Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 42,000, brand new and sealed, with a 1.47-inch Super AMOLED face at 480x480 pixels and a 445mAh battery. Samsung revealed the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 range at Galaxy Unpacked on 22 July 2026, and the larger 44mm case is now available in Kenya in Graphite and Silver. The Snapdragon Wear Elite chip, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage sit under sapphire crystal glass, and the screen reaches up to 3,000 nits. Collect the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 from our Kimathi Street shop in Nairobi CBD or have it delivered.
Designed for runners, gym regulars, doctors and field engineers, the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm handles long days that start before sunrise and end after dark. A small screen becomes a problem when you need pace and heart rate mid-run along Ngong Road, or a quick look at the next task between ward rounds. The 1.47-inch face shows more lines of text and bigger workout numbers than the 40mm, at a weight of just 34g. Dual-band GNSS maps runs through Karura Forest or the Nairobi Arboretum accurately, then hands the route to Samsung Health on your Android phone.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that ship watches from a warehouse you never see, Mascom International lets you strap the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm on at the counter before paying. At Mascom International, we're seeing runners and cyclists from Kilimani to Kitengela choose the 44mm for its larger numbers and roomier battery. Every unit carries a 12-month warranty serviced at our Nairobi CBD desk. Walk into the Old Mutual Building, First Floor Room 4, or send a WhatsApp message and pay on arrival wherever you are in Kenya.
Common Questions About the Samsung Galaxy Watch9
What is the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm price in Kenya?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm sells for KSh 42,000 brand new at Mascom International on Kimathi Street, Nairobi. For that you get the sealed watch, its wireless charging dock, the 12-month warranty and pay-on-arrival delivery to every county. A wall adapter is not in the box, so any USB-C phone charger will do. The 40mm version costs KSh 41,000, so the larger screen and 55mAh of extra battery capacity add just KSh 1,000. Payment is by M-Pesa or cash when the rider arrives.
Should I buy the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm or the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2?
Choose the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm at KSh 42,000 for daily wear and fitness; choose the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 at KSh 65,000 for diving, hiking and multi-day battery. The Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra2 has a 47mm titanium case, an 800mAh battery rated up to 60 hours with Always On Display, 10ATM and IP69K protection, and 64GB of storage. The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm weighs 34g against 61.5g, sits slimmer under a sleeve and costs KSh 23,000 less. Most office workers and weekend runners never need the extra toughness.
Can the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm track a run accurately without my phone?
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm has built-in dual-band GNSS, so it records pace, distance and route with the phone left at home. It reads GPS, Galileo, GLONASS, QZSS and BeiDou satellites, which helps under tree cover and between tall buildings in the CBD. Load a playlist onto the 32GB storage, pair Bluetooth earphones, and the run needs nothing else. GPS use drains the battery faster than normal wear, so charge before long sessions. Your route syncs to Samsung Health once you are back within reach of the phone.
How do I keep the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm charged during KPLC power cuts?
Charge the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm from a power bank or a laptop port, because its wireless dock connects by USB-C. The 445mAh battery is rated up to 30 hours with Always On Display, so a single overnight outage rarely leaves you with a flat watch. During longer blackouts in estates outside Nairobi, switch Always On Display off to stretch the charge. The dock follows the WPC wireless charging standard. Buyers throughout Kenya report that a small power bank in the work bag covers the odd missed charge.
How readable is the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm screen in bright sunshine?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm screen reaches up to 3,000 nits, bright enough to read in direct midday sun in Mombasa or Kisumu. The 1.47-inch Super AMOLED panel at 480x480 pixels shows more text per glance than the 1.34-inch face on the 40mm. Super AMOLED means each pixel makes its own light, so black areas stay dark and dark watch faces use less power. Sapphire crystal sits on top, guarding against scratches when you lean on a site railing or a lab bench.
Can I play music on the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm without my phone?
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm has 32GB of storage for downloaded playlists, and it plays them through Bluetooth 6.0 earphones with no phone nearby. Spotify and YouTube Music both offer watch apps through Google Play on Wear OS 7. Downloads go fastest over Wi-Fi, and the watch joins both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Offline downloads need a paid plan in most music apps. Leave the phone in a gym locker in Westlands and train to your own soundtrack.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm good for doctors and shift workers?
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm suits doctors, nurses and shift workers who need discreet alerts and clear sleep data. Messages and call alerts arrive as a vibration, so you can glance during a ward round without pulling out a phone. Sleep stage tracking, skin temperature and blood oxygen readings show how well you recover after night shifts. The aluminium case and IP68 rating tolerate frequent handwashing. The Samsung Health Monitor app adds ECG on Samsung Galaxy phones where the feature is enabled in your market.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm the right choice for me, or should I look at another model?
The Samsung Galaxy Watch9 44mm is the right choice if you own an Android phone, have a medium to large wrist and want the newest Galaxy Watch hardware. It is not for iPhone users, because it pairs only with Android. Slim wrists are usually happier with the Samsung Galaxy Watch9 40mm. If the budget stops near KSh 30,000, the Samsung Galaxy Watch8 44mm covers the core health and fitness features. Buyers who only need basic health tracking can save with the Samsung Galaxy Watch FE at KSh 19,500.
Technical Specifications
Display
- 1.47-inch Super AMOLED face at 480x480 pixels — bigger numbers for pace, heart rate zones and incoming texts at a glance.

- Sapphire crystal glass — a scratch-resistant layer that keeps the face clear after months of knocks against desks and gym racks.
- Always On Display — keeps the dial and alerts lit all the time, included within the official 30-hour battery rating.
