The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 12,500, brand new and sealed, with 65 keys, a POGO pin link and full-corner protection for the tablet. Samsung lists this cover as model EF-DX211 and builds it for the Galaxy Tab A9+, the 11-inch tablet in its budget A range. The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard weighs 434 g, needs no charging and has no pairing step. Collect it from our shop on the First Floor of the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD.
Built for secondary and university students, small traders and logistics coordinators across Kenya, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard turns a family tablet into a typing machine. Typing a long assignment or a list of orders on the touchscreen is slow, and the on-screen keys hide half the page. This cover gives you physical keys and a stand, so the full display shows your work. A student at Moi University can draft a project report, and a shop owner in Eastleigh can update a stock sheet between customers, without buying a laptop.
Where most Nairobi electronics shops push cheap Bluetooth folios that need their own charging cable, Mascom International stocks the Samsung part, which runs off the tablet through metal pins. At Mascom International, we're seeing parents buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard with the tablet for school use, since it also guards the corners against drops. We keep the Tab A9 Plus in stock, so tablet and cover can leave together. Visit us on Kimathi Street, or order the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard on WhatsApp and pay on arrival anywhere in Kenya.
Common Questions About the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard
What is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard price in Kenya?
The Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard sells for KSh 12,500 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new and sealed. The price includes the keyboard, the protective cover and a 6-month warranty on manufacturing defects. You pay only when the parcel reaches you. For comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Book Cover Keyboard costs KSh 24,000, which is KSh 11,500 more, because it adds a trackpad and fits a different tablet family.
Does the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard have a trackpad?
No, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard has keys only, with no trackpad. You move the cursor by tapping the screen, as you do now, and type on the physical keys. For most school and office writing that works well, since your hand moves from keys to screen only to place the cursor. If a trackpad matters to you, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Book Cover Keyboard has one, though it fits the Tab S9 FE and Tab S10 FE rather than this tablet.
Will the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard fit my Tab A11 Plus or Tab S10 Lite?
No, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard is made for the Tab A9 Plus body and pin position only. The Tab A11 Plus and Tab S10 Lite have their own shapes, so the cut-outs and connectors will not line up. Mascom International stocks all three tablets, so bring yours to Kimathi Street and we will show you which keyboard fits before you pay. A cover forced onto the wrong tablet can block buttons and the camera.
Does the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard need batteries or charging?
No, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard takes its power from the tablet through POGO pins, so it has nothing to charge. That matters in homes and shops that face KPLC power cuts, because you never find the keyboard flat when the lights go out. As long as the tablet has charge, the keys work. Snap the tablet in and start typing; Samsung's page notes no Bluetooth pairing or batteries are needed.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard good for school homework and KCSE revision?
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard suits learners who type essays, research notes and online assignments. Physical keys help a student build proper typing skills, which carry over to computer studies and later to university. The full-corner cover also protects the tablet when it travels in a school bag on a matatu or boda boda. Parents in Nakuru and Kisumu tell us it makes a Tab A9 Plus a practical alternative to a first laptop.
Can I use the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard for small business records and M-Pesa paperwork?
Yes, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard makes long entries faster in Google Sheets, invoicing apps and email. You can reconcile Lipa na M-Pesa statements, type customer receipts and update a delivery list without the on-screen keyboard covering your columns. Samsung's Function key and shortcuts like Screen Shot speed up routine tasks. Small traders find it easier to keep proper records when typing no longer feels like a chore.
Can the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard type on my Galaxy phone?
Yes, through Samsung's Wireless Keyboard Sharing, the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard can type on a Galaxy phone while it stays fixed to your tablet. Both devices need the same Samsung account, with One UI 3.1 or later on the phone, and up to 3 devices can be registered. Switch it on under Settings, General Management, Physical Keyboard. It helps when replying to long WhatsApp messages from customers while your tablet holds an open order sheet.
Who should buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard, and who should skip it?
Buy the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard if you own a Tab A9 Plus and want real keys plus corner protection at KSh 12,500. Skip it if you own a Tab S10 FE or Tab S9 FE: the Samsung Galaxy Tab S10 FE Book Cover Keyboard at KSh 24,000 fits those and adds an AI key. Tab S11 owners should look at the Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Book Cover Keyboard Slim at KSh 17,000.
Technical Specifications
Core Function
- 65 keys with large keycaps — wide, well-spaced keys that cut typing errors compared with tapping on the screen.
- Function key — a PC-style key that unlocks shortcuts, making the tablet behave more like a small laptop.
- Galaxy hotkeys — one-press Screen Shot and Wireless Sharing, saving trips into menus during a busy day.
- Samsung DeX support — shows apps in desktop-style windows on the tablet for multitasking on documents.
- No trackpad — cursor placement stays on the touchscreen, which keeps the cover thinner and the price lower.
Compatibility
- Model EF-DX211 — the Samsung part number on the box, which you can check to confirm a genuine unit.
- Galaxy Tab A9 Plus only — cut out for that tablet's camera, buttons, speakers and pin position.
- Not for Tab A11 Plus or Tab S10 Lite — those tablets differ in shape and need their own covers.
- Wireless Keyboard Sharing — type on a Galaxy phone with One UI 3.1 or later on the same Samsung account.
- Up to 3 registered devices — switch typing between your tablet and other Galaxy devices as needed.
Build
- 434 g weight — light enough for a school bag or an office tote along with the tablet.
- 261.4 x 174.5 x 17.3 mm — the closed size, close to a slim hardback exercise book.
- Full-corner cradle — wraps the tablet's corners, the points that take the hit when it slips off a desk.
- Black finish — a dark colour that hides dust and smudges from daily handling.
- Book-style fold — closes over the screen like a cover, shielding the glass from keys and coins in a bag.
Inclusions
- Keyboard with attached protective cover — one book-style piece that holds the tablet and carries the keys.
- POGO pin link — power and data flow from the tablet, so no cable or charger is supplied or needed.
- No batteries — nothing to replace, and no flat keyboard when you need it most.
- Sealed Samsung retail box — we can open it at the counter so you can fit your own tablet first.
- 6-month Mascom International warranty — covers manufacturing defects in the keys and pin connection under normal use.
Package Contents
The sealed Samsung box contains the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard, a single book-style piece that combines the keyboard and the protective cover. Because power comes from the tablet's pins, there is no cable, charger or battery in the box. The tablet is sold separately, and Mascom International stocks the Tab A9 Plus if you are buying both. We can open the box at the counter so you can see the fit before you leave.
Warranty
Mascom International backs the Samsung Galaxy Tab A9 Plus Book Cover Keyboard with a 6-month warranty covering manufacturing defects under normal use, including faulty keys and a failed pin connection.
