Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx is now available at Mascom International for KSh 138,500, brand new and sealed. This convertible runs the Intel Core Ultra 7 256V with 16GB of LPDDR5x-8533 memory, a 1TB SSD and Intel Arc 140V graphics. Its 16-inch touchscreen rotates a full 360 degrees on the hinge, switching between laptop, tent, stand and tablet modes. HP rates the 68Wh battery for up to 23 hours of video playback, and Thunderbolt 4 handles docks and external displays. Collect the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx at Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order for delivery.
The HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx addresses a problem facing lawyers, lecturers, architects and real estate agents in Kenya: carrying a laptop plus a tablet and still running out of charge. One device now handles typing, handwritten notes with an optional stylus, and client presentations in tent mode. Real estate agents walking clients through listings in Karen, Runda and Kileleshwa can flip the screen around to show floor plans. Lecturers at Strathmore and USIU can annotate slides live. With the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx, a 47 TOPS AI engine also runs Copilot+ features on the device, not in the cloud.
Unlike traditional electronics retailers in Kenya, which mostly stock 14-inch convertibles, Mascom International offers the larger 16-inch HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx for people who need real screen space. Users consistently report that the battery outlasts their workday with room left for the evening. The aluminium Eclipse Gray body looks sharp in boardrooms and resists the flex of cheaper plastic shells. Test the hinge and touchscreen in our store before you commit, or choose pay-on-arrival delivery anywhere in Kenya.
Common Questions About the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx
Is the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx a Copilot+ PC?
Yes, the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx is a Copilot+ PC. Its Intel AI Boost NPU delivers 47 TOPS, above the 40 TOPS Microsoft requires for Copilot+ features. That unlocks on-device tools such as Windows Studio Effects for calls, live captions with translation and AI image features in Paint and Photos. Because the work happens on the laptop itself, these features stay fast and keep running on weak connections during field trips outside Nairobi.
How long does the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx battery really last?
HP rates the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx for up to 15 hours 45 minutes of mixed use and up to 23 hours of video playback. That comes from a large 68Wh battery paired with the efficient Core Ultra 7 256V. Real use with Wi-Fi, calls and moderate brightness will come in lower, but a full working day unplugged is realistic. When you do charge, the 65W USB-C adapter reaches about 50% in roughly 45 minutes.
Does the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx come with a pen?
The HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx supports an optional HP stylus, which is sold separately rather than included in the box. Once paired, you can write notes in OneNote, sign contracts, mark up PDFs and sketch ideas directly on the 16-inch screen. Architects, teachers and lawyers find this faster than printing and scanning. Ask Mascom International on WhatsApp for a compatible pen when you order, and we will confirm pairing before delivery.
HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx vs HP OmniBook 5 16-af1017wm, which should you buy?
Pick the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx if you want tablet mode, pen support, a Copilot+ NPU, Thunderbolt 4 and Intel Arc 140V graphics. Pick the OmniBook 5 16-af1017wm at KSh 129,000 if you only type and never fold the screen, and want a numeric keypad. The X Flip also carries a brighter 400-nit display and a 5MP IR camera for face sign-in. For KSh 9,500 more, the X Flip is the more capable all-rounder.
Can the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx connect to projectors and office screens?
Yes, the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx has a full-size HDMI 2.1 port, so it plugs straight into boardroom projectors, TVs and monitors without an adapter. Thunderbolt 4 adds single-cable docking for a desk setup with an external screen, keyboard and charging. For small meetings, tent mode turns the screen toward your audience with no projector needed. Consultants presenting in hotel conference rooms in Nairobi, Naivasha and Mombasa find that flexibility handy.
Is a 16-inch 2-in-1 like the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx comfortable as a tablet?
The HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx weighs about 1.88kg, so tablet mode works best resting on a desk, lap or table rather than held in one hand. That suits drawing, reviewing documents and presenting to clients across a table. If you plan to hold it like a tablet for long periods, the lighter 14-inch OmniBook X Flip model at Mascom International may suit you better. For most buyers, the bigger canvas outweighs the extra weight.
Can the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx handle photo editing and light gaming?
Yes, the Intel Arc 140V graphics in the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx is among the strongest integrated GPUs in thin laptops. Lightroom edits, Canva projects and short 1080p video edits run smoothly. Popular games such as Fortnite, Rocket League and FIFA-style titles play at modest settings. Serious gamers and 4K video editors should step up to the HP OmniBook 7 AI 16-ay0575cl with a dedicated NVIDIA RTX 4050 from Mascom International.
How does the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx cope with Kenyan power cuts and travel?
The HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx is well suited to unreliable power, because its 68Wh battery and efficient chip stretch a single charge across most of a day. The 65W USB-C adapter is compact, and any USB-C power bank rated 65W can keep it running on the Nairobi-Mombasa SGR or long road trips. Fast charging to about 50% in 45 minutes means a short break during a KPLC outage recovers half a day of work.
Who should buy the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx, and who should skip it?
Buy the HP OmniBook X Flip 16-as0023dx if you present to clients, annotate documents, teach, sketch or simply want the longest battery in a 16-inch touchscreen. It suits lawyers, lecturers, architects, consultants and sales teams. Skip it if you mostly type and want the lowest price; the HP OmniBook 3 16-bu0305dx covers that at KSh 87,000. Skip it too if gaming or heavy video work matters more than flexibility.
