Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse | 7200 DPI | 8 Programmable Buttons | Black | 1.5m Braided Cable
Six sensitivity steps and Huano switches rated for three million clicks give long PC sessions fast, steady aim at a fair price.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 2,400, brand new and sealed in Black. The Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse offers six DPI steps up to 7200, eight programmable buttons, RGB lighting and a 1.5-metre braided USB cable. Porodo builds it around an Instant 725F chip and Huano switches rated for 3 million clicks. It plugs straight into any USB port, so there is no battery to charge or pairing to manage. Walk into our Old Mutual Building store on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, and try the grip on a test laptop.
Designed for PC gamers, university students and developers across Kenya, the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse handles fast games and long working days on one device. A cheap office mouse often lags in shooters and wears out its left click within months. This mouse lets you drop to 800 DPI for precise sniping or design work, then jump to 7200 DPI to cross a large monitor quickly. Students at JKUAT and the University of Nairobi tell us they want one mouse that handles coding assignments by day and Valorant or Call of Duty by night.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell unbranded gaming mice with no warranty, Mascom International stocks the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse sealed and backed by a written warranty. Buyers throughout Kenya report that a wired mouse also saves money on batteries and never drops out halfway through a match. Gamers in cyber cafes and gaming lounges from Westlands to Eldoret choose it for exactly that reason. Order the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery, or collect it in person from our Nairobi CBD store today.
Common Questions About the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse
What is the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse price in Kenya?
The Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse costs KSh 2,400 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed in Black. The price includes a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery to any of Kenya's 47 counties. No batteries, dongle or charger are needed, since the mouse draws power from the USB port it plugs into. Porodo's optional configuration software is a free download from the Porodo website, so the KSh 2,400 is the full cost.
How does the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse compare with a basic office mouse?
The Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse adds six DPI steps up to 7200, eight programmable buttons and switches rated for 3 million clicks. A typical office mouse has one fixed sensitivity, three buttons and lighter switches that wear out sooner under heavy clicking. Choose the Porodo if you game, edit photos or use keyboard shortcuts often. Stick with an office mouse if you only browse, type documents and check email, because the extra buttons will go unused.
Will the mouse work during KPLC power cuts in Kenya?
Yes, the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse keeps working on a laptop running on battery, because it draws its small power needs through USB. On a desktop, it runs as long as the PC stays on through a UPS. There are no batteries to replace, which suits areas where blackouts drain wireless mice at the worst time. The braided cable also stands up better to being bent in a backpack on a daily matatu commute than a thin rubber cable does.
What do the eight programmable buttons and 7200 DPI actually do?
DPI measures how far the cursor moves for each inch the mouse travels, so a higher setting crosses the screen faster. The Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse switches between 800, 1600, 2400, 3200, 4800 and 7200 DPI with a button press. The eight buttons can be assigned to game actions, copy and paste, or browser back and forward using Porodo's free software. That saves keyboard trips during matches and repetitive office work in Excel or design apps.
Who should buy the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse, and who should skip it?
Buy it if you play PC games casually or seriously on a budget, or want extra buttons for productivity work. It suits students, freelancers and cyber cafe owners equipping several machines. Skip it if you play competitive esports at a high level, because its polling rate is 125Hz, and pro players usually prefer mice reporting position far more often. Also skip it if you want a cable-free desk, since a wireless gaming mouse would suit you better.
Does the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse work with laptops, PS5 and Xbox?
The Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse works with Windows laptops and desktops through any standard USB-A port. Basic pointing and clicking also work on most Mac computers, and a USB-C adapter connects it to newer laptops with only USB-C ports. Mouse support on PS5 and Xbox depends on the individual game, since most console titles are built for controllers. Ask our Nairobi CBD staff about your specific setup before buying, and we can test it in store.
Is the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse durable enough for daily use in Kenya?
Porodo rates the Huano switches in the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse for 3 million clicks, which covers years of normal use. The 1.5-metre braided cable is tangle-resistant and handles repeated packing and unpacking better than plain rubber. Wiping the mouse down regularly helps on dusty days in Nairobi and Kisumu, since dust builds up around buttons and the scroll wheel. Any manufacturing defect inside the first six months is covered by our warranty.
Can I turn off or change the RGB lighting?
The RGB lighting on the Porodo Gaming 8D RGB Wired Mouse adds colour that matches most gaming keyboards and desk setups. Lighting control comes through Porodo's downloadable software, alongside button mapping and DPI settings. If you use the mouse in a quiet office or a shared hostel room at Kenyatta University, you can check the lighting options in the software before you settle on a look. Our staff will gladly show you the software running on a store laptop first.
