Crosses a lounge or office corner, linking a television, camera recorder or printer back to the network hub.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M is stocked by Mascom International at KSh 500, brand new and sealed, with RJ45 connectors on both ends of a three-metre run. The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M handles Gigabit Ethernet, is rated for signals up to 250MHz, and supports 10 Gigabit Ethernet, because Cat6 carries that speed over short distances up to about 55 metres. Collect it from our shop in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or have it delivered. It sits between the 2M at KSh 330 and the 5M at KSh 800 in the Net Power family.
Designed for families, small shops and offices, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M handles connections that must travel across part of a room. Routers usually sit where the fibre installer left them, near a window or the front door, and not always beside the TV or work desk. Three metres lets a router on a wall shelf reach a television on the far side of a small lounge, a network printer reach a switch in the corner, or a CCTV recorder reach the router in a reception cabinet. Shopkeepers and receptionists use the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M to keep counter PCs and printers online.
Where many shops offer one or two stock lengths, Mascom International carries the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M as part of an eight-length range, so you buy the reach you measured instead of a compromise. Buyers throughout Kenya report that three metres is the length they reach for when moving the router is not an option, especially in rented flats where drilling walls is off limits. Shop owners in Industrial Area and along Moi Avenue also pick up the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M for the counter PC that runs their stock and sales software. Visit Kimathi Street or order through WhatsApp with pay-on-arrival delivery.
Common Questions About the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable
How much does the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M cost in Kenya?
The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M sells for KSh 500 brand new at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD. The price includes one sealed three-metre cable with RJ45 plugs fitted at both ends and a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects. Delivery anywhere in Kenya is pay-on-arrival. The 2M is KSh 170 cheaper at KSh 330, while the 5M costs KSh 300 more at KSh 800, so measure your run before deciding which length to order.
Where does a 3 metre network cable make sense at home or at work?
A three-metre cable fits runs that cross part of a room or follow a wall around furniture. The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M commonly links a router by the door to a TV across a small lounge, a printer to a switch in an office corner, or a desktop to a floor socket behind a large desk. It also joins two racks or cabinets standing side by side. If the route passes through a doorway into another room, measure carefully, because that path may need the 5M.
Is the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M a better choice than the 2M or 5M?
The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M is the better choice when two metres falls short but five metres would leave a long coil. All three lengths share identical Cat6 performance, with Gigabit Ethernet and a 250MHz rating, so only reach and price differ. The 2M at KSh 330 suits a desk beside a wall jack. The 3M at KSh 500 crosses a corner or small room. The 5M at KSh 800 reaches the far side of a larger lounge or an adjoining office.
Can the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M connect a CCTV recorder or IP camera?
Yes, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M links a CCTV network video recorder to a router or switch, which allows remote viewing on your phone through the recorder's app. It also connects an IP camera to a nearby switch or recorder indoors. Cameras that draw power over Ethernet, known as PoE, commonly run on Cat6 cable from a PoE switch or recorder. For cameras mounted outside or far from the recorder, use outdoor-rated cable in the right length instead.
Is the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M a good fit for a shop counter or small office in Kenya?
Yes, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M suits shop counters and small offices where the router sits on a back shelf. It links a counter PC running stock and sales software, a receipt printer with a network port, or an IP desk phone to the router. When KPLC power returns after an outage, wired devices reconnect as soon as the router boots, with no Wi-Fi rejoining. A cable also keeps those devices online during busy hours when staff and customers load the Wi-Fi.
Who should buy the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M and who should skip it?
Buy the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M if your device sits across a corner or a small room from the router, switch or wall jack. Families wiring a lounge TV, small offices adding a printer and shops linking a counter PC all fit this length. Skip it for side-by-side devices, where the 1M at KSh 300 or the 2M at KSh 330 avoids clutter. Skip it as well for runs between rooms or floors, where the 5M at KSh 800 or the 10M at KSh 1,500 suits better.
Can I run the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M along walls or under a carpet?
You can run the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M along skirting boards with cable clips, which is the neatest way to cross a room. Clip it loosely so the jacket is not pinched, and never nail through or right beside it. Running it under a carpet in a walkway is not advised, because repeated footsteps can crush the twisted pairs over time. Keep it clear of doorways where a closing door can trap it. It is an indoor patch cable, so keep it out of sun and rain.
Does a 3 metre cable lose speed compared with a shorter one?
No, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M delivers the same speed as a 1M or 2M lead. Ethernet over twisted-pair cable is designed for runs up to 100 metres at Gigabit speed, and Cat6 holds 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to about 55 metres. Three metres uses a tiny fraction of either limit. Any slowdown you notice comes from the router, the internet plan or the device, not the cable length. Choose the length that reaches comfortably without strain.
Technical Specifications
Transmission and Speed
- Cat6 specification — follows the Cat6 standard for twisted-pair network cable, rated above Cat5e for signal frequency and noise control.
- Gigabit Ethernet throughput — up to 1,000Mbps, so a 5GB game update moves across the local network in roughly 40 seconds.
- 250MHz bandwidth rating — the frequency ceiling the cable is built to carry, which helps it keep fast data clean.
- 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to about 55 metres — this three-metre run qualifies easily for future 10GbE switches and storage.
- Simultaneous send and receive — full-duplex Ethernet lets a camera upload footage while a TV streams, without either waiting.
- Consistent response time — wired links keep latency flat, which matters for video calls, remote desktop sessions and online games.
Compatibility With Your Equipment
- RJ45 connector at each end — matches Ethernet ports on routers, switches, recorders, desktops, laptops, consoles and network printers.
- Cat5e and Cat6a ports — plugs into both and runs at whatever speed the slower device supports.
- CCTV and IP cameras — connects network video recorders and indoor IP cameras to a router or switch for remote viewing.
- Office devices — links network printers, IP phones and counter PCs to a switch or router across a small room.
- Home entertainment — reaches a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Android TV from a router a few steps away.
Construction and Reach
- 3 metre length — crosses a room corner or follows a wall around furniture without being stretched tight.
- Ready-fitted RJ45 plugs — no crimping, stripping or testing; the cable is finished and ready from the packet.
- Twisted-pair interior — four twisted pairs cancel interference, keeping the signal clean beside power cables and appliances.
- Flexible for routing — curves along skirting and around desks; loose clips and gentle bends protect the pairs.
- Indoor patch cable — meant for rooms, offices and cabinets, not outdoor walls, roofs or underground ducts.
- Factory-sealed — arrives with untouched contacts and firm latch clips that lock into the port.
Packet Contents and Range
- One cable — the packet holds a single Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M with both RJ45 plugs fitted.
- No set-up needed — connect both ends and the port lights confirm the link straight away.
- Nearby lengths — the 2M costs KSh 330 and the 5M costs KSh 800 if your route is shorter or longer.

Package Contents
You receive one Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M in its sealed packet, with an RJ45 plug already fitted to each end. No clips, couplers or adapters come with it, so pick up cable clips if you plan to run it along a wall. A laptop with no Ethernet port needs a separate USB to Ethernet adapter; ask our staff before ordering. For runs beyond three metres, the 5M, 10M and longer Net Power lengths are available from the same Kimathi Street shop.

Mascom International backs the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 3M with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use, such as a loose connector or a cable that drops its link. Take any claim to our Nairobi CBD service desk at the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street.
