Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Mascom International stocks the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load at KSh 62,000, available now at our Nairobi CBD store, brand new and sealed. Its 14kg stainless steel drum is paired with iBubble washing, Fuzzy logic control and eight programmes. The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load also carries double water inlets, a built-in drain pump, an LED display and a semi-transparent glass lid. Find it at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, in Titanium Crystal Grey. Bring your room measurements, and our team will confirm that the 14kg cabinet fits your space before you order.
Guesthouse owners in Naivasha and Nanyuki, mission houses and multi-generational compounds all share one problem: linen piles up faster than a standard washer can clear it. The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load processes a large guest-room changeover in one cycle instead of three small ones. Salon and barbershop owners get clean towels back in a single afternoon. Child Lock keeps little hands away from the panel, while Memory Backup and Auto Restart carry a wash through a blackout without anyone noticing it happened. Housekeepers spend their shift on rooms and guests instead of wringing and hanging sheets by hand.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops offer one or two washer sizes, Mascom International lets you stand the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load beside its 11kg and 17kg siblings. Hospitality managers who have moved from twin tubs report that their staff reclaim hours previously spent shifting wet sheets between tubs. Businesses can pay through Lipa na M-Pesa when the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load is delivered. Pay-on-arrival terms apply countrywide, so the washer is inspected on site before any money changes hands. Restocking a busy property no longer means a trip into town.
Common Questions About the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load
What does the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load add over the 11kg WT3K1123UB?
The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load adds 3kg of drum capacity for KSh 15,000 more than the WT3K1123UB. Over one year of use, that difference works out to roughly KSh 41 per day. In return you gain room for bulky linen loads, a built-in drain pump and confirmed double inlets for hot and cold water. For a guesthouse washing several rooms of sheets daily, those extra kilograms cut the number of cycles noticeably. Smaller homes gain less, so weigh your real daily volume first.
Is the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load suitable for a small guesthouse?
Yes, the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load suits small guesthouses, Airbnb clusters and staff quarters that wash linen most days. It remains a household-type machine rather than an industrial washer, so heavy hotel volumes need dedicated commercial equipment. For lodges with a handful of rooms around Naivasha, Nanyuki or Watamu, one 14kg unit handles a typical changeover. Larger properties washing round the clock should consider the WT3T1723UT 17kg instead, which adds another 3kg per load.
How loud is the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load during a night wash?
Hisense rates the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load at no more than 62dB while washing and 72dB while spinning. The washing figure is similar to a normal conversation, so it suits apartments where neighbours share walls. Spinning is louder but lasts only part of the cycle. Delay End lets you time that spin for early evening, rather than late at night when sound carries furthest through a building. Placing the washer on a level, solid floor also reduces vibration noise.
Can the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load drain into a raised sink?
Yes, the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load has a built-in drain pump, so it pushes water out instead of relying on gravity. That means the drain hose can rise into a sink, standpipe or raised outlet rather than needing a floor drain. Many older Nairobi flats lack a floor waste point in the kitchen, so this feature saves on plumbing work. Keep the hose free of kinks to protect the pump, and avoid pushing the end too deep into a standpipe.
Will the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load fit my laundry room?
The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load measures 586mm wide, 615mm deep and 1015mm tall. That footprint fits most kitchen alcoves, utility rooms and covered back verandas. Leave a little space at the sides for air and for the inlet hoses. Check overhead clearance too, since the glass lid opens upwards. Packed for shipping, the machine weighs 44kg, which two people can carry up a flight of stairs. Measure doorways along the route as well as the final spot.
How does the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load cope with coastal humidity?
The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load uses a stainless steel drum, which resists the rust that humid air speeds up in Mombasa, Kilifi and Diani. Running the Tub Clean programme regularly stops mould from growing inside the drum in damp weather. The Air Dry programme also helps, because clothes take far longer to dry on lines during humid coastal months. Leave the lid open after each wash to let moisture escape, and wipe the rubber seal around the lid edge every week.
Should you buy the WSBE201 20kg twin tub or the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load?
Both cost KSh 62,000 at Mascom International, so the choice comes down to labour versus capacity. The WSBE201 20kg twin tub holds 6kg more and copes with irregular water because you can fill it by bucket. The Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load runs every stage by itself and frees staff for other work. Choose the twin tub where water supply is unreliable, and the top loader where labour costs matter. Floor space also differs, since twin tubs sit wider.
Who should buy the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load, and who should skip it?
Buy the Hisense WT3K1423UB 14kg Top Load for a guesthouse, a big compound or a household that washes large linen loads daily. Skip it if you are a couple or a young family, since the WT3K9022UB 9kg covers that need for KSh 21,200 less. Buyers whose taps run dry for days at a time are better off with a hand-filled Hisense twin tub from Mascom International, which keeps working wherever water can be carried in a bucket.
Technical Specifications
Drum Capacity and Construction
- 14kg washing capacity handles a full guest-room changeover of sheets, duvet covers and towels in one cycle.
- Stainless steel drum resists rust and staining, an important trait in humid coastal towns and steamy laundry rooms.
- Free-standing design needs no built-in cabinetry, so the washer can move with you to a new house.
- Cabinet dimensions of 586mm by 615mm by 1015mm fit most utility rooms and kitchen alcoves.
- Packing weight of 44kg allows two people to carry the boxed washer up a normal stairwell.
- Titanium Crystal Grey finish keeps the cabinet looking tidy in shared laundry spaces and busy kitchens.
Programme Range and Wash Options
- Eight programmes are listed: Normal, Quick, Eco, Delicate, Intensive, Air Dry, Spin Only and Tub Clean.
- Normal programme suits everyday mixed loads of clothing, sheets and kitchen cloths with no fine-tuning needed.
- Intensive programme gives work uniforms, kitchen aprons and heavily used linen a longer, stronger wash.
- Delicate programme slows drum movement to protect chiffon, lace and decorative cushion covers from damage.
- Air Dry programme drives extra moisture from fabric, shortening line-drying time on cool or overcast days.
- Spin Only programme removes water from hand-washed items quickly, saving the effort of wringing heavy sheets.
Water, Temperature and Drainage
- Double water inlet connects to separate hot and cold supplies, so warm washes are possible where piped.
- Warm water from a solar heater lifts body oils from pillowcases more effectively than cold water alone.
- Built-in drain pump pushes waste water out, allowing the hose to rise into a sink or standpipe.
- Pump-assisted draining avoids the need for a floor drain, saving plumbing work in older Nairobi flats.
- Fuzzy logic control sets the water level to suit each load, avoiding waste on partly filled drums.
- Soak function lets clothes sit in water before washing, loosening dried sweat and food marks.
Cleaning Technology and Hygiene
- iBubble technology dissolves detergent into foam, carrying it deeper into thick towels and folded sheets.
- Tub Clean programme rinses the drum itself, preventing mould and stale smells in damp climates.
- Single lint filter catches loose fibres, keeping dark uniforms and towels free of fluff after washing.
- Automatic rinse stage clears detergent residue, which keeps towels soft and reduces skin irritation for guests.
- Semi-transparent glass lid lets you check progress without opening it and interrupting the cycle.
- Foam-based detergent spreading reduces undissolved powder marks that often show up on dark guest towels.
Controls and Safety
- LED display shows programme status clearly, so staff can tell at a glance how long remains.
- Child Lock blocks the panel during operation, preventing children or passers-by from changing settings.
- Pause and Add lets you open the lid mid-wash to include a forgotten pillowcase or apron.
- Delay End schedules the finish time, so linen is ready exactly when housekeeping staff arrive.
- Noise rating of no more than 62dB washing and 72dB spinning suits apartments with shared walls.
- Fully automatic sequencing runs fill, wash, rinse and spin with no staff member needed beside it.
Power Resilience
- Memory Backup stores the selected programme and its progress when the electricity supply cuts out.
- Auto Restart continues the cycle once power returns, without anyone needing to press a button.
- Resumed cycles avoid wasting a full drum of water and detergent on a fresh restart.
- A surge-protected socket remains advisable to shield the control board from spikes after outages.
- Sealed factory packaging confirms the motor, pump and electronics have never been used before you.
- Stable restarts after outages protect busy guesthouse schedules, where one lost cycle delays every room.
