Insta360 Luna Ultra | Creator Bundle | 8K 30fps Recording | 1-inch Leica Summicron Lens | Detachable OLED Touchscreen
A pocket gimbal kit that adds a wireless mic, spare grip power and an extra wide view for Kenyan vloggers who shoot on the move.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle is available at Mascom International for KSh 126,000, brand new and sealed, pairing a pocket gimbal camera that records 8K at 30fps with a wireless microphone, a battery handle and a wide angle lens. The Insta360 Luna Ultra carries a 1-inch main sensor behind a Leica Summicron F1.8 lens, plus a 1/1.3-inch telephoto camera, giving five practical focal lengths and up to 12x zoom. Its OLED touchscreen detaches and works as a remote monitor up to 20 metres away. You can see it at our showroom in the Old Mutual Building on Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for content creators, journalists, wedding videographers and YouTubers across Kenya, the Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle replaces the phone, gimbal and microphone rig that many creators carry today. A phone on a handheld gimbal needs balancing, a separate mic receiver and a power bank on a cable. Here the gimbal is part of the camera, the Mic Pro Transmitter clips to a collar for clear speech, and the battery handle adds recording time in the grip. A Westlands food reviewer, a Kisumu church media team or a Strathmore student filming a class project can be rolling within moments of opening the bag.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops sell a bare camera and leave buyers to hunt for accessories, Mascom International stocks the full Creator Bundle as Insta360 packs it. At Mascom International, we're seeing more creators move from phone rigs to dedicated pocket cameras, mainly for cleaner low-light footage and better sound. Buyers throughout Kenya report that clear audio, more than resolution, is what lifts their videos. Visit the store to handle the Insta360 Luna Ultra before you pay, or order the Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle on WhatsApp for pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Common Questions About the Insta360 Luna Ultra
How much is the Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle in Kenya?
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle costs KSh 126,000 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. That price covers the camera with its detachable screen, the Mic Pro Transmitter, the battery handle and the wide angle lens, along with the smaller accessories listed below. It also includes a 12-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties. You pay by M-Pesa, card or cash when the parcel reaches you, so you never send money for stock you have not seen.
Insta360 Luna Ultra or DJI Osmo Pocket 4P: which should I buy in Kenya?
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle costs KSh 34,000 more than the DJI Osmo Pocket 4P Standard Combo, which sells at Mascom International for KSh 92,000. The extra money buys a wireless Mic Pro Transmitter, a battery handle, a wide angle lens and a screen that detaches as a remote monitor. Pick the Luna Ultra bundle if you want one box that covers audio, power and framing on day one. Pick the Pocket 4P combo if you already own a wireless mic or want to spend less up front.
Can the Insta360 Luna Ultra handle Kenyan dust, heat and rain?
Insta360 does not list a waterproof rating for the Insta360 Luna Ultra, so treat it as a dry-weather camera and keep it covered in rain. The protective cover and carry bag in the Creator Bundle keep dust out of the gimbal on murram roads and dusty market shoots in Nakuru or Eldoret. In Mombasa's coastal humidity, store it in the bag with a silica gel sachet between shoots. On a hot day, avoid leaving it on a car dashboard or a matatu window ledge in direct sun.
How long does the Insta360 Luna Ultra battery last, and what about KPLC power cuts?
The Insta360 Luna Ultra runs for about 4 hours at 1080p 24fps and about 2.5 hours at 4K 60fps on its 1550mAh battery. PD fast charging brings it to about 80% in roughly 25 minutes from a USB-C Power Delivery charger. When KPLC cuts power before an event, a USB-C PD power bank will top it up just as well as a wall socket. The battery handle in the Creator Bundle adds more recording time in the grip, which helps on long wedding days.
Is the Insta360 Luna Ultra good for weddings, church services and events?
Yes, the Insta360 Luna Ultra suits event work because its 1-inch main sensor gathers more light than a phone sensor in dim halls and evening receptions. PureVideo Mode up to 4K 60fps cuts grain indoors, and 10-bit I-Log keeps detail in bright windows and dark suits for colour grading later. The 12x zoom reaches the altar or stage from the back row. Plan to offload footage to a laptop between sessions, since 47GB of built-in storage holds about 134 minutes of 4K 30fps video.
Does the Insta360 Luna Ultra record clear audio for interviews?
The Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle includes the Mic Pro Transmitter, a clip-on wireless microphone that records at 48kHz, the standard sample rate for video sound. Clipped to a speaker's collar, it picks up their voice close to the mouth, so traffic on Moi Avenue or a noisy crowd fades into the background. The pre-installed wind guard cuts the rumble that ruins outdoor clips on breezy rooftops. Journalists, podcasters and estate agents doing walk-through tours get usable sound without a separate recorder.
Can I control the Insta360 Luna Ultra from a distance?
Yes, the OLED touchscreen on the Insta360 Luna Ultra detaches and works as a remote monitor and controller up to 20 metres away. Set the camera on a tripod using the 1/4-inch thread handle, step into the frame, and check your shot on the screen in your hand. Solo creators filming tutorials, pastors recording sermons and teachers shooting lessons can frame themselves without a second person. It also lets you start recording from across a room without walking back to the camera.
Who should buy the Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle, and who should skip it?
Buy the Insta360 Luna Ultra Creator Bundle if you film people talking, travelling or performing and want gimbal-steady video, zoom and a wireless mic in one box. It fits YouTubers, wedding shooters, NGO field staff recording stories and marketing teams making product clips. Skip it if you shoot underwater, mount cameras on helmets, or want full 360-degree footage; the Insta360 X5 Essentials Bundle at KSh 79,000 suits that better. For hands-free first-person clips, the Insta360 GO Ultra at KSh 67,000 is the lighter choice.
Technical Specifications
Sensor and Image Quality
- 1-inch main sensor — a large sensor for a pocket camera, gathering more light for cleaner footage in dim rooms and evening streets.
- 1/1.3-inch telephoto sensor — a second camera for tighter framing, so faces and distant subjects stay sharp without walking closer.
- 4K Live Photos — short moving stills captured in 4K, handy for social posts and quick event highlights.
- 10-bit I-Log profile — a flat colour mode that keeps more detail in bright skies and deep shadows for later grading.
- PureVideo Mode up to 4K 60fps — Insta360's low-light processing, which reduces grain when filming indoors or after sunset.
Lens, Zoom and Stabilization
- Leica Summicron main lens at F1.8 — a wide aperture, meaning a large lens opening that lets in plenty of light and softens backgrounds.
- Telephoto lens at F2.0 — a bright aperture for the zoom camera, so it stays usable indoors and not only in daylight.
- Five practical focal lengths — preset framing steps from wide to tight, chosen with a tap instead of swapping cameras.
- Up to 12x zoom — reach for stage shots, sports from the stands or wildlife at a safe distance in a game park.
- Built-in pocket gimbal — a motorised mount that keeps the camera level as you walk, removing the shake handheld phones show.
Video Capabilities
- Up to 8K at 30fps — four times the pixels of 4K, which leaves room to crop or reframe in editing without visible loss of detail.
- 4K at 120fps — four times the usual frame rate, which becomes smooth slow motion when played back at 30fps.
- PureVideo up to 4K 60fps — night-friendly recording at a frame rate that suits dancing, sport and other fast movement.
- 10-bit colour — about a billion shades per pixel, which avoids visible banding in skies and plain walls when grading.
- 1080p at 24fps — the lightest mode for long recording, giving roughly 4 hours on a single battery charge.
- 4K at 60fps — a fluid everyday setting for walking vlogs and sermons, running about 2.5 hours per charge.
Battery and Storage
- 1550mAh battery — about 4 hours at 1080p 24fps and about 2.5 hours at 4K 60fps, by Insta360's figures.
- PD fast charging — about 80% in roughly 25 minutes from a USB-C Power Delivery charger or power bank.
- Battery handle in the bundle — extra power held in the grip, for conferences and services that run for hours.
- 47GB built-in storage — about 134 minutes of 4K 30fps footage at a typical 350MB a minute before you offload.
- Weight of about 228g — light enough for a jacket pocket or a small sling bag on a full day out.
Connectivity and Audio
- Detachable OLED touchscreen — the screen comes off and acts as a remote monitor and controller up to 20 metres away.
- Mic Pro Transmitter — a clip-on wireless microphone recording at 48kHz, the standard sample rate for video audio.
- Pre-installed wind guard — a cover over the microphone that cuts wind rumble on outdoor interviews and rooftop shoots.
- 1/4-inch thread handle — the standard tripod screw size, so the camera fits common tripods, clamps and light stands.
- USB-C PD charging — the same connector as most current phones and laptops, so one charger can serve the whole kit.
