Plan a bank job with three friends, crack the vault and fight your way to the getaway van.
Condition: New
Note: price and availability are subject to change without prior notice
Payday 2 is in stock at Mascom International, priced at KSh 4,500 for a brand new and sealed PS4 copy. The disc sold for PS4 is Payday 2 Crimewave Edition, which bundles the base game with a year of add-on content first released on PC. Payday 2 is a first-person co-op shooter built around robberies: banks, jewellery stores, armoured trucks and nightclubs. It plays on any PS4 model and on a PS5 with a disc drive. You can collect it at Mascom International in the Old Mutual Building, Kimathi Street, Nairobi CBD, or order it for delivery.
Designed for groups of friends who want to play together, Payday 2 handles four-player online squads better than most PS4 shooters. Plenty of popular games reward the lone player who rushes ahead, and that leaves friend groups frustrated. In Payday 2 a heist only works when each person does a job: one handles the drill, one watches the cameras, one carries bags and one holds off the police. University students in shared hostels, office colleagues who game after work and cousins in different towns all use it as a weekly meetup. Payday 2 also lets solo players run heists offline with computer-controlled partners.
Unlike other electronics retailers in Kenya that sell pre-owned discs with worn cases and no paperwork, Mascom International sells Payday 2 sealed and covered by a written warranty. Buyers throughout Kenya report that Payday 2 is one of the cheaper ways to get months of group play on a PS4, since every heist can be replayed with new routes and higher difficulty. Lipa na M-Pesa when the parcel arrives, or visit our Kimathi Street shop to pick up Payday 2 in person and ask about PS Plus for online play.
Common Questions About the Payday 2
What is the Payday 2 PS4 price in Kenya?
Payday 2 for PS4 sells for KSh 4,500 at Mascom International in Nairobi CBD, brand new in a sealed case. The price covers the Crimewave Edition disc, its bundled add-on content and a 6-month warranty on disc defects. Delivery anywhere in Kenya is pay-on-arrival, so you see the seal before you pay. Online play needs a separate PS Plus subscription, which you can renew through the PlayStation Store or ask us about in store.
What does the Payday 2 Crimewave Edition include?
Payday 2 Crimewave Edition includes the full base game plus more than a year of add-on packs first released on PC. Those packs include the Armored Transport heists, Hotline Miami content, the Gage weapon packs, and character packs for Clover, Dragan, John Wick and Old Hoxton. You also get the Death Wish and Infamy updates and the game soundtrack playable during heists. Everything comes on the disc, so a PS4 owner in Kenya does not need to buy those packs separately.
Do I need PS Plus to play Payday 2 online in Kenya?
Yes, online co-op in Payday 2 on PS4 requires an active PS Plus subscription on the account that hosts or joins. Without PS Plus, you can still play every heist offline with computer-controlled crew members. Each friend in your squad needs their own copy of the game and their own PS Plus. Kenyan gamers usually pay for PS Plus with a PlayStation Store wallet top-up, and many sync their renewal date so the whole crew stays active together.
Will Payday 2 run well on Safaricom or Airtel home fibre?
Payday 2 runs well on Safaricom or Airtel home fibre, since online co-op uses little bandwidth compared with streaming video. A steady connection matters more than raw speed, so a wired network cable to the PS4 helps more than a faster package. Mobile hotspots work but drop more often during busy evening hours. Before the first session, let the console download the latest patch once. That download is far larger than an evening of heists, so start it overnight on fibre.
What happens to a Payday 2 heist during a KPLC power cut?
A KPLC power cut during an online Payday 2 heist drops you from the match, and progress on that heist is lost. Your character level, money and unlocked gear earned on finished heists stay saved on your account. The host matters most: if the host console loses power, the whole squad gets kicked. Crews in areas with frequent outages often let the friend with a UPS host. Mascom International sells UPS units sized for a PS4 and router together.
How does Payday 2 compare with Payday 3?
Payday 3 is the newer sequel, released for PS5 and Xbox Series consoles, and it does not run on PS4. That makes Payday 2 the series entry for PS4 owners in Kenya. Payday 3 has updated graphics and a modern setting in New York, while Payday 2 has years of content and a large library of heists in one package. Choose Payday 2 if you own a PS4 or want more heists for less money. Choose Payday 3 if you already game on a PS5.
Who should buy Payday 2 and who should skip it?
Payday 2 is for players with friends to team up with, and for anyone who likes planning, stealth and loud firefights in one game. It suits hostel groups, colleagues and long-distance friends who want a regular session together. Skip it if you play alone and want a deep story, since the offline crew mode is fun but thin. Solo players who want a long campaign should look at Persona 5, also on PS4 disc at Mascom International. Payday 2 is rated 18 and is not suitable for children.
Can I play Payday 2 on a PS5 with this disc?
Yes, the Payday 2 PS4 disc plays on a PS5 through backward compatibility, provided the PS5 has a disc drive. A standard PS5 reads it directly, while a PS5 Digital Edition needs the separate drive attached. Your PS4 friends and PS5 friends can still join the same heists together online, because they are running the same PS4 game. If you plan to upgrade consoles later, a disc copy of Payday 2 moves with you instead of being tied to one machine.
