Green Lion Container Power Bank | 50000mAh Capacity | USB-C and USB-A Ports | Digital Charge Display
A week of phone top-ups for commuters, students and anyone tired of hunting for sockets.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Green Lion Container Power Bank is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 6,200, with a 50000mAh battery, USB-C and USB-A ports and a digital display that shows the charge left. Each unit is brand new and sealed in its Green Lion box. The Green Lion Container Power Bank holds enough energy for several days of heavy phone use between wall charges. It fits in a backpack or laptop bag, though it is too large for a shirt pocket. Our shop is in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Designed for university students, journalists, logistics coordinators and sales teams, the Green Lion Container Power Bank handles long days far from a plug. A student at JKUAT or Kenyatta University can run a phone through lectures, library hours and the ride home without asking a stranger in the hostel for a free socket. A rider on a long matatu route from Thika or Kitengela arrives with a full battery instead of a red warning. The Green Lion Container Power Bank also covers short KPLC outages at home, keeping two phones alive until the lights return.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that stock unbranded banks with doubtful capacity stickers, Mascom International sells the Green Lion Container Power Bank as a sealed, traceable product with a written warranty. Buyers throughout Kenya report that cheap 50000mAh claims often die after one recharge, and they come to us for a name they can trust. The Green Lion Container Power Bank gives that confidence at a fair price. Walk into our Kimathi Street store to see the display working, or order on WhatsApp and pay on arrival anywhere in the country.
Common Questions About the Green Lion Container Power Bank
What is the Green Lion Container Power Bank 50000mAh price in Kenya?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank 50000mAh sells for KSh 6,200 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. The price covers a 6-month warranty against manufacturing defects and pay-on-arrival delivery to all 47 counties. No wall adapter comes in the box, though compatible USB-C chargers are sold at our shop. You pay in cash or by M-Pesa only once the parcel reaches you, so there is no risk of paying for a unit that never arrives.
How many phone charges does the Green Lion Container Power Bank give?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank stores 50000mAh, the raw capacity of 10 phone batteries rated at 5000mAh. Some energy is always lost as heat when a power bank converts voltage, so real full charges land below that raw number. In practice, expect around seven full charges of a typical Android phone, or more for an iPhone with a smaller battery. For one person, that usually means a full week of daily top-ups before the bank itself needs a wall socket.
Is the Green Lion Container Power Bank good for KPLC power cuts?
Yes, the Green Lion Container Power Bank keeps phones and a pocket MiFi running through a typical KPLC outage of several hours. Pocket routers from Safaricom, Airtel Kenya and Telkom take USB power, so your home stays online while the grid is down. Two phones and a router together will drain it faster than one phone alone. For outages that last several days, or for a fibre router with a barrel plug, a larger solar unit or a router UPS suits better.
How long does the Green Lion Container Power Bank take to recharge?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank needs several hours to refill from empty, because 50000mAh is a large amount of energy for any wall charger. Plugging it in overnight through the USB-C input is the simplest routine. A faster USB-C wall charger shortens the wait compared with an old 5V phone adapter. The digital display shows the percentage as it fills, so you can unplug at any point and still know exactly how much charge you carry out the door.
How does the Green Lion Container Power Bank compare with the Green Lion Power Tank 50000mAh?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank and the Green Lion Power Tank both hold 50000mAh, so their stored energy is the same. The Power Tank adds built-in charging cables and lists 22.5W Power Delivery fast charging, which saves you carrying separate leads. The Container keeps a plainer design with standard ports, so you plug in whichever cable each device needs. Pick the Power Tank if loose cables annoy you. Pick the Container Power Bank if you already own good cables and want the capacity at KSh 6,200.
Can I carry the Green Lion Container Power Bank on a flight from JKIA?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank can fly in cabin baggage only with airline approval, and never in checked luggage. Battery energy equals capacity times cell voltage, so 50000mAh at the standard 3.7V comes to about 185Wh. Airlines allow spare batteries up to 100Wh freely and up to 160Wh with approval, which places this bank above both limits. Kenya Airways and most carriers will refuse it, so leave it at home or choose a pocket bank under 100Wh when you fly.
Who should buy the Green Lion Container Power Bank and who should skip it?
The Green Lion Container Power Bank suits students, field workers, long-distance commuters and families who want several days of phone power from one charge. It is heavier than a slim pocket charger, so a person who only needs one top-up a day may find it bulky. That buyer is better off with a 10000mAh pocket bank. Anyone planning to fly often, or to power a laptop through a USB-C charging port, should look for a model with a stated laptop wattage instead.
Will the Green Lion Container Power Bank damage my phone battery?
No, the Green Lion Container Power Bank will not harm a phone battery when you use a proper cable. Every modern phone controls its own charging and only draws the current it can accept, whether it is a Samsung, Tecno, Infinix or iPhone. Green Lion builds protection against overcharge and short circuits into its power banks. Avoid frayed or cheap cables, and do not leave the bank under a car windscreen in the afternoon sun, since heat is the main enemy of lithium cells.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Capacity
- 50000mAh lithium battery — the raw capacity of 10 phone batteries rated at 5000mAh, before conversion losses.
- About 185Wh of stored energy at the standard 3.7V cell rating — several days of phone use for one person.
- Multiple output ports — charge a phone and earbuds, or two phones, from the same bank together.
- USB-C input for wall charging — one modern cable both refills the bank and charges your devices.
- Overnight refill suits it best — a large battery takes hours to fill from any wall charger.
Compatibility
- USB-C output — works with recent Samsung, Tecno, Infinix, Oppo and Redmi phones and newer iPhones.
- USB-A output — charges older phones, earbuds cases, smartwatches and torches with a standard cable.
- Pocket MiFi routers charge over USB — keeps a Safaricom, Airtel Kenya or Telkom connection alive during outages.
- Bluetooth speakers and wireless headphones charge from the same ports — one bank for every small gadget.
- Not built for laptops unless the laptop accepts low-wattage USB-C charging — check before you rely on it.
Build and Display
- Digital charge display — shows the remaining battery as a percentage, so there is no guessing.
- Container-style rectangular body — packs flat in a backpack, laptop bag or car glovebox.
- Protection against overcharging, overheating and short circuits, as Green Lion lists across its power bank range.
- Hard plastic housing — survives the bumps of daily commuting and campus life.
