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m | Black | 27W PD Fast Charging | 480Mbps Data Transfer
A long lead that lets iPhones top up from a distant socket while you rest on the bed or sofa.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 1,400 in Black, brand new and sealed. It joins a USB-C charger to an iPhone, iPad or other Lightning device, supports 27W Power Delivery fast charging and moves data at 480Mbps. Porodo is a Dubai-based mobile accessories brand, and the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m carries its tangle-free PVC jacket over high-grade copper wiring. Collect it at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Designed for iPhone owners whose sockets sit in the wrong place, the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m handles the daily problem of a short cord. Apple's own cable is about 1m long, so you end up sitting on the floor next to the wall. Hostel rooms at JKUAT or Kenyatta University often have one socket by the door. Hotel rooms, waiting rooms and open-plan offices in Upper Hill are no better. With three metres of cord, you can reply to WhatsApp messages, check M-Pesa or watch a video in bed while the phone charges.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell unbranded long cables with no paperwork, Mascom International stocks the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m with a written 6-month warranty. Customers across Nairobi tell us the 3m length is the one they keep at their bedside. Porodo rates this cable for more than 15,000 bends, so it is built for daily plugging. Visit our Kimathi Street store to test the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m with your own phone and charger, or order on WhatsApp and pay on delivery.
Common Questions About the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m
How much is the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m Black in Kenya?
The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m in Black costs KSh 1,400 at Mascom International in Nairobi, brand new and sealed. That price covers a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties. The White version of the same cable is KSh 1,200, so Black costs KSh 200 more. No charger is included; you plug the cable into a USB-C power adapter you already own, or buy a compatible one at our store.
Which iPhones work with the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m?
The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m fits every iPhone with a Lightning port, from the iPhone 5 through the iPhone 14 series. It also suits Lightning iPads and Lightning AirPods cases. iPhone 15 and later models use a USB-C port, so they need a USB-C to USB-C cable instead, such as the Porodo USB-C to USB-C PVC Cable 3m at KSh 1,000. If you are unsure which port your phone has, send us a photo of it on WhatsApp.
How does the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m compare with the Porodo Blue 27W PD Lightning cable?
Both cables run from USB-C to Lightning and support 27W Power Delivery, so charging speed is the same with the right adapter. The Porodo Blue 27W PD USB-C to Lightning Cable is 1.2m long and costs KSh 800. The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m adds 1.8m of reach for KSh 600 more in Black. Choose the 1.2m Blue cable for a car, a desk or a power bank in your bag. Choose the 3m cable when the socket sits across the room.
Does the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m help during KPLC power cuts?
The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m works with any USB-C power bank, so your iPhone keeps charging when KPLC cuts the power in Kilimani or Kisumu. During an outage, many people charge from a power bank or a solar unit placed on a table or windowsill. The long cord lets you keep the phone in your hand instead of beside the battery. For the fastest top-up, use a power bank with a USB-C PD output. When power returns, plug back into the wall charger.
Who should buy the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m, and who should skip it?
Buy the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m if you own a Lightning iPhone or iPad and your nearest socket is too far from where you sit or sleep. Students in hostels, hotel guests and office workers gain the most. Skip it if you own an iPhone 15 or newer, because those phones have USB-C ports. Skip it for car use too, since three metres of cord gets in the way of the gear lever; the 1.2m Porodo Blue PD Lightning cable fits a car better.
Does the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m fast charge an iPhone?
Yes. The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m supports Power Delivery up to 27W, the fast charging standard that iPhone 8 and later models accept. To get fast charging, plug it into a USB-C PD adapter or power bank; an old USB-A cube will not connect to this cable. Apple's 20W adapter is a common choice, and the cable handles that easily. Phones that accept less power simply draw what they can, so the cable is safe across every Lightning iPhone.
Can I move photos to a laptop with the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m?
Yes. The Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m transfers data at 480Mbps, the standard USB 2.0 speed that Lightning iPhones use. Plug it into a laptop with a USB-C port and you can copy photos and videos, or back up the phone. An estate agent in Westlands can move a day of property photos to a laptop before uploading listings. Laptops with only USB-A ports need an adapter. The extra length lets the phone rest beside the laptop rather than hang off it.
How long will the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m last?
Porodo rates the Porodo USB-C to Lightning PVC Cable 3m for more than 15,000 bends, which suits a cable that gets plugged in and pulled out every day. High-grade copper inside carries the charge, and the PVC jacket resists tangles. How long it lasts depends on care. Pull by the plug rather than the cord, avoid sharp bends at the neck, and keep it out of doorways where it gets stepped on. If a manufacturing fault appears within six months, the warranty covers it.
Technical Specifications
Core Function
- USB-C to Lightning connection — joins a modern USB-C charger or power bank to an iPhone, iPad or AirPods case with a Lightning port.
- 27W Power Delivery support — Power Delivery is the USB-C fast charging standard, so a PD adapter refills a compatible iPhone quicker than older chargers.
- 480Mbps data transfer — the USB 2.0 speed Lightning iPhones use for copying photos and videos or backing up to a laptop.
- 3m cord length — about three times the reach of a typical 1m phone cable, so the socket no longer decides where you sit.
- Charging and syncing in one cable — no need for a separate lead to move files between your phone and computer.
Compatibility
- Lightning iPhones from the iPhone 5 through the iPhone 14 series, including the Plus, Pro and Pro Max models of those generations.
- Lightning iPads and Lightning AirPods charging cases, which use the same port and charge the same way.
- Any USB-C power adapter or power bank, with fast charging when the source supports USB-C Power Delivery.
- Laptops with a USB-C port for file transfer and backup; laptops with only USB-A ports need a small adapter.
- Not for iPhone 15 or later — those models use USB-C on the phone itself and need a USB-C to USB-C cable.
Build
- PVC outer jacket — a smooth, flexible plastic coating that wipes clean easily and lies flat across a desk or floor.
- High-grade copper wiring — the metal inside carries the current, which matters over a long 3m run.
- Rated for more than 15,000 bends — a Porodo durability figure that reflects years of normal daily plugging.
- Tangle-free design — the cord unrolls straight from a bag or drawer without knots forming along its length.
- Black finish — hides marks and dust and blends in with dark bedside tables, desks and office floors.
