Budi PB083B Power Bank | 20000mAh Capacity | 20W USB-C Power Delivery | 22.5W Quick Charge | LED Battery Indicator
A dependable reserve for long days far from a wall socket.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
The Budi PB083B Power Bank is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 3,600, brand new and sealed. It pairs a 20000mAh cell with 20W USB-C Power Delivery and 22.5W Quick Charge, so recent iPhones and most Android phones refill at fast-charge speed. An LED battery indicator on the casing shows how much reserve is left, so you always know when it needs a refill from the wall. The Budi PB083B Power Bank sits on the shelf at our store in the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, and staff will test it with your own handset before you pay.
Designed for journalists, logistics coordinators, boda boda riders and M-Pesa agents, the Budi PB083B Power Bank handles the long stretch between leaving home and finding a socket again. A phone running maps, WhatsApp calls and mobile money all day can be flat by mid-afternoon. With a 20000mAh reserve in the bag, you top up during a matatu ride and arrive with a working phone. The Budi PB083B Power Bank also keeps a router or lamp going when a KPLC outage hits Westlands or Industrial Area in the evening.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell power banks sealed in plastic with no chance to check them, Mascom International lets you plug in and watch the indicator respond before you buy. Buyers throughout Kenya report that a clear charge readout stops the guessing that leaves them stranded on long trips. If you also want cables attached to the body, compare it with the Budi PB083B2 Power Bank at KSh 3,500. Call in at Kimathi Street, or order the Budi PB083B Power Bank on WhatsApp with pay-on-arrival delivery to every county.
Common Questions About the Budi PB083B Power Bank
What is the Budi PB083B Power Bank price in Kenya?
The Budi PB083B Power Bank sells for KSh 3,600 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. The price covers a 6-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery, so nothing is paid until the parcel reaches you. The related Budi PB083B2 Power Bank costs KSh 3,500, KSh 100 less, and lists three built-in cables. You can pay in cash, by card or through Lipa na M-Pesa when you collect the Budi PB083B at our Kimathi Street store.
Should I buy the Budi PB083B or the Budi PB812B Power Bank?
Both hold 20000mAh, but the Budi PB083B Power Bank adds 20W USB-C Power Delivery alongside 22.5W Quick Charge, while the Budi PB812B Power Bank is a mini model with 22.5W fast charging and USB-C PD 3.0. The Budi PB812B costs KSh 3,500, KSh 100 below the Budi PB083B. Pick the Budi PB083B if you want both charging standards named on the box. Pick the Budi PB812B if a smaller body for a handbag or jacket pocket matters most.
How many times can the Budi PB083B Power Bank recharge a phone?
The Budi PB083B Power Bank holds 20000mAh, four times a 5000mAh phone battery, though real refills come in lower because some energy is lost as heat. Most buyers get several full charges of a typical Android phone and more for a smaller iPhone. Screen brightness, phone age and whether you use the phone while it charges all change the count. Customers across Nairobi tell us one fill lasts them most of a working week of daily top-ups.
What does the LED battery indicator on the Budi PB083B Power Bank show?
The LED battery indicator on the Budi PB083B Power Bank shows how much charge the power bank itself has left. A quick press or glance tells you whether to refill it before a long trip, so you never set off with an empty reserve. The lights also confirm that the power bank is taking charge when you plug it in. This matters for buyers travelling to Eldoret or Mombasa who cannot afford a surprise on the road.
Is the Budi PB083B Power Bank good for a Nairobi to Mombasa bus trip?
Yes, the Budi PB083B Power Bank carries enough reserve for an eight-hour coach journey with phone navigation, music and calls the whole way. Many long-distance buses in Kenya have no working USB sockets, so a 20000mAh power bank is the safer plan. Keep it in your carry bag rather than the luggage hold, out of direct sun through the window. Safaricom and Airtel signal drops along the route make phones search harder for network, which drains batteries faster.
Is it safe to charge the Budi PB083B Power Bank overnight?
The Budi PB083B Power Bank can be refilled overnight like any branded power bank, as long as it sits on a hard surface with air around it. Avoid charging it under a pillow, on a bed or in a hot car, because heat shortens battery life. During KPLC voltage swings, plug it into a surge-protected extension rather than a bare wall socket. Unplug it once the LED battery indicator shows full if you prefer to be careful.
Which phones charge fastest from the Budi PB083B Power Bank?
Phones that support USB-C Power Delivery or Qualcomm Quick Charge get the fastest top-up from the Budi PB083B Power Bank. That includes recent iPhones, Samsung Galaxy phones and many Android handsets sold in Kenya. Power Delivery runs at up to 20W and Quick Charge at up to 22.5W, and the power bank picks the right one automatically. Phones that use their own brand's charging system still charge, only at a standard speed rather than their top rating.
Who should buy the Budi PB083B Power Bank and who should skip it?
The Budi PB083B Power Bank suits field workers, commuters and university students at Strathmore or USIU who need a large reserve with fast charging for phones. Skip it if you want leads fixed to the body, because the Budi PB083B2 Power Bank lists three built-in cables. Skip it too if you plan to charge a laptop: 20W to 22.5W is too low for most notebooks, and a 65W or 100W laptop power bank is the right choice.
Technical Specifications
Core Function and Capacity
- 20000mAh battery — four times a typical 5000mAh phone battery, enough for several days of phone top-ups.
- Roughly 74Wh, worked out from the capacity — under the 100Wh cabin baggage limit most airlines set.
- LED battery indicator — lights on the casing show remaining reserve, so you refill before you run dry.
- Real-world refills — usable charge comes in below 20000mAh because some energy is lost as heat in transfer.
- Brand new and sealed — supplied in Budi retail packaging rather than as a loose or repacked unit.
Charging Speed and Standards
- 20W USB-C Power Delivery — PD is the fast-charge standard used by recent iPhones and many Android phones.
- 22.5W Quick Charge — QC is Qualcomm's fast-charge system, common on Android handsets with Qualcomm chips.
- Automatic selection — the power bank and the phone agree on the fastest speed both support, with no settings.
- Standard fallback — phones without PD or QC still charge safely, only at their normal speed.
- Phone-class output — suited to phones, earbuds and small tablets, not laptops that need 45W or more.
Device Compatibility
- iPhones — USB-C models take Power Delivery directly; Lightning models need a USB-C to Lightning lead.
- Samsung Galaxy phones — charge over USB-C at a fast rate, a good match for the A and S series.
- Tecno, Infinix, Oppo and Redmi phones — charge over a standard USB lead at a steady, reliable rate.
- Earbuds cases and smartwatches — top up from the power bank with their usual USB charging leads.
- MiFi routers and USB lamps — keep internet and light running in the evening during a power cut.
Build and Daily Use
- 20000mAh class body — sized for a backpack, handbag or laptop bag rather than a slim trouser pocket.
- Heat care — keep it off car dashboards and away from direct sun to protect the battery cells.
- Dust care — blow out the ports after dusty trips upcountry so plugs seat firmly every time.
- Surge sense — refill it from a surge-protected extension during KPLC voltage swings at home or the office.
- Readable status — the indicator lets you check charge in a glance, even in a dim matatu at night.
