Study spells, brew potions and roam a nineteenth-century wizarding school at your own pace.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Hogwarts Legacy is available at Mascom International for KSh 4,700 as a brand new and sealed PS4 physical disc, ready for any PlayStation 4, PS4 Slim or PS4 Pro. Developed by Avalanche Software and published by Warner Bros. Games under its Portkey Games label, Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player action role-playing game set in the wizarding world of the late 1800s. You play a fifth-year student who arrives at the castle with a rare gift for ancient magic. The disc is in stock now at our shop in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for families, university students and solo players across Kenya, Hogwarts Legacy gives you a long story that does not depend on a stable internet line. Many buyers tell us their home fibre drops during heavy rain, and online-only games stall when that happens. Hogwarts Legacy runs fully offline once installed, so a weekend session in Kilimani or a quiet evening in Eldoret goes ahead regardless. You learn spells, brew potions, grow magical plants, care for beasts and fly a broom over the castle grounds, Hogsmeade village and the Forbidden Forest. It carries a PEGI 12 rating in Europe and an ESRB Teen rating in North America.
Where some Nairobi game stalls sell opened or pre-owned discs as new, Mascom International stocks Hogwarts Legacy in factory-sealed cases, and you can inspect the seal at the counter before paying. Because Sony does not run a PlayStation Store for Kenya, a physical copy is also the simplest way to own the game without a foreign account. Customers across Nairobi tell us they like being able to lend the disc to a cousin or resell it later. Visit the shop on Kimathi Street, or order Hogwarts Legacy on WhatsApp and pay on arrival in any of Kenya's 47 counties.
Common Questions About Hogwarts Legacy
How much is Hogwarts Legacy for PS4 in Kenya?
Hogwarts Legacy for PS4 costs KSh 4,700 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and factory sealed. That price covers the physical disc in its retail case and a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects. Delivery is pay-on-arrival, so you pay in cash or by M-Pesa only once the disc is in your hands. Within our current PS4 range, Hogwarts Legacy sits KSh 700 below Horizon Forbidden West at KSh 5,400 and matches Minecraft Legends at KSh 4,700.
Does Hogwarts Legacy on PS4 need internet or PlayStation Plus?
Hogwarts Legacy is a single-player game, so you do not need PlayStation Plus to play it on PS4. There is no online multiplayer mode at all. The disc installs the game to your console, and you can then play the whole campaign offline. An internet connection matters only for downloading game updates from Sony's servers. If your line is slow, leave the update running overnight, then play without data costs eating into your Safaricom or Airtel Kenya bundle.
Will the Hogwarts Legacy PS4 disc play on a PS5?
Yes, the Hogwarts Legacy PS4 disc plays on a PlayStation 5 that has a disc drive, through Sony's backward compatibility. That covers the original PS5 with a built-in drive, and the PS5 Slim or PS5 Pro once the detachable disc drive is attached. A PS5 Digital Edition without a drive cannot read it. On a PS5 you are running the PS4 version of the game, so the graphics match that version rather than the native PS5 release.
Is Hogwarts Legacy or Horizon Forbidden West the better PS4 game to buy?
Hogwarts Legacy suits players who want magic, school life and exploring a famous fictional world, while Horizon Forbidden West suits players who want bow combat against machine creatures in a post-apocalyptic America. Both are single-player open-world games that play offline on PS4. Hogwarts Legacy costs KSh 4,700 at Mascom International, KSh 700 less than Horizon Forbidden West at KSh 5,400. Pick Hogwarts Legacy if your household loves the wizarding world; pick Horizon Forbidden West for tactical action and science fiction.
What happens to my Hogwarts Legacy progress during a KPLC power cut?
Hogwarts Legacy saves your progress automatically at regular points, and you can also save manually from the pause menu. A KPLC blackout mid-session will usually cost only the minutes since your last save. A sudden power loss can still harm data on any PS4, so many Kenyan gamers plug their console into a UPS that gives time for a safe shutdown. Mascom International stocks UPS units at our Kimathi Street shop if you want that protection.
Is Hogwarts Legacy suitable for children?
Hogwarts Legacy is rated PEGI 12 in Europe and ESRB Teen in North America, so it suits most players aged 12 and above. The rating descriptors cover violence and some language. Parents in Nairobi often play alongside younger children, since the spell lessons and puzzles are easy to follow. Sony's store lists optional in-game purchases, but the disc holds the full story, so nobody needs to spend more money to finish the game.
Who should buy Hogwarts Legacy and who should skip it?
Hogwarts Legacy is a strong pick for fans of the wizarding world, solo players and families who want a long offline adventure on PS4. Players who mainly want online matches with friends should skip it, because the game has no multiplayer. For shared play, Minecraft at KSh 5,000 is a better fit, since it offers split-screen on one television and online play with PlayStation Plus. Gamers who want lightsaber combat may prefer Star Wars Jedi Fallen Order at KSh 5,400.
Can a Hogwarts Legacy disc from abroad play on a PS4 bought in Kenya?
Yes, a Hogwarts Legacy disc plays on any PS4 regardless of where either was bought, because PS4 consoles do not lock game discs by region. A console imported from Dubai or the UK reads the same disc as one bought on Kimathi Street. Kenya is not a supported PlayStation Network region, and the disc sidesteps that problem for the main game, since you need no store purchase to play it. Updates download whenever the console is online.

Compatibility and Console Support
- Runs on the PlayStation 4, PS4 Slim and PS4 Pro — every PS4 model reads the disc through its built-in Blu-ray drive.
- Listed by Sony as PS4 Pro Enhanced — owners of a PS4 Pro get a version that uses that console's extra graphics power.
- Plays on a PS5 with a disc drive through backward compatibility — useful if you plan to upgrade consoles later without rebuying.
- Cannot be read by a PS5 Digital Edition unless the detachable disc drive is attached — check your console before ordering.

- Supports PS Remote Play — stream the game from your PS4 to a phone or computer through the free PS Remote Play app.
Build and Disc Format
- Blu-ray game disc in a standard PS4 retail case — the format every PS4 console is built to read.
- Factory shrink-wrap seal intact — proof the disc has never been opened, played or handled by a previous owner.
- Installs to your PS4's internal storage from the disc — the disc stays in the drive whenever you start the game.
- The console shows the required free space during installation — clear old games first if your storage is nearly full.
- Game updates download whenever the console is online — patch sizes vary, so a fibre or home Wi-Fi connection helps.
- Region-free disc — PS4 consoles do not region-lock game discs, so imported and local consoles both read it.

- English voice acting with subtitles in several languages — the exact list depends on the region the copy was printed for.

- Optional in-game purchases listed by Sony — none of them are needed to complete any part of the story.
- PlayStation trophy support — earn trophies tied to your console profile as you finish quests and challenges.
Package Contents
Hogwarts Legacy arrives as a brand new, factory-sealed PS4 retail case holding the game disc, along with any printed insert the publisher placed inside. If your old controller is worn out, Mascom International stocks replacements at the Kimathi Street shop.
Warranty
Mascom International backs Hogwarts Legacy with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects in the disc, such as a brand new disc your PS4 cannot read.
