Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable | 2 Metre Length | RJ45 Both Ends | Gigabit Ethernet | 250MHz Rated
Spans the gap from a study table to the nearest wall socket so video calls stop dropping.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 330, brand new and sealed with an RJ45 plug on each end. This two-metre Ethernet lead supports Gigabit Ethernet, carries a 250MHz frequency rating, and runs 10 Gigabit Ethernet comfortably, since Cat6 manages that speed on short runs up to about 55 metres. You will find the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M at our shop on the First Floor, Room 4, Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD. It costs only KSh 30 more than the 1M and KSh 170 less than the 3M.
Designed for students, remote workers and home gamers, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M handles a typical household gap: a desk a short distance from the router or wall socket. A one-metre lead often ends just short, leaving the cable stretched taut across the floor, while a long spool turns into clutter. Two metres lets a desktop on a study table reach a wall jack, a console on a TV stand reach a router on the shelf beside it, or a work laptop dock reach a switch. Students sharing busy Wi-Fi in rentals near Kenyatta University and JKUAT run the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M from the router to a laptop for steadier online classes.
Unlike shops that cut network cable to order and crimp the plugs by hand, Mascom International sells the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M finished and sealed, so every plug is seated correctly from the start. At Mascom International, we're seeing more buyers pair a 2M lead with a new console or Safaricom 5G home router to get a wired link from day one. Customers in Westlands and Kilimani tell us the move from Wi-Fi cuts evening buffering on streaming apps. Pick yours up on Kimathi Street or ask on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery to your door.
Common Questions About the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable
What is the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M price in Kenya?
The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M is priced at KSh 330 brand new at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi. For that amount you get one sealed two-metre cable with RJ45 plugs on both ends, backed by a 6-month warranty. You can pay on arrival when it is delivered. The 1M costs KSh 300 and the 3M costs KSh 500, so the 2M adds a full extra metre over the 1M for just KSh 30.
Is 2 metres long enough to reach from my desk to the wall socket?
A two-metre cable reaches most wall sockets beside or just behind a desk, which makes the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M a common home office length. Measure the path the cable will actually follow, not the straight line, because it drops from the desk, runs along the skirting and rises to the socket. A desk 75 centimetres high and a socket 30 centimetres off the floor use about a metre in drops alone. If the full path is longer than about 1.8 metres, step up to the 3M.
How does the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M compare with the 1M and 3M lengths?
All three lengths share the same Cat6 rating, Gigabit Ethernet support and 250MHz frequency rating, so the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M is no faster or slower than its siblings. The difference is reach and price. The 1M at KSh 300 suits devices sitting side by side on one shelf. The 2M at KSh 330 crosses a desk or drops to a nearby floor socket. The 3M at KSh 500 crosses part of a room. Choose the length that reaches without pulling tight, plus a little slack.
Can I connect a PS5 or Android TV to my router with the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M?
Yes, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M plugs into the Ethernet port on a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Android TV and the LAN port on your router. Two metres suits a console or TV on a stand with the router on a nearby shelf or wall bracket. A wired console downloads large game updates at the full speed of your internet plan and keeps online matches steadier than Wi-Fi. For a router across the room, the 3M or 5M lengths fit better.
Will the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M keep me connected when home Wi-Fi keeps dropping?
Yes, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M gives a device its own wired lane to the router, which Wi-Fi congestion cannot touch. In apartment blocks in South B, Kileleshwa or Ruaka, many neighbouring Safaricom, Zuku and Airtel routers crowd the same channels each evening. A cable sidesteps that crowding entirely. It suits anyone joining Teams meetings or submitting eCitizen and KRA forms, where a dropped connection can mean starting the whole process again.
Who should buy the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M and who should skip it?
The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M is right for anyone whose computer, console or TV sits a desk-width from the router or wall jack. Home workers, students and gamers with a compact setup get the most from it. Skip it if both devices sit on one shelf, since the 1M at KSh 300 avoids a spare coil. Skip it too if the cable must cross a room or pass a doorway, where the 3M at KSh 500 or the 5M at KSh 800 is the safer choice.
Will a Cat6 cable make my internet package faster?
A Cat6 cable cannot push your internet beyond the speed you pay for, but it lets a device use all of it. Wi-Fi often loses speed through walls and distance, so a 100Mbps plan can feel much slower in a back bedroom. The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M carries up to 1,000Mbps, comfortably above typical home fibre packages, so the full plan speed reaches your machine. Speed tests over cable also give a true reading if you need to raise a complaint with your provider.
Does the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M work with laptops that have no Ethernet port?
Yes, the Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M works with those laptops through a USB-C or USB-A to Ethernet adapter, sold separately. Many thin laptops, including MacBook Air models and slim Windows ultrabooks, no longer have a built-in RJ45 port. The adapter plugs into a USB port and gives you a standard Ethernet socket for the cable. Choose a Gigabit adapter so it matches the cable's speed. Docking stations with an Ethernet port work the same way and suit a permanent desk.
Technical Specifications
Network Performance
- Cat6 standard — built to the Cat6 twisted-pair specification used in most new office cabling and home network installs.
- Gigabit Ethernet — moves data at up to 1,000Mbps, so a 1GB file crosses a home network in about eight seconds.
- 250MHz rating — carries signals up to 250MHz, giving more headroom against noise than a 100MHz Cat5e lead.
- 10GbE ready over short distances — Cat6 runs 10 Gigabit Ethernet up to about 55 metres, far beyond this two-metre span.
- Two-way traffic at once — Ethernet sends and receives in parallel, so a video call upload does not slow a download.
- Stable latency — a wired link keeps ping steady for online games and voice calls, free of Wi-Fi interference.
Device and Port Compatibility
- Standard RJ45 connectors — one on each end, matching the Ethernet port on routers, switches, desktops, laptops, consoles and printers.
- Works with older ports — connects to Cat5 and Cat5e sockets and settles at the speed of the slowest device.
- Home internet equipment — fits the LAN ports on fibre routers and 5G home routers, giving a wired device a direct path.
- Gaming and entertainment — links a PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X or Android TV to the router for steadier streaming and play.
- Adapter-friendly — pairs with a USB-C or USB-A to Ethernet adapter for laptops that lack a built-in port.
Construction and Length
- 2 metre length — crosses a desk or drops to a nearby floor socket without stretching tight across the room.
- Pre-terminated plugs — both RJ45 ends come fitted, so there is nothing to crimp, test or assemble before use.
- Four twisted pairs — each wire pair is twisted to reject outside interference and crosstalk from the neighbouring pairs.
- Bend-friendly patch cord — made to curve around furniture; gentle bends keep the internal pairs in shape.
- Indoor design — intended for patching inside rooms, offices and cabinets rather than outdoor or underground runs.
- Sealed retail packet — arrives with clean contacts and intact latch clips that click firmly into the port.
What the Packet and Range Offer
- Single cable — the packet contains one Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M with both plugs fitted.
- Plug and play — no drivers or settings; the link light on the router port shows the connection within seconds.
- Neighbouring lengths — the 1M costs KSh 300 and the 3M costs KSh 500 if your measurement changes.
- Full family — Mascom International stocks the same cable in 1M, 2M, 3M, 5M, 10M, 15M, 20M and 25M.
- Cover — 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects through Mascom International.
Package Contents
Inside the sealed packet is one Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M, ready to plug in with an RJ45 connector at each end. Nothing else is included, since a straight device-to-router link needs no extra parts. Laptops without an Ethernet socket need a USB to Ethernet adapter, and our team on Kimathi Street can advise on one when you order. If two metres turns out too short or too long, the 1M and 3M lengths sit on the same shelf at Mascom International.
Warranty
The Net Power Cat6 Patch Cable 2M ships with a 6-month warranty through Mascom International, covering manufacturing defects under normal use, including a plug that loses contact or a cable that stops carrying data. Bring any claim to our service desk in the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
